Magnolia rubbed her head. She'd felt Like she got hit in the head with a coconut...or ten. All she remembered was walking with a bunch of her friends and then...It was all a blur. Magnolia stood up and gazed around the dark cave; it was almost like an oven.
"Well, At least I'm alive...And Carol Ann and da others...'Eir alive too..." She tired her best to be optimistic. But the terrifying thing was what if she was wrong? What if they all suffer horrible deaths? What if she was next? === Lucifer sighed as he heard the doors open. Those terrible ugly 'tributes' were here. He had no time to trifle over such meager things. His main focus was his beauty; Lucifer constantly brushed his ebony hair and fawned over himself. he wasn't going to let some hideous human interrupt his 'me time'.
"Adonis, Fetch my tribute. I'm too busy right now." He told his servant,who was in his cloud creature form.
Adonis chirped and flew down the corridor to claim his masters prize. He felt sorry for the young being who's fate had been sealed. === Carol Ann hugged her body as she rocked back and forth on the balls of her feet. She absolutely hated the dark...and creepy caves. She wished she was back at home, doing commutiny service and reading to little kids...Yeah that was her comfort zone.
"I-if there's any monsters here...I taste horrible." She called out into the empty cave, hoping and praying that nothing would reply.

"Ay, qué pa-...?" Christinia muttered as she woke with a start. She blinked a few times to make sure she really was opening her eyes. It was pretty darned dark ... she shuddered. She pushed herself to a sitting position slowly, groaning with stiffness. She found that her medical field bag was still with her ... she figured that some of the instruments had to have been broken, though. It was just a circumstance that matched the situation. She opened the bag, fishing in the dark, looking for something. "Ah, rats," she murmured to brush past a few shards of glass. Finally, she found what she was looking for and fished it out. She tried pushing the switch on the little penlight, blinking when the tip illuminated. Still, Christinia could only barely see a few inches in front of her face. She stood shakily, her confidence boosted a bit by the light, however small it was.
~~~~~ Leviathan alerted to the noise of a new tribute ... he could hear the door open from his chamber. He rolled his eyes. His fellow demons would probably send their servants to retrieve their tributes. The jerks. He shook his head and rolled over from his relaxed position, reclining on air. He righted himself, the end of his tail fanning out and wavering slightly, propelling him forward. He left the chamber into the dark to find the tribute. Might as well accept it, even if the others probably got better humans anyway. He flipped to creep upside down just near the ceiling, making only a hushed whisper of noise as he moved. When he heard the human call out, he froze where he was, then grinned humorously. He snickered quietly for a certain dramatic effect, knowing that the little human would probably hear.
((Blah, sorry if it seems rushed ... writing this during school))
Silver protested and complained as they dragged their master's new "pet" back to his lair. She was a young girl, too young to face the horror Mammon might bring to her.
"Did you have to hit her so hard?" Silver snipped at his brother in arms. He placed both hands on his hips, irritated. The pace they were returning to Mammon was swift and rushed, Silver kept tripping over himself. The small girl slept on, unknowing of her fate.
"I'm sorry. Don't die, like us...ok?" Silver whispered to her, "Or you will become like us." Silver had been only 18 when he had jumped off the mighty table Mammon took his meals on, thus ending his life. But that wasn't the end, no, with a demon as greedy as Mammon death was never the end. -----------------
Gula kneeled to the floor. He didn't want to hurt his human. He never did, until his mask came off, then he usually ate them. It was a compulsion, a bad one at that. He heard footsteps. His slightly pointed ears perked at the sound. His bright, yellow eyes glittered in the dark. He waited, his sense of smell picking up the small human. He held his hand out for her to "accidently" walk on, a smile growing behind his mask. She was almost there, her lightly perfumed scent almost overpowering to the demon, when a loug clang echoed in the hall. He didn't check his knot and his mask fell free from his face. Time seemed to stop, the electricty running along his small sliver horns lighting up their little space. She looked scared, oh so scared. He bore down on her suddenly, his lips bringing her into his mouth.
But he could not bring himself to swallow for some reason. She beat agasint his tongue, against his lips and fangs, but that was normal. He just could bring himself to swallow. Grabbing his mask and almost slipping on the stone, he rushed back into his room and spat her back out upon his straw bed. He pushed the mask to his face, panting with fright.
"Are....you..." he boomed, his voice thick like thunder. ------------
Zeal halted his playing. He looked around himself in fear. A cold sweat clung to his brow. His bow fll limp to the ground.
"Hello?" he called out in a small voice, "Who is there?" His violin fell limply to his side as he peered into the dark.
"It's Zeal!" he cried hoping that what was coming was part of his party. He lifted his bow quickly and the violin uttered a quick, jittery tune before the sound of scales scraping against the floor drowned him out. He was shaking now.
"Guys?" he stammered, unsure. A shadow, blacker than the darkness around him, loomed over the small blond.
"Oh god."
((Here's Wrath's post...I'll do Lust's in un momento...;>__>...))
Amon gave an annoyed growl as he heard the a familiar faint sound of a shaft opening and then abruptly closing. It was time. The sacrifices were here. And he HATED it. Sacrifices were a bother in his opinion. They were annoying, whiny, tasted like shit (he tried that only once), and too easy to kill. Everything about them pissed him off…Not that it wasn’t easy to do that. Giving another impatient growl and a snort, he whistled for Levi and Simon.
Immediately, two fireball-like creatures appeared.
“Yes, master?,” one of them spoke up.
“The sacrifices are here. Get mine. Let’s just get this over with…”
“Yes sir!” responded the other one almost cheerfully resulting in another annoyed snort from Amon. He hated cheerful…and He was pretty sure Simon knew that. But you can’t kill what’s already dead, can you?
~~Moments later~~
Simon and Levi approach Amon’s quarters. Upon entering, Simon smirked. “Ha! I win! I knew it was going to be a girl this time! Master is going to be surprised..He hasn’t gotten a girl in ages…"
“I don’t think he’s going to care……,” responded Levi in stoic voice.
“Or it may make him angry…”
Levi didn’t respond to that.
Once twenty feet or so away from the girl, the two fireballs “poofed” into their ‘human’ forms.
“Hello there, Girlie!” Grinned Simon playfully while Levi simply looked on coldly.
Levi sighed. It was going to be a loooong day. …well..if the girl was lucky that is….
As Sophia looked around searching for her friends, she heard a loud metallic clang that echoed the long enormous hallway. Before she could see where the sound came from, a large shadow descended on her and she was trapped inside a huge mouth. She screamed in terror and pounded against the huge sharp teeth. Tears started to well up in her eyes as her efforts started to wane. But for some reason, whose ever mouth this belonged to, it didn't swallow her. Suddenly she was shifted around slightly and felt the monster running quickly. The next thing she knew was she was spat out on a large straw bed. She looked up at the monster who was fixing its metal mask. He had short purple hair and glowing yellow eyes. He looked human enough, but the horns and hooves said otherwise. "Are....you..." boomed the giant, whose voice sounded like thunder. Sophia couldn't talk. She was trembling and covered in saliva. She tried to hold back her tears, but they came out anyway as hiccups and muffled sobs. --------------------- Belphegor looked down at the small human. He was young, looking no more than 19. He trembled before the giant snake demon, his purple eyes staring up in fear. Slowly and carefully, Belphegor wrapped his snake tail around the human. He felt him struggle against his tail and was careful not to constrict the life out of him. Slowly, he brought the human up to his face, his third eye looking down on him. The serpentine demon flicked his snake tongue, tasting the air around the young human. The boy started to cry, his tears slashing on Sloth's scales. He could of just constricted the human, and devour him quickly. But he couldn't. He just couldn't. There was something about this.. human that prevented him from devouring him.. What was it? --------------------- Pauline wandered the large hallway for her friends, but to no avail. But she pushed herself and kept looking. As she continued down the hallway, she saw something flying towards her. When it got closer, she saw that it was a cute-looking cloud creature. It flew up to her and moved around her. It chirped and nudged at her, as if it wanted her to go with it. "Aren't you the cutest thing?" Pauline said sweetly. The creature chirped and nudged at her more. She let out a weak laugh. "Okay, okay.. I'll come with you.. Are you going to to take me to my friends?" she asked it. The cloud creature didn't answer and just kept nudging her. Figuring that was were it was taking her, she followed it. They soon came to a large door. "Are my friends here?" The creature merely chirped in response. Slowly, she opened the door and looked inside. She looked up, only to be met with a giant, with black hair and a bright glowing aura around him. Pauline trembled and shook in terror as she stared up at the giant. Unable to to take the situation, her eyes rolled back and she passed out.
Magnolia stared at the two large beings in front of her. She was on the brink of running around like a crazy person till she hit a wall and pasted out. There was no way that this could be real,but then again. "Me friends! Where are they? We were all together a second ago...Please tell me that they be alive. And what be this crazy place,now? It hotta than the sand on a scorchin day in Jamaica." All while she said this, she kept a straight face, not willing to show any fear. The two stared at each other in disbelief; one had a slightly amused look on his face. Magnolia didn't acknowledge it though. She sat there and waited...Waited for the answer that she hoped was what she wanted to hear. --- The Sound was like a cruel laughter when it enter the poor scared-half-to-death Carol Ann. She gazed warily around the cave, but see as though she couldn't see that well, it was a useless attempt. when that same snickering sounded off again, Carol Ann broke down. She she'd so hard and so loud that it echoed around her. "Somebody! Anybody, help me, please! I don't wanna die...not alone...I don't wanna die alone." Carol Ann sounded so pitiful at that moment, but she should have picked her words more wisely.There was movement toward the top of the cave that made Carol Ann stop shedding her tears. She looked upwards, fearing what crept above her.
---
Adonis transformed into his human form and fell to his knees beside the girl."Please wake up...Don't die,okay?" his long soft orange hair flowed around him touching her face and arms. She was such a pretty thing; even Lucifer couldn't ignore her beauty. Adonis only hoped that he didn't get jealous. That's what happened to most of his tributes...if they called him ugly or didn't fawn over him when he demanded it, he'd kill them. Adonis picked up the girl and held her close to him, his hair whipped around them like a vortex.
Lucifer glimpsed at the two small figures from his vanity mirror. He really paid the no mind. The tributes where often plain Mary-Sues anyway. Why would he stop his personal grooming for a dumb human? He stole glances from his mirror though; some times he would be able to see through the curtain of Adonis's hair to see her tiny face. The more glimpses he got, the more curious her became. Lucifer got to he point where he stop his grooming and turned to stare at the girl. Adonis brought her forward and laid her down at his feet. Then he changed back into his cloud-creature form and sat on Lucifer's shoulder. Lucifer gingerly picked up his human and stared at her features; he blanched slightly. She was as beautiful as he was.
((Here Neon..I finally made you a post XDD...I'll do yours, lightheart, later...))
Asmodeus yawned. He was bored. Oh~ so bored! He snorted as he stacked a bunch of rocks into a pyramid-like structure lazily. ‘A “playmate” would be oh so fun to have right about now,’ he thought with a sigh.
As if on cue, A water droplet creature flew into the room and transformed into a young man right in front of Asmodeus’ eyes. Not that this phased him. He was used to it.
“Master! Master!”
“What is it, Yetzer?”
“A sacrifice is waiting for yooouuu~”
Asmodeus didn’t bother to hide his excitement. “Really? Wonderful! Let’s go greet her..him?":
“It’s a female I believe….”
“Heh. Doesn’t matter to me.”
With that said, the two headed off towards his chambers. As, he and Yetzer got closer and closer to his room, it became gradually darker and darker. Being a creature of water and ice, Asmodeus abhorred fire (which was their only source of light.) Luckily, for him he had excellent night vision as the darker it got, the more his eyes began to literally glow. Upon he reaching his chambers, he saw a small amount of light causing him to frown some. Though, as he entered, he saw the small creature holding an object that was not fire at all! He shoved his curiosity and frown aside though, as he grinned wildly.
“Hello, Hello, little girl!”
"Me friends! Where are they? We were all together a second ago...Please tell me that they be alive. And what be this crazy place,now? It hotta than the sand on a scorchin day in Jamaica."
At this, Simon gave a puzzled look. For one, it took him awhile to register what she said due to her thick accent. And second, he had no idea what or where this Jamaica place was. However, before he could respond, Levi, surprisingly, spoke up.
“Your friends - they are all alive for now. Now, come with us. Master awaits…and he is not one for patience.”
Seeing, the girl just looking at him dumbfounded still, he sighed. “Either follow us, or does Simon have to get physical.”
“What!?” Why me!?”
“I don’t like touching people…"
“Weirdo..,” snorted Simon before giving a sigh and sly grin towards the girl. “Are you coming or do I, indeed, have to get ‘physical’”
His counterpart's words echoed inside Gold's head bringing up sad memories better left forgotten. He had had a life. It had been simple but it was also real. Now he was just another one of his master's 'things' and as bleak as that outlook was, it was the only path left to him in his current state. Soon they arrived back where they had started and Gold placed the sleeping girl gently on the floor. He gave a small nod to Silver and started back to there original positions upon the simple table in the center of the room.
-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-
A low moan rumbled through Atiya as conciseness broke through hazy sleep. Her sense of deja-vu was only interrupted by the pounding in her skull. Everything seemed to spin in a hectic circle as she pushed herself up on wobbling arms. Thinking was difficult. Her mind refused to focus on any one thought and trying only proved to increase the ache in her skull. 'What happened to me?' Atiya let out a loud groan and decided that maybe staying closer to the ground might decrease the disorientation. On all fours, for the life of her feeling like some kind of dog, she managed to crawl slowly forward. Her path was blessedly free of obstacles but it only served to confuse her further. 'I wonder how big this place is. It feels airer now so I must be out of that tunnel but where could I possibly be?' She continued to make her way along the floor, preferring the tiring movement to the madness of sitting still to await her fate. After a while her hands brushed up against something rough. Pulling away she gasped but curiosity soon got the best of her. At first she had thought what touched her fingers was unpleasant but as she ran her hands more throughly the object held an almost silky texture. Thin ropes extended upward beyond reach. It seemed study enough. 'Maybe it's a way out. Couldn't hurt to try...' Taking a deep breath Atiya started to climb. The further she got, the thicker the ropes became. There also seemed to be some kind of underlaying structure supporting the mass. Suddenly her world gave a violent jerk. A pulse seemed to reverberate underneath her and above the air gave a ghastly heave. She clung for dear life but nothing could prepare her for the deafening clap of thunder that struck her to the very bone. "Help me." She squeaked into a face full of the silky ropes as everything went still. It took her frazzled brain several moments before realizing that the once ink black room now held a soft light. Straining her neck backward Atiya gasped aloud and slide numerous feet from her perch. "It's.....it's beautiful." Lining the walls and gently illuminating the entire room with their muted glow were thousands of fireflies. They hovered in lazy patterns seemingly content with their simple lives. Securing herself once more, Atiya twisted around to survey the rest of her surroundings only to gasp once more at the sheer size of it all. Her whole home town could fit in the single space many times over and still have room left to grow. Piles upon piles of gold lined the walls along the floor line and even more sat quietly atop an over sized desk. As a matter of fact everything seemed over sized. Curious she turned back to her hands tangled into the strange rope. They shone a smooth black and for some reason reminded her of hair. She let her eyes travel upward following her intended path. The blackness continued for quite a bit before disappearing over a ledge and into a sight that stopped her heart. It sat upright, leaning slightly to the side to stare quietly down at her. Chopped pink hair sprouted out of patch work skin while bangs brushed against black pools of light. A shiver raced down her spine as ink colored wings shifted slightly to give their inset red eyes a clearer view. This creature held her life in its hands, of that she was certain. The only question remaining, was when and how it would decide to act upon that privilege.
Gula turned away from the girl in sorrow. No bolts ran up his horns with his mask on and his hunger was subdued, so he thought that everything was fine, but the girl... she was crying now. His sharp hearning could catch that much. Her sweet voice was cracking with sorrow. To a normal demon, it was music. But Gula was not like the others.
He remembered a bit of when he was human.
Tears welled up in his eyes as he attempted to wipe them away from his reddening features. A sniffle, like a thunderclap, escaped him. He turned to look over his shoulder.
"I'm sorry," he choaked out. If he could return to being human, he would give away anything he had. But his sin, gluttony, was not a thing one could rid themself of very easily.
-----------------------------------
Zeal looked up at the snake-like giant in fear. His stomach dropped as a forked tongue rushed to meet him. It never made direct contact with the boy. He gazed up at the single eye that gazed feircly down at him.
Zeal, in the light of the single golden eye, found that his tears had stopped. The boy resigned himself to fate.
"Eat me..." he hissed breaking their gaze. He waited...and waited... but the demon made no move against him. All the emotions that he held inside him came bursting out like water trapped by a flimsy dam.
"Where are my friends? Where am I? Who are you? What are you? You're going to kill me right? Huh? Do it!" he shouted at the giant in a cracking voice. He beat his small hands against the giant's scales until his hands began to redden with fresh blood. Tears, not of sorrow but of rage, dripped down from behing his glasses. And the fragile frames, the only thing keeping him from going temporarily blind, fell free from the bridge of his nose.
"My glasses!" the boy cried as he heard them strick the floor. Luckily, they only cracked slightly, he heard no shatter of glass. His world melded into a sick colored blur. His bloody hands groped at the scales helplessly. Zeal struggled, but to no avail. He was not going anywhere.
------------------------------------------------- Something was tickling his tail! It was getting to be really annoying. Mammon's large black tail trashed about trying to dislodge the insect. It was most likely Silver trying to grab his attention. Mammon growled a warning note, but the groping hands in his fur would not vanish. His opal-like eyes snapped open. He clapped his hands loudly together and the fireflies that served as his form of soft light began to glow and hum. Mammon used one tree-sized arm to prop himself up. His glittering idol servents were in their place on the table. So what was grabbing his sensative tail?
Mammon leaned over his bed and looked down at the scattered peices of gold coins and various loose gems to see a human girl grabbing onto his tail. Slightly surprised, Mammon gave his tail a violent flick sending the poor girl sliding across the stone floor.
"Oh...that must have hurt," Mammon breathed crawling down from his bed on all fours. He crept towards the girl, the brightly dyed cloth around his waist dragging against the ground. His tail wagged slightly behind him. The eyes on his wings narrowed, focusing on the girl, their ruby eyes seeing the human's aura. It was blue and black, afraid and hurt. Other than that, she was a very pretty girl. He licked his lips.
"How dare you touch your master so freely," he sneered, deeply regreting his choice of words as soon as they slipped free.
Sophia couldn't control herself and kept crying. She knew that this must be the end and accept her fate to become food for this demon. As she was expecting him to devour her, she heard a loud thunderous sniffle. She opened her eyes and saw the great demon turn his back away from her.
'Is.. is he crying?' thought Sophia.
The giant demon looked over his should, his glowing yellow eyes staring at her with sadness. "I'm sorry," he choked. What kind of demon was he? He was going to eat her before, but now he's apologizing to her about it? Finding her voice, Sophia spoke out. "I-If you a-a-are going to e-e-eat me, th-then do it already!" she shouted to him. "S-Stop toying w-w-w-with me and g-g-get it over w-w-with!" she hiccuped, tears still spilling from her eyes. She knew she probably shouldn't have said that, but she resigned to her fate and waited for him to eat her. ------------------------ Belphegor stared at the human's pitiful attempts to free himself from his tail. "Where are my friends? Where am I? Who are you? What are you? You're going to kill me right? Huh? Do it!" he yelled, pounding on the demon's hard snake scales until they were raw and bleeding. Suddenly he saw something fall off the human and fall to the ground. "My glasses!" he cried as he grabbed onto Belph's scales. Curious, the demon bent down to see what it was.
As he got closer, he looked and saw the glasses. One of the lenses was cracked, but other than that it was still wearable. Gently, Belphegor picked up the tiny specks with his huge tree trunk-thick fingers. He held the glasses in his palm and stared at them. As he stared at them, images flashed through his head. It was a young boy wearing glasses like the ones in his hand. 'Who is that?' he thought to himself. Moving it to the back of his mind, he turned his attention back to the weeping human.
He lifted his hand to the boy, offering his glasses back to him. The tiny human took the glasses and put them back onto his face. "Human...." spoke Belphegor, lethargically. "..There is something.... about you.... something that prevents me from devouring you...... Though I do not know why..... I have decided to spare your life...... Despite how troublesome it is......" he boomed and began to slither back to his chambers. --------------------------- Pauline slowly began to open her eyes as a bright light awoke her.Strangely, she felt as though she was floating, but at the same time on something solid. Whatever she was one, it felt like flesh. Slowly opening her eyes and letting them adjust to the bright light, Pauline began to see where she was. Looking up she saw a huge blurry figure hovering over her. As her vision began to focus and the figure became clearer, her pale face went even paler.
A huge giant with black hair and a (very) beautiful face hovered over her, starting at her. Pauline felt fearful from the giant and shy for letting her see her "ugly" face. Thinking quickly, she hid her eye behind her hair and her face behind her scarf. She never thought herself as beautiful. She was always so self-conscious about her face. "P-P-Please d-d-d-don't eat m-me...." she pleaded, hoping that the giant would listen to her.
Leviathan was surprised at the girl's stalwartness ... admired it, in fact. Even though she was clearly terrified (he had winced a bit at the shrill screaming), she stayed there. He raised an eyebrow when she finally noticed him. “Then it’s probably a good thing you’re not alone … “ he replied, his voice still a bit of a breathy hiss. He crept further along on the ceiling, and then lightly pushed off. He ended up leaning on his elbows in the air, facing the girl’s back, his tail curved up and behind him in an arc. Wasting no time on politeness, he reached out and poked her shoulder. “You look funny,” he commented in his low voice.
~~~~~~~~~~ Christinia gasped and whipped her head around to the source of the booming voice. In the process of being so startled, she dropped her penlight. It flickered and went out, and she made a small cry of surprise. The most surprising thing, though, was that still, rather high up in the air, a pair of orbs glowed on. She gulped at the sight, staring steadily up. “Qu-quién … ay … Who are you?” she asked timidly. She could see nothing of whatever it was that had spoken, except for what she assumed to be its eyes. “Are you going to hurt me?”
(Sorry for short posts, guys ...)

Her world was interrupted by yet another upheaval. One second Atiya gripped what she had come to realize was the demons tail and the next she was falling, skidding across the floor. Yet her journey was short lived. With a sickening jarr her body collided with the wall, stealing the very breath from her lungs. Every bone in her body seemed to scream from the pain. She slowly turned her head toward the demon, refusing to cry. Crying never helped anyone. It only served to cloud minds and call attention to one's self. That lesson had been learned young and had never been forgotten. She gave a mighty sniff and tried to straighten her aching body into a sitting position. Against her will a tiny shriek escaped her at the rolling words pushed against her ears. "P-p-p-please........s-sir......" She closed her eyes trying to steady herself. Something about the demons eyes struck her to the core. The blazing red ones pinned her to the spot while the set of black engulfed her very soul. 'I'm so scared. My heart feels like it's about to burst. Just breath. Just keep breathing Atiya and you can get through this.' Mustering all her courage the tiny human took a large gulp of air and opened her eyes. "I-I'm so sorry. P-please s-sir. I'm lost. I d-d-don't know what happened to me o-or any of the people i-i was w-with. P-please help m-me."

( I am the Poke Genie! Your Poke Has Been Answered! )
Magnolia blinked; Was violent always the second option? Well, since she had no earthly idea where she was she might as well follow the two beings. It was certainly better than frying in this oven of a cave.
"I'll come wit you,now. Ain't no need to be getting 'physical', no need at all." Magnolia raised her hand, showing that she wasn't going to struggle. Who knows, maybe their 'master' was friendly. Unfortunately, Magnolia didn't know how wrong she was. ===
Carol Ann could only gawk in awe and horror at the green giant. If her eyes got any bigger they'd pop out of there sockets. Carol Ann could feel the warm salty tear coming out of them again; why was fate so cruel? She had done nothing but good deeds and yet here she was, facing her doom.
Carol Ann collapsed onto the hard stone floor, unconscious. === Lucifer smiled wickedly; it seemed the girl was self-conscious. He would exploit that to the end of the human's life."Now why would I even put an ugly think like you in my mouth. Why the stench from you is enough to make me loose my appetite."
Adonis glared and his master. How could he say such awful things? Did his vanity knew no bounds. Lucifer smirked at him, sending waves of anger rippling through his body, but he dared not to go against his master. That would mean a fate worst that this.
