Jean’s POV
*next morning*
“Hey, Hey! Wake up!”
I removed the book I left on my face, to my delight I saw Josh, staring at me with burning eyes and a now bandaged arm.
“Hey, you remember me, the guy with the broken arm that you locked into the trunk of that crappy car of yours, all night.”
I blinked twice, got out of my seat and yawned,
“Oh, after all the commotion last night I forgot all about you, my bad.”
Josh angrily followed me out of my office as I went to check on Meko and my brother. I can’t believe how much a jock could complain like a house wife. By time we reached the ground floor Josh was actually repeating himself.
“Your bad, you’re right your bad, what would have happened to you if I suffocated in there?”
“Well, you didn’t, did you and it’s a lot better than rotting in a ten by ten cell.”
We continued to go back and forth until we came to the area where Ulrich was held. Unfortunately we didn’t found he in the containment circle instead the rods were deactivated.
“Aww crap he’s out.”
“Whose out?”
“Ulrich.”
At that moment Josh began to cringe,
“Well look at the time, gotta go.”
He then attempted to run away, which he failed miserably after I squeezed his arm. As he knelt down I said,
“So you remember what happened last night.”
“Yuh huh.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t let Ulrich get his hands on you before the cops do, but right now we need to find him and Meko.”
We then began to run around hoping we would bump into them, luckily I was right. I saw Ulrich with his mouth open and Meko standing on the walking platform above him with a plate full of pancakes, pouring them into his mouth. I was relieved that Ulrich had forgotten all about the container. I told Josh who was whimpering like a wiener dog to stay hidden as I approached them.
“Good morning Jean, sorry about letting Ulrich out of the grid thing but he was getting hungry and the scientists told me there was a lot of flour in the cafeteria and well I let you know who out of the trunk and fixed up his arm.”
“Don’t worry, as long as Ulrich doesn’t go for the you know what.”
Ulrich then turned to me, chewing and smiling with a full mouth and crumbs on his face. His eyes still had that magenta shade, meaning he was still a kid mentally, meaning that it would be easier to cure him. I walked towards Ulrich and said,
“Ulrich, its time for you to get all better.”
He looked at me with a puzzling look,
“Better, am I sick?”
“Yes you are, (whispers) especially after the sick stuff you did last night.”
“Huh?”
“Nothing, just follow your big brother.”
“Big brother, my head hurts.”
At that moment Ulrich began to hold his head, trembling on his knees. I knew what was going on, at that I called to Meko telling him to get off the platform. However, Ulrich’s head hit the bottom of the platform and began to warp as he continued to grow.
Meko’s POV
I tumbled off the platform that was giving away and landed on my feet below. I fell to the ground holding my ankle, I must have sprained it on the landing. I looked above me to see Ulrich growing once more, how much bigger could he get? I heard a creaking sound and then saw the platform was giving away. I tried to run away but I only got to my feet and was able to watch the metallic debris come down.
“Look Out!!!”
I then felt someone tackle me from behind. We fell to the ground away from the crashing debris. I felt someone protecting me from the pieces that were still falling. If we were there for a few more seconds we would have been crushed. The air was full of cloudy dust from the impact and made it hard to see.
“Thank you Jean.”
“Jean? I think you are getting your J’s confused princess.”
As the air cleared I soon realized that we were under a huge chuck of metal and the one who was on top of me was Josh, who was now holding his arm.
“Y-you saved me?”
“Yeah, and it’s a big surprise to you.”
“B-but after what happened-”
He sighed heavily and then looked at me, I flinched.
“Look, I know what I did to you was wrong but I’m not a complete jerk to let you get crushed to death.”
I just stared at him.
“Yeah, pretty strange to hear that from your rapist, to tell you the truth princess that day I was kinda out of it.”
“You were drunk?”
“No, I was…. I was..”
I continued to look at him as he looked away.
“I just wasn’t myself,”
“What do you mean?”
“I just hated how he could became so sure of himself in such a short amount of time, he was so damn cocky and was showing me up at every chance he got.”
“You did what you did because he was confident of himself?”
“I just wanted to put him in his place and even the playing field and after all of this, you let me out of the car and fixed my arm, I guess I overreacted a little, well a lot.”
He then looked at me with eyes that didn’t belong to him.
“What I am trying to say is, I’m…..I’m sorr-”
However, Josh was interrupted by the sound and sight of the metal over us being lifted into the air by a huge hand. We looked up to see Ulrich who was bigger than ever, even though he was still on his knees he must have been 240 ft if he was standing up. He looked at me with a smile.
Jean’s POV
“There you are dolly.” I heard my brother said.
He must have found Meko, I looked at their direction and realized Josh was there too, not good. The child-like smile on my brother’s face disappeared at the sight of him, I could see his eyes slowly darken back to that evil crimson red he had before on his rampage.
“Well, if it isn’t the runty jock, where have you been hiding?”
He then swatted Meko towards the back wall and reached for him, by how roughly he just treated Meko I could tell this wasn’t going to end well. I saw the RLG bracing against the wall across the room. I made a mad dash for it, hoping it would even the field but at that moment Ulrich whipped his hand out and knocked it away to the back wall and from me. He then waved his finger at me like I was a child. He brought his attention back to Josh who was making a feeble run for it. However, Ulrich caught him before he made any real distance.
“Gee Josh you look a bit uneven, I think I’ll snap your other arm to even you out.”
And with that he held Josh’s good arm, Josh was looking terrified and I was helpless to help him. I could only pray for something to stop him. At that moment I heard the RLG fire. Ulrich dropped Josh who tumbled to the ground and ran towards me.
“Thanks for saving me.”
“I didn’t save you Josh, I’m unarmed.”
We looked at each other then to the direction Ulrich was looking at. Meko was holding the RLG that was just fired. He then dropped it to the ground and began to hold his hands. They were probably burnt by the electric discharge of the gun. I returned my eyes to Ulrich. He looked at Meko stunned.
“You hurt me,” he said shocked.
“I’m sorry, but I had to, you were going to hurt someone.”
I could tell he wasn’t listening to Meko at all. Ulrich looked at Meko with angry eyes.
“So you would hurt me, so you could save him, Well I guess you want to take his place, princess!”
At that moment Ulrich snatched Meko off the ground and held him close to his face. Meko attempted to plead with him but he was fighting a losing battle.
“Since you are taking Josh’s place, I should start with your legs and work up.”
At that moment he began to squeeze Meko’s legs in his fist and was smiling the entire time. I saw Meko crying in pain, tears poured out of his eyes, his mouth was filled with saliva from the intense pain. I was speechless, how could he do this to him, of all people. Josh ran in front of Ulrich, waving his arms to get his attention. It must have worked because he stopped Meko’s torment and looked down.
“Why are you doing this to him, take me instead, I‘m the one you are pissed at!!”
Ulrich just smiled and stated how he would get to him soon enough, then returned to squeezing the life out of him. Meko continued to squirm in his grip and with a final popping sound of his legs, Meko collapsed in his hand, not moving. I looked at Meko’s limp body and then at Ulrich’s face, he wasn’t smiling anymore.
“Oh god, what have I done?!”

Jean’s POV
I looked at my brother, his face was upset and his eyes were full of tears.
“Oh god, what have I done?” I heard him say.
He slowly opened his fist and let Meko’s motionless body slump down onto his palm. I continued to see my brother with his mouth slightly open and his eyes diluted back to a brown red mix. He took his finger on his free hand and began to gently nudge Meko in his palm.
“Meko, please, wake up.” he pleaded.
However, Meko’s body returned to its rag doll position. As he continued this I made my way to Josh who was as dumbfounded as I was. I tapped his shoulder to get his attention quietly.
“ I can’t believe he did that.” he whispered.
“Me neither.”
“So, what should we do now?”
“We need to figure out if Meko was alive or dead.”
“But how? Its not like we could just ask him to put him down, especially without anyway to make him do it.”
I was about to respond but before I knew it Ulrich was looming over us with watery red brown eyes. Josh and I back away a little, trying to get some distance between us and getting an idea of how big he was now, if he stood up, his hair would be brushing the ceiling. He had his hand gently wrapped around Meko, hiding him completely in his fist.
“Brother… Meko…. He won’t wake up, please, help him.”
At that moment he brought down his titanic hand in front of us, we back up and he slowly opened his hand revealing Meko. His body was twisted at a weird angle, his legs were also a little warped due to Ulrich’s onslaught. I slowly approached his body to better examine him. His eyes were slightly opened but were glazed over and filled with tears. His mouth was open and slightly drooling, probably due to him screaming. I crawled slowly onto my brother’s hand. I looked back to see Josh looking back at me and at Ulrich. I reached out to feel if Meko had some form of life in him. At the moment I touched him, his body twitched slightly. I held him up in my hands only to have him droop his head forward in my arms. I waved my hand in front of his face, he must have been comatose due to his pupils slight reaction to the change in light. I looked up at my brother who was on the verge of even more tears. I didn’t know how to tell him that Meko went into coma inducing shock. He looked so pitiful at this moment, you couldn’t believe that he was the one to do this. I slowly stood up with Meko in my arms bridal style. I swallowed hard, preparing to tell him what happened to him.
“Ulrich, Meko is alive but I need to take him to the hospital wing.”
I waited for my brother’s response. He simply looked down at me sadly and slightly nodded while weeping softly. His tears fell down upon us like giant raindrops. I slowly got off his hand and Josh soon approached us.
“What about Ulrich?”
“We can’t do anything, he’s too big for us to contain, all we can do is hope he doesn’t hurt anyone else.”
“I won’t.”
We turned around to see Ulrich looking down at us. He place his hands palm down on the ground on each side of us and crouched over. His long hair draped over his shoulders and face slightly.
“I promise, I won’t hurt anyone, I’ll stay here without causing anything trouble, I do anything just….just don’t abandon me like the monster I am. Please.” he cried softly.
“Ulrich….”
“You’re no monster.”
I turned to hear Josh say this. We both looked at him in astonishment.
“If I haven’t messed with you and prince- I mean Meko, none of this wouldn’t have happened, at least not like this. I’m the real monster here, not you.”
I was surprised, Josh was actually being sensible and showing remorse for what he had done, without me persuading him. Ulrich on the other hand, he wasn’t going berserk but he was in tears.
“I’m sorry I broke your arm.” he cried.
“Don’t bother, I deserve this.” he looked back at Meko.
“And much more.”
I didn’t want to ruin this moment but I had to get Meko to the medical wing right away, so I left them alone, knowing that it was on pleasant yet sad terms.

*One Week Later*
Meko’s POV
I felt the warm rays of the sun as I woke up. Everything was blurry but I heard muffled voices calling to me.
“Meko…..Meko….”
My vision slowly came to me, I saw Jean standing over me with a soft smile on his face.
“Glad to have you back.”
“Where am I?”
“You’re in the hospital wing, you were in a coma for a week.”
“C-coma?”
“Ease yourself, Meko, you just woke up.”
I looked around to see flowers on the stand next to me on a table. There was also a large window that lead to a balcony. I looked toward the corner to see Josh sitting in a chair, reading a book.
“Josh, you’re here too?”
He looked up at me from his book and said,
“Yeah, I just wanted to check on you since the school is closed down for repairs.”
“Repairs to what?”
“Well, the roof of the medical wing needs to be repaired and don’t get me started on the theater building.”
“Oh, well, what are you reading then?”
Josh then shifted his eyes back and forth while closing the book.
“I’m….I’m just reading the chemistry textbook.”
I stared blankly, he was actually reading a textbook?
“Anyway, where’s Ulrich?”
“Oh, he’s around here somewhere.” stated Josh.
Then out of nowhere I felt a couple of step like tremors. Everything started to bounce and shake in the room. I looked around to see Josh and Jean bouncing as well but they didn’t seem very worried about it.
“Here comes Ulrich.”
I tried to get up from the bed, but I stumbled only to be caught by Jean.
“Hey easy Meko, you’re legs are still aren’t fully healed.”
He then helped me to a wheelchair. He began to wheel me towards the balcony and while that happened the light was blocked. When we got out on the balcony, I looked up in awe. Jean then said into my ear.
“By the way Meko, he grew a little bit while you were out.”
I saw Ulrich, but even bigger than he was before. His hair was down to his back, his body and face was a bit more mature compare to his original body, his pants went from above the knee to short shorts. He then bended over to bring his face down to the balcony, he was smiling gently and his eyes were a gentle red brown.
“I’m glad you finally woke up Meko.”
I then whispered to Jean.
“Um Jean, how tall is this building?”
“Oh, about 250 feet.”
“And how tall is Ulrich?”
“Oh about 275 feet the last time we measure him.”
I can’t believe he was still growing, even after all this. I turned my attention back to Ulrich.
“Are your legs feeling better?”
“Yes, Ulrich, thank you for asking.”
“I’m glad.” he said slightly sadden.
Ulrich’s POV
I looked down at my brother and Meko, I was glad that Meko was awake. I can’t believe that I was still getting bigger, will I ever stop or will the world around me continue to shrink? My thoughts were interrupted by Jean.
“Ulrich, its time to try the treatment again and we will increase the power ok?”
I nodded and stood up straight, and said to Meko,
“Good bye Meko, I got to go now.”
And with at I walked away from the hospital wing and headed toward the experimental wing.

Meko’s POV
As I watched Ulrich walked away, Jean wheeled me back into the room.
“What kind of treatment are you using on Ulrich?” I asked.
“Well we have been experimenting with different methods.”
“Experimenting? You’re experimenting on Ulrich?!?”
Jean scratched the back of his head,
“The thing is that we never had to treat a human or anything that was under Crimson Apple influence this severe.”
“So what you’re telling me that there is no sure way to turn Ulrich back to normal?”
“I’m afraid not, we need to continue trying different theories.”
I looked down, thinking about what would happen to Ulrich if all their ideas fail.
“Jean I want to be with Ulrich, can I?”
He looked at me with questioning eyes.
“Alright but you have to stay in the wheelchair and take it easy.”
I agreed.
“Um, can I have some clothes that don‘t have a hole in the back?”
“Well, I could see if any of the nurses have anything in your size.” I heard Josh say.
“Nurses?!” I cried.
“Well I doubt that you could even wear any of the clothes of the scientists, you’re too small and its more likely the nurses will have something for you.” he said with a smile.
And with that he ran off.
Jean’s POV
After Meko changed into the nurse’s uniform we made our trip to the experimental wing. I wheeled Meko along the skyway, as we moved I looked down to see Ulrich on his back in a drug induced slumber with various wires and tubes on him.
“So this is want you have been doing for the past week?”
“Yes, we made sure he was asleep to avoid having an incident like that at the school.”
“I want to go down there, Jean.”
“Meko, I’m sorry but you are safer up here.”
He looked down sadly as if he felt guilty for Ulrich’s current condition.
“What’s on your mind, Meko?”
“Its my fault, if he hadn‘t been around me he wouldn‘t have been provoked and he wouldn‘t have grown so much.”
At that moment Meko began to weep slightly.
“Oh come on, it wasn’t your fault, stop crying.”
I tried to ease his crying when all of the sudden I felt the ground rumble. I looked over the railing to see Ulrich stirring in his slumber, he slowly began to raise his body causing all the wires to stretch and tear from their input slots. The staff below began to panic and the red blinking alarm wasn’t helping. We could see his knees rising above us as he bend his legs. It was almost unbelievable how his knee alone was taller than the walkway that we were standing on. His torso slowly rose above us, engulfing us in his immense shadow. We saw Ulrich looking down at us with slightly droopy eyes.
“Ulrich?” I heard Meko whispered.
“Meko… Its… not your ….fault.” he said sleepily.
I looked at my brother and had my attention taken away by the staff below us.
“Sorry sir, I guess we have to use a stronger tranquilizer on it next time.” I heard one of them say.
I guess Ulrich must have heard them also, because after that he shot them a glare which made them back away shivering. I had to break the tension to make sure that Ulrich wouldn’t scare them off. So I decided to send them off, stating that today’s treatment was done. Once they were gone, Ulrich turned his attention back to us. Meko looked up at Ulrich with his blue eyes and a slight blush on his face. Ulrich, on the other hand, was swaying slightly with softened eyes which was probably caused by the tranquilizer.
“Ulrich, can you try not to scare the ones helping to cure you?”
“Well how about they stop talking about me as if I was an animal.” he said as he started to yank the wires and analyzing pads off his body.
I shook my head, I soon realize that Meko was getting out of the wheelchair. I told him to take it easy, but I guess he want a better view of Ulrich. I walked over to him to give him support. And at that moment Josh ran up to us.
“Hey big guy, how’s the treatment?”
“A failure like the rest of them.” Ulrich stated coldly.
“Well if it makes you feel any better I have an idea.”
We all looked at him in amazement.
“You actually have an idea?!” Ulrich laughed which in turn caused the entire experimental wing to shake.
“Well let’s see what Jean’s got to say, huh?”
He then handed me a couple of papers that were stapled together. I skimmed through them at first for a gag but I did it again with a more thorough eye. I couldn’t believe my eyes, his theory was actually plausible! It was really brilliant to tell the truth. I looked up at my brother and stated,
“We’re going through with his plan tomorrow, bright and early.”
Before my brother could respond I took Josh by the arm and dragged him back to my office for him to explain his thought process more in detail.

*Later that night*
Meko's POV
I watched Jean drag Josh behind him as he left the testing area. I wonder what Josh's plan was, Ulrich on the other hand didn't seem too curious. I looked around to see that there was no one in the lab except for Ulrich and myself. I then looked up to see Ulrich staring at me; his reddish brown eyes weren't like his old dark brown eyes. His eyes used to be cloudy and unsure, but now, they were so clear, bright and focused. I felt my face heat up to the point that I just couldn't look at him anymore. Just staring at him was enough to set my body ablaze yet set a chill also.
"Meko, are you alright?" Ulrich asked.
"Ah, yes, I'm…I'm just a little thirsty, that's all." I responded sharply.
"Oh." He said plainly.
He then looked around the platform until he stopped as if he found something. He returned his glance to me. He raised his hand and pointed to the door to my far left.
"There's a fridge in that room, there should be at least some water for you to drink."
I thanked him and turned to the direction of the door. I looked down at my legs; I felt a little nervous walking such a distance since I haven't been walking for a week. I slowly began to walk toward the door with shaky legs. I heard Ulrich sigh and felt his long, slender fingers lifted me into the air. It felt unsettling because everything associated with Ulrich picking me up in the past has been bad. My heart fluttered until Ulrich put me down in front of the door. I turned around and looked up at him.
"T-Thanks for the help, Ulrich, I really appreciate it." I stammered out.
"Meko, you've been acting weird around me ever since you woke up, are you scared or angry because of me?" He asked sincerely.
I shook my head in a vigorous manner; I didn't want Ulrich to feel bad because I wasn't feeling right.
"No no no, I'm just really thirsty, that's all." I said with a nervous laugh.
I opened the door to find a counter with cabinets above it with a fridge next to it. I made my way to the cabinets to see if there were any glasses. After getting a glass ready I opened the fridge to see many different types of drinks. One looked like orange juice, another smelled like apple juice; there was one that looked like a soda and one resembling prune juice. I looked for a while and finally decided to drink the fruit punch. I poured until it almost reached the rim of the glass; I then began to sip it slowly. It was chilled yet warm; it must have just been put in the fridge. It really calmed my nerves, so I decided to have some more and before I knew it I finished the entire jug. I felt bad that my nervous drinking caused me to finish the entire thing; I hope Jean would accept my offer to pay for it. I walked out the room and was greeted by Ulrich's friendly smile.
"Feeling better, Meko?" He asked.
"Yes, much better, thank you!" I replied.
I can't believe how excited I sound; it was as if I haven't seen him in forever. It reminded me of the time when he disappeared for two weeks. I never felt so lonely before but when he returned I felt the same type of sensation. I was brought back to Earth by Ulrich's voice. I looked up to see Ulrich yawning.
"God, it's so boring here, it's like being trapped in a box." He said scratching the back of his head.
"But I have an idea on what we going to do." He continued.
I had no idea on what he was planning but the way he glanced at me made me uneasy. He had the same mischievous look in his eyes when he rampaged through the school grounds. I began to back away but before I knew it I was clamped in Ulrich's giant grip. I struggled to break free from Ulrich's fist but I was powerless against him.
"Ulrich, put me down, what…what are you doing?!" I asked frantically.
"Sorry Meko but I can't do that because I don't want to." Ulrich smirked.
That smile immediately told me something was wrong, I then began to vigorously struggle against Ulrich but all it resulted was Ulrich laughing under his breath.
"Relax, this is going to be fun, I promise." He uttered.
Fun?! He wasn't planning on doing what he did at the school, was he? Before I could properly think about the situation Ulrich's massive body began to shift, causing the entire lab to tremble. He flipped over onto his knees and hand, his back broke many of the lights on the ceiling but Ulrich wasn't bothered by the sparks or glass, probably because he was too big to feel them. He began to crawl toward the hanger doors. He began to squeeze his way through the entrance and eventually ended up outside. I felt my head being bombarded by the air as Ulrich rose to his full height. I had to do something so I took a deep breath preparing to yell for help. Ulrich must not have wanted me to do that since at that moment he jammed the tip of his gigantic thumb in my mouth. He then brought me to his face, hushing me from making any real noise. He began to walk towards the edge of the facility till he reached the 15 foot steel chain link fence which was tiny compared to Ulrich. He easily stepped over it and continued on his way through the dense forest. Where was he planning on going, unfortunately I found out. He was heading to the city; I was absolutely terrified of the carnage that Ulrich was planning on unleashing but with his thumb in my mouth I was unable to speak. He only took it out only to cover my face. Now I couldn't see or talk, all I knew was he was still walking. After awhile he finally stopped, he then removed his thumb, when he did I was completely surprised, it was the city but we were a safe distance away. Ulrich settled down on a huge cliff, he slowly eased his fist into a palm, giving me my freedom. I looked toward the city; it was so beautiful with all its lights in the city itself and on the boardwalk. I turned slowly around to see Ulrich looking gently at me.
"So this is what you wanted to show me?" I asked as I looked away blushing.
"Yeah, but sorry about leaving you out on the plan, if I did tell you, you probably wouldn't believe me."
I felt embarrassed that I didn't trust him, I thought he was going to destroy the city not show me the beautiful lights. Ulrich lifted me up to the level of his chest, he then pointed to the boardwalk, telling me that he hoped that he would be able to take me there when he returns to normal size. If I didn't know any better I swear he was asking me out on a date. We continued looking at the lights, after which we gazed at the stars.
Ulrich's POV
I sighed as I heard my brother and some military vehicles heading our way, I can't believe it took two hours for them to realize I was missing. I looked down to see my brother yelling at the top of his lungs out of anger which really didn't affect me at all. I drew my attention to Meko, who fell asleep in my hand; I felt a faint smile come across my face. After hearing my brother's lecture, I reluctantly return to the lab with a bunch of toy army vehicles herding me back.

Meko’s POV
I woke up feeling groggy from last night, it must have been the juice I drunk last night. Turns out that I was in my hospital bed instead of the testing wing where Ulrich was. I started thinking about how he showed me the city at night, it looked so pretty. I decided it would be best to see how he is. I looked around to see if there was any more clothing lying around, luckily there were some clothes in the chair, and they were actual men’s clothing. I could cry for joy but I decided to hold it in and tried on the clothes. I looked in the mirror only to realize that the pants and the shirt were way too big, even after I adjusted the suspenders and the cuffs. I sighed remembering that I didn’t exactly have a boy like figure. A nurse passed by and I called to her for some help.
“Um, Miss, can you help me, please?”
She simply giggled and entered the room. She walked passed me and opened a drawer that had scissors and some thread.
“Now just hold still, I’ll fix this in a jiffy but why would a cute little girl like you would want to wear men’s clothes?”
I stood there smiling silently, I wanted to tell her that I was a boy but it would take too much effort to convince her. (Sigh) The world I live in.
*30 minutes later*
I entered the testing wing to see a lot of scientists running around, talking all at the same time. Some were carrying containers and big wires while others were looking over papers. I managed to ask one of them were what Jean and found out that he was in the observatory room which was located on the left end of the catwalk. I climbed the stairs and entered the door which he told me was Jean. I saw Jean looking over some papers while Josh was fiddling with some wires; Josh looked up from his wires to look at me.
“Morning sleeping beauty, did you forget what today is?” He asked.
I had no clue, so I asked. Josh just shook his head and sighed.
“Today is when we finally return pipsqueak back to normal, well as normal as he can get.”
I can’t believe I forgot that Ulrich was going to be cured today, now that I think about it that was probably why Ulrich took me out last night, maybe he knew this might be dangerous and risky. I wanted to see him to show him I’m here for support.
“Sorry Meko, but we sedated him an hour ago, see?” Jean stated as he pointed out of the window.
I looked out to see Ulrich with his eyes closed breathing rhythmically as some of the scientists attached some analyzing pads. I heard a strange noise coming from outside, the noise was coming from jeeps and armed vehicles that were entering the wing. They had some sort of emblem on them, so they might be with the army. But why would they come here? Did the school and city figure out what did all the damages and sent the military after Ulrich? I turned to Jean who didn’t seem so worried.
“Right on time,” Jean stated with a smile.
“Jean, why is the military here?” I asked puzzled.
“Well, it’s in case Ulrich gets out of hand during treatment,” he said with a nervous chuckle.
Before I could answer, four armed soldiers entered the room; they scoped the area and stood in attention on both sides on the door while I hid behind Jean. A few seconds later a young man combed back black hair and clear green eyes dressed in a white hat and uniform that was decorated with many badges and ribbons of different colors. I wonder what they all mean.
“How have you been Private or should I say General now, Alexander,” Jean teased.
“General, but you can still call me Alex, long time no see Jean,” He answered playfully.
“Uh, Jean, who is this,” I asked him as I tugged on his sleeve.
“Oh, this is Alexander Braveheart, the youngest general you will probably ever meet, and the fact that he’s a long time friend doesn’t hurt much either.”
“R-Really, um, Mr. Braveheart, what branch are you from?” I asked nervously.
I never talked to anyone in the armed forces before. I expected him to be very serious but he seemed very friendly.
“Please, just call me Alex, and actually, I’m not from any of the normal branches, I’m the General for the special forces that handles anything unusual, like a so called 300 foot teenager.” He said with some disbelief in his voice.
“If you don’t believe me then look out the window,” stated Jean with a raised eyebrow.
Alex walked over to the window where we could see Ulrich sleeping. His eyes and mouth opened wide as he saw Ulrich, he stepped back in disbelief, and I guess seeing a giant schoolboy is a bit shocking. He turned to Jean with a slightly cool face. He ran his hand through his hair after taking off his hat.
“Is that really that little bookworm of a brother, little Ulrich, he got…he got,”
“Big?”
“Very big and well he doesn’t exactly look like a bookworm anymore, did he join a sport or something?”
“Nope, all of this was done by the Crimson Apple substance, it enhanced his physical qualities but it’s also messing with his brain, causing him to develop multiple personality disorder, luckily, he caused only minimal damages.”
Jean’s POV
“Wow, I was wondering how your brother was doing before you called me, but I would never have guess that he would be the reason for my visit.” Alex stated teasingly.
Alex has always been a joker but how he became a general is beyond even my understanding. He walked back over to me and Meko; he gave Meko a wily yet sweet smile.
“I don’t know what’s more unbelievable, the fact that your little brother is a giant or that he actually has a girlfriend, a cute one by the way.” He said with a wink of his eye.
“First of all, flirting with an underage student is a crime and second this so called cute girlfriend is a boy.” I told him nonchalantly.
“You’re messing with me aren’t you, Jean?”
I shook my head without saying a thing. He then looked at Meko who gave him a shy smile that meant I was telling the truth. The look on the flirtatious Alex was priceless; I guess the idea of flirting with a young boy was too much for him to process.

Jean’s POV
After a few moments of watching Alex swallow his tongue, I heard a bell go off.
“Jean they’re ready to begin his treatment,” said Josh.
“Alright, let’s begin.”
We all walked over to observation window where Ulrich was. I signaled with my hand to begin. At that moment, the electromagnetic panels appeared on both of Ulrich’s sides. I then I signaled they to raise the temperature to cause Ulrich to sweat in his sleep. I then told them to turn on the magnets.
“What are you guys doing?” Meko asked.
“Well, we are following through on Josh’s plan; we are going to force the crimson apple compound out of his pores. The crimson apple is very similar to liquid metal; it will be drawn out by the magnetic field, hopefully this will revert him back to normal or at least rid him of the personality swings.”
At that moment I went over to the panel and turned up the dial.
Ulrich’s POV
I opened my eyes to discover myself in a playground with a red slide, swings, merry go round, and a sandbox; was I dreaming or something because I thought I was in the testing wing. I walked over to the water fountain for a drink, but I soon realized that the fountain was taller than me! I stepped onto the stool to see my reflection in the water. I was shocked, it was me but when I was five years old, fluffy hair, big eyes, overalls, the works! I climbed down and looked at my feet. My shoe laces were untied, I tried to tie them but they just became unloose again. I sighed as I walked over to sandbox, I noticed something was there. I discovered it was a doll, laying face down in the sand. I picked it up and dust it off, it looked just like Meko in his school uniform, and I felt very warm as I held it close to my chest. My form was engulfed by a shadow. I turned around to discover it was me from that ballroom dream I had, the one with the red eyes, but he wasn’t a kid like I was. He gave me a wicked smile and grabbed the head of the doll and began to pull. I held hard and attempted to pull it back to me. As I pulled I noticed the stitches on the neck were slowly being pulled apart.
“Stop, you’re ripping it, you’re ripping it!” I cried in my child like voice.
The other me just laughed as the stitches pulled further apart, revealing the soft, white stuffing. I cried harder and harder as he only continued laughing. I closed my eyes screaming and when I opened my eyes, he and the doll was gone, I went back to the fountain to discover I was back to normal, before the accident, I never felt so happy. I wiped the tears from my eyes as I remember that poor doll, I hope it was alright.
“Ulrich, why are you crying?”
I turned around to see Meko looking at me worried. I wiped my face, ran up to him and held him tightly to my chest. I told him about what happened and he smiled warmly, telling me that he wouldn’t be going anywhere. It seemed like the perfect moment to relieve me of that nightmare, but before I could get comfortable the ground began shaking, the leaves on the trees began falling, and the slide fell over with a thud. I held onto Meko as tightly as possible as we tried to withstand the earthquake. Suddenly the sky turned pitch black and a thick fog rolled over us, covering the playground, we were surrounded.
“Ulrich, what’s happening?” Meko asked horrified.
“I-I don’t know, Meko but, we’ll be alright, I promise.” I said in attempt to calm him down.
“You shouldn’t make promises you can’t keep, Ulrich, unlike me,
We looked around to locate the booming voice, I suddenly heard familiar laughing. We looked up in horror to discover the other me, only this time he was colossal, engulfing us in his figure. Meko’s fingers clenched onto my shirt tightly and in response I slightly turned my back to myself to shield and hide Meko from him, he simply laughed which shook the earth beneath our feet.
“You little fool, I can see him just fine, there is no use trying to hide him from me.”
“What do you want from me?!” I asked angrily.
At that moment he stomped his boot on the ground causing trees to fall over along with the swing set. Meko and I fell to the ground after the aftershock.
“Don’t forget who’s in charge here, little boy.”
“W-What do you want?” I asked again.
“Simple, I want you to wake up and stop the treatment.”
“What, no way, this could be the only chance for me to turn back to normal.” I answered.
“Please, what was so great about you being normal, you were bullied without end, you were weak, feeble and awkward, you couldn’t even reveal to your little crush that you loved him because you were scared. That was the problem with everything, little Ulrich was too scared, too weak to do anything worthwhile, I made you into what you are now, you think that little ragdoll you call a crush would have known about your true intentions.”
“I may have wanted to have a little respect but I didn’t want to destroy anything or anyone, which was all you!” I yelled out.
(Sigh) “In denial again, everything I’ve done was according to what you wanted. You thought countless times about if the school suddenly disappeared or was destroyed, by your hands. Too many times you’ve dreamed about crushing your enemies with your hands and under your boot. And how many times you thought about having Meko all to yourself, but you were too scared to let him see the true you.”
“No, no you’re lying!”
“Oh really,”
At that moment he reached down, flicked me with his finger and grabbed Meko. I rushed to my feet, grabbed his hand as I pulled with all my might, but it was a waste of effort on my part. He stood up straight with Meko in his fist.
“Put him down, he has nothing to do with this!”
”Please; he has everything to do with this. Without him you would have ended it all a long time ago. If little Meko has a little scratch, you’re sad, if he has a little cold, you cry. You’re whole mood is warped around this toy, anything happens, you flip, just like this,”
At that moment he took his thumb, braced it to the side of Meko’s head and proceeded to apply pressure as if to snap his neck. I watched helplessly as Meko cried out my name softly.
“Stop, put him down, put him down!”
I ran up to him and started beating on his shoe, crying, begging him to spare Meko. He stopped his onslaught.
“How sad,”
I looked up to see me looking down with pity in his eyes. I looked at my hands, my mind drew a blank.
“You poor little boy, still so much like a child, you need me more than you know.” he told me with a bit of sadness in his voice.
Suddenly another earthquake happened, this time shaking the giant me.
“What’s happening?”
“Those fools are trying to kill us, that’s what is happening,”
“Kill us?!”
“Yeah, that’s what I was trying to tell you, but I had to address some major character flaws first. Josh’s method is right but it’s not complete, all this will do is rip off our skin. Not a nice way to die, way too much to clean up. Thanks to you, I have to do the backup plan now.”
“Backup plan?”
Jean’s POV
I had no idea what was happening now, the magnets were at full power but all that was happening was Ulrich screaming in pain. I wanted to stop it but I had to see it through. Suddenly something happened. The magnets began to spark causing Ulrich to produce a reddish smoke. Was it working? Soon the smoke spread throughout the facility, suddenly the machines stopped on their own. I heard them collapsed, I grew worried.
“Ulrich!” Meko cried as he ran out of the room and down to the testing ground.
“Meko, wait!” I yelled as Josh, Alex and myself chased after him.

Meko’s POV
I rushed down the stairs into the smoky abyss, calling Ulrich’s name over and over.
“Meko, come back here, it’s dangerous!” I heard Jean yell in the distance.
I had to find out what happened to Ulrich. The makeshift red fog was extremely thick, and it makes it a little bit hard to breathe. I stopped realizing I was completely lost in this fog; I turned to see a figure sitting on the ground, I ran over to it, I felt extremely happy, my eyes were relieving a waterfall of tears. There he was, Ulrich, he still had his long hair and was naked, but he was normal size again.
“Ulrich!” I called as I ran over to him.
I jumped into his arms and wrapped my arms around his neck for the first time in who knows how long. I held him tightly as if this would be the last time we would see each other. He hesitated at first then wrapped his arms around me. I could help but blush, I was just so happy.
“Ulrich, I’m so happy that you’re back.” I sobbed slightly.
“Me too, Meko, me too” He stated smoothly.
I felt him slide his hand into the back of my pants, I wanted to pull away but he held me close. He began to caress my bottom, fiddling with the soft tissue, I couldn’t help but gasp. He then shifted our position to when he was on top of me; I didn’t understand w- why was he doing this? I tried to push him off,
“Well we can’t let that happen, now can we?” he snickered.
His eyes began to glow a deep red; I couldn’t close my eyes or pull myself away. At that moment my entire body dropped limp, I couldn’t move at the very least. He turns my head so that I could see his face. He smirked at me with those burning eyes.
“What’s wrong, I thought you missed me,” he stated as if this was normal.
He began to lick my cheek, his tongue felt warm and sticky with saliva. He dragged his tongue down to my neck. I felt tears coming down my eyes. This felt scary, scarier than when Josh did what he did to me. This time was different, this time it was Ulrich doing these things and I was awake to see it. He then lowered his head and began to bite off the buttons on my shirt one by one. I couldn’t help but gasp, something was wrong with me. Soon the very last button was popped by his heat breathing mouth. Then…then he t-took his tongue and…and well, began to kiss my stomach. His mouth began to explore my belly button. I felt myself hyperventilating, as his tongue began to trail back up to my chest. He eventually made his way to my left nipple. He began nursing the left nipple while he pinched and twisted the right one. I wanted to call out for help but I didn’t have the strength to. I could hear Jean and the others calling out to me in the distance.
“I wondered why you were such a distraction to him but now I know why.” He smirked with his ruby eyes.
Distraction to him, who was he talking about? Was there someone else? My questions disappeared as soon as he forced his tongue into my mouth. His tongue felt big and swollen in my tiny mouth, it felt as if he was sucking the very life out of me. He then broke the kiss; I looked at him to see him lick his lips slowly and seductively.
“So that’s what the forbidden fruit taste like, now how about I have a taste of the juice?”
Juice, forbidden fruit, what was he talking about? I didn’t have time to figure out what he was talking about, because he began to undo my pants, revealing my underwear.
“Well, isn’t that cute, you still wear briefs.” He snickered.
I couldn’t help but cry, it was happening all over again, except it was Ulrich, h-he was suppose to be my friend, but now he was going to do… things to me, like Josh did but I had a feeling it would be much worse this time around. He noticed my displeasure and instead of turning back to the old Ulrich I knew, he smirked as if the old Ulrich never existed.
“Don’t worry, I’ll go easy on you, or at least try to.” He laughed.
I closed my eyes and let the tears run down my face. It made me even more upset because my tears meant nothing to him. He lowered his head to kiss me once more but I didn’t feel anything, however I heard something being hit.
“What are you doing to Meko?!”
I opened my eyes which were blurry from the crying, as my vision cleared, I saw two figures. One was Ulrich who was rubbing the back of his head as if someone as hit him. And the other figure was…was Ulrich?

Jean’s POV
I was tired of trying to locate Meko in this fog and wearing this gas mask. Suddenly, I remembered the ventilation system, I yelled out to whoever was listening to blast the fan. At that moment all of the fog was sucked into the vents and into the containment unit at the side of the building. Man, I’m glad I made all of these preparations for Ulrich. Soon the room was clear from the smoke. I signaled to Alex and Josh it was ok to take off their masks. Finally now we could look for Meko.
“Uh, Jean,” Josh stammered.
I looked at the direction he was pointing, I couldn’t believe it, it was Meko and Ulrich and….Ulrich?! What the hell is going on, why are there two Ulrichs? We ran over to them to see the situation more clearly, Meko was almost naked except of his underwear and the shirt on his shoulders, he seemed to be crying but from whom? The two Ulrichs stared at each other completely ignoring us. One had red eyes and a smirk on his face while the other had brown eyes and a nervous yet serious look on his face. I immediately knew this was my brother, but who was the other guy?
“Ok boys, why don’t we take this somewhere else?” I suggested.
At that moment Alex’s men surrounded the boys and pointed their guns at them. Brown eyed Ulrich was surprised at the sheer number of the group while red eyed Ulrich chuckled under his breath. How could he laugh like that with all those men pointing loaded guns at him? He held Meko close with one arm, Meko on the other hand seemed terrified of him.
“Heh, sure, I’ll play along for now.” He chuckled as he got onto his feet.
“Hand over Meko first,” stated the brown eyed Ulrich.
“Make me,” red eyed Ulrich stated while sticking out his tongue playfully.
“I’ll take him,”
I turned to see Josh standing tall and firm. He boldly walked to the red eyed Ulrich and stood in front of him. After what seemed like forever, red eyed Ulrich chuckled after stating about how Josh’s throwing arm healed faster than expected, he tossed Meko, who stumbled on his feet, into Josh’s arms. After securing Meko, Alex’s men escorted the twin Ulrichs out of the experimental wing.
*15 minutes later*
Alex and I were sitting in the lounge waiting on the boys. After a while Meko and Josh entered, Meko now had proper clothing. Meko seated himself next to me while Josh sat in the single chair next to the couch we were on.
“Meko, are you alright?” I asked.
He nodded his head slightly, he looked more confused than upset but he was still a little upset. A nurse wheeled in a tea cart from the kitchen, Alex thought it would do everyone some good. Meko got up and began to pour a little hot water into his cup with his shaky hands. Alex was kind enough to take the teacup from him and fulfilled his wish. Alex seemed a little surprised by what Meko wanted, his cup was filled with mostly cream, milk, cocoa, sugar, and whipped cream; can he actually drink that? Meko thanked Alex and made his way back to his seat with his “tea”. I was amazed that he was able to drink something that is purely 99.9% sugar. Josh sighed as he slouched in the chair.
“What’s wrong, Josh?” I asked him.
“Ulrich, the one with the red eyes, he wasn’t like Ulrich at all.”
“I know, and that’s what we are going to find out.”
At that moment, the Ulrichs were escorted into the room with heavy guard. They were dressed in the same clothing, but the one with the red eyes had his hair down and his shirt halfway unbuttoned. Alex stated to his men that they could wait outside, they followed his orders and left. The room was quiet until the brown eyed Ulrich seated himself in the loveseat across from us while the red eyed Ulrich looked out of the window.
“Well, does anyone have anything to say or at least know what’s going on?” Josh asked.
Red eyed Ulrich laughed under his breath.
“Well, since you know so much, why don’t you explain then?”
He looked at me with unblinking eyes; he then closed his eyes and shook his head.
“I think I know what is going on here.” I stated.
“The crimson apple compound must have been irritated by the electromagnetic, and by time we had an effective method to cure him, the compound must have fused with his cells. Somehow the crimson apple actually copied Ulrich’s genetic code and created a completely independent entity, but how it could do this and why?” I explained.
“Simple, you were going to tear us apart, so to save both of us, I made a body for myself, so that we wouldn’t die. Personally, I preferred to be as one being, I hate being separated from the rest of me.” Stated the red eyed Ulrich.
“What do you mean, separated from you, do you mean Ulrich?” I asked.
“Well, yes and no, during your so called cure attempt I only had enough time to make a separate body and copy all of his information, so I didn’t get a chance to collect all of my cells.”
“Cells, information, what are you talking about?!” Josh exclaimed.
“Well Joshua, by information, I mean his memories, childhood, dislikes, likes, mannerisms and everything else useful, just in case the other me didn’t make it, so I wouldn’t have to deal with mourning family and friends. As for my cells I left about half of them in him, since you humans can’t really survive with just half your DNA. I still need to work on his mannerisms though, it doesn’t seem like little Meko like my greeting,” he giggled.
Meko on the other hand huddled into my arm. Brown eyed Ulrich got up from his chair and turned to his counterpart.
“Attempted rape is not a greeting.” He yelled.
“Oh really, so what are you going to do about it?” he stated with a smile.
At that moment, things got really tense, Alex signaled for his men to come back in. However, the Ulrichs didn’t pay any attention to them. Suddenly one of the soldiers placed his hand on brown eyed Ulrich's shoulder in attempt to calm him down. Immediately, Ulrich, in a fit of blind rage, grabbed his hand and tossed him across the room with just one hand! We looked on astonished, that soldier must have been near 200 pounds and Ulrich was able to toss him like a ragdoll across a huge room like this. At that moment the remaining soldiers pointed their guns at brown eyed Ulrich, who was looking at his hand, was dumbfound at his new strength, the other Ulrich was just smiling.
“What’s happening to me now?” he asked.
