Ideas are constantly flowing through my mind. Perhaps I'm stuck on fiction, who knows? Many of them get discarded within seconds of being invented, but a few others linger. Big surprise? I think not.
This thread will house the ideas of mine that linger longer than normal. I do intend to write them eventually, so I will hold rights to them. I merely wish to post some of those that are actually relevent to this site, and perhaps get some feedback on the ideas.
Who knows, if enough people like an idea, I might be inclined to get started on it faster. Stay tuned!

Human Curse
Zachaios was a proud, daunting dragon, one of the most promising warriors in his group. Even though only in his teens, he had already successfully fought off a nest-raid by a nearby giant group. All the world seemed like it was his, the miniscule humans cowering at sight of him, the giants retreating from his powerful flame.
Until 'it' happened.
Falling victim to a backfired magical prank by one of his dragon peers, Zachaios was left with a human body, unable to return to his former draconic glory. And, to make matters worse, shortly after came another nest-raid by the giants ... he was unable to help in the defense this time. Instead, he was captured by one of the raiders, though they seemed to think it was a "rescue." He was taken away from his family despite his arguments, to reside with the giant until he'd recovered.
He hated it. But, will the giant and his human friend be able to convince Zachaios of the virtues of the other races, or will he forever retain his sense of superiority? (c) Neon Dragons are cool. I have a story that this one is sort of inspired by/branched from. But, that one is more of a satire than an actual story, and less relevant here. This one would focus on dear Zachaios's overcoming his internal barriers and in general becoming a better person, yada yada yada.

Mediator
Delainey Pryr was a relatively normal teenager, living out a fairly carefree life. She got good grades, ran for the track team, and was a safe driver, for a 16-year-old. One summer, her life took a drastic and fantastical turn.
During a short visit to her aunt in the more backwoodsy area of Montana, Delainey stumbles into a secret in the forest behind her aunt's home. Somehow, she is transported to the realm of Strel-Kidri, a place where magic exists in its own way, in each and every living being, including herself.
But it was not a sunshine and happiness sort of place. Strel-Kidri had been in the midst of a deep-running blood feud, between the Shiaden, graceful, elf-like people, and the Kra, a race that can only be described as drow-like. Their animosity towards each other is only matched by their fear of a third race, that looms over the very treetops ... (c) Neon I really like this one. I think I will probably write it out relatively soon ... the more I think about it, the more I like the idea! No, Kra and Shiaden aren't exactly like the typical elves/drow, but they are similar. In any case, yeah, giants are just giants. XD

From the sounds of things, the second one is everyone's favorite.
On that note, I have good news ... I am indeed writing it out.

The Rift or The Mark
In a time when crime rules the nights of all cities, human and giant alike, most everyone has to have friends in crime circles in order to get by. Some of the more dangerous groups even earn fear from other crime bosses.
Elise is the elite of the elite. Her reputation as an assassin spans well beyond the boundaries of the Capital City, even to the neighboring Giant city, for a special reason. Elise is the only known human in all of history to single-handedly kill a giant. And those who wish to find her either never do or they turn up dead.
When someone wants a solid guarantee that their mark will be dead swiftly, they know to ask the Agency for Elise. So, when a stranger to the city challenges her to duplicate her legendary deed, the Agency calls on her again. What answer will she have for this second suicide mission? (c) Neon This summary is somewhat vague and less connected, I know. There's a lot to the story idea that I just couldn't put here without giving too much away.

Glare
The night hosts many a different kind of life. From the wide-eyed owls to the cunning raccoons, a nocturnal menagerie keeps the world alive. Many never open their eyes to the light of day, preferring instead to sleep until the next moonrise. One such creature, known to humans as the Shadow Bat, earns a particular kind of respect and fear from those who know of them. Many myths and legends surround the Shadow Bats, mainly because they are never seen in daytime, and have never been captured before for study. As record of them fades, many begin to doubt that they exist at all, that sightings of them streaking through the sky are really sightings of a normal bat. Shadow Bats melt into shadows. They weave the darkness into nets for their prey. They drink blood. They climb walls. They silently stalk lonely people in the night. They whisper lies and sow seeds of mistrust in humans every chance they get. Their eyes have no pupils, only a deep red that gleams with evil. Only some of the myths are true. The Shadow Bats know themselves as Spectres. They share a similar image to the humans that stand so high above them. Their skin, though, is black as pitch, and their eyes are varying shades of red, with slit pupils. They abhor direct sunlight—firelight and electrical light irritates them. They weave shadows into cloaks used for flight, using the likeness of bat wings. They avoid humans at all costs, for capture would mean death. Adult Spectres gain the ability to climb any surface and suggest illusions to human ears in an effort to stay hidden. (c) Neon Just came up with this one a few days ago. I rather like it as far as potential goes. And no, Spectres/Shadow Bats are NOT vampires ... blood is one option of many in their diets. I'm considering doing an RP of this, as well as writing the story myself. It seems to be a fun idea for that.

Stage Whisper or Who is Your Shield?
Aaron and Rena are on the run. Their own kind, the elusive Whisperers, have put a price on their capture. It wouldn't be so tough if they weren't Little.
Every living species in the world has a Big and Little counterpart. The Whisperer governments--both Big and Little, cooperate more closely than any other species, because of how rare they are. Both governments are looking out for the Spade siblings. Their parents are dissenters, and the best leverage is, of course, the children.
Aaron must keep his sister safe, as his primary goal. They may never be able to stop running, to come out of hiding. That is, until someone notices them. And it's just their poor luck that the one who notices has a forest of Big trees to help them ... (c) Neon This universe has limitless potential for different stories. This is one of many that I've come up with. I even have a mini-story planned about the Big and Little Gods. I put it here as a placeholder ... I may get around to developing it further someday.
