Flai did not like this situation at all. Even Van, who had acted quite friendly towards them, made her feel uneasy. But this new giant was more than hostile and even threatened to harm them.
She stood up and looked at the two giants who both were standing now. Although she was quite sure that Van would protect them, it would not be very safe to be around two fighting giants.
Her eyes widened when she saw Tech approaching the new arrived giant and kicking him in the shoe. This sure was not a wise move especially because they would not be able to use their weapons before the tutorial ended. And if Flai compared her long bow to the guns that some of them held, she was not sure if her weapon would be any use... But she had not time to think of this now. She had to say something, too if she would not be able to fight: "Uhm... yes! Crystal is right! We are not the humans who scrapped you. We have nothing to do with it!" she tried to sound brave, but she made a few frightful steps back, which showed her fear clearly. "And why w-would we do that anyway? We don't even know you !", she added much more stammering now.

Chaud definitely didn't like the anger in StroBe's eyes as he pointed down at them. Virtual or not, the air seemed to get really tense. And whatever was up with the background music was downright creepy. The others seemed unnerved, as well ... in their own way.
When Tech stormed right up to the guy to start kicking him futilely, Chaud raised his eyebrows. One little twitch of a kick would send her flying. "Hey," he called to her, following her approach. "Don't be hasty, here," he added. His heart pounding to get him to turn around, he went up to her and reached out to put a hand on her shoulder. "We should get back away from this guy," he added at a quieter volume, his voice shaking slightly. He consciously avoided looking up; from so close the giant could only look bigger. ~~~~~ Van narrowed his eyes. "They are right. None of these humans had anything to do with your fate. In fact, I'd say it was your own fault ..." He was distracted when the rather wildcard player started yelling. He watched with concern as she walked right up to StroBe ... and flinched when another followed her; they were too close. And he couldn't just stop them, they didn't trust him enough yet.
"... Players, please let me handle this. You are not prepared for a fight, especially not with this over-bugged scrap." He said calmly down to Tech and Chaud. It was up to chance whether Tech would listen, but he trusted that Chaud would. He returned his focus to StroBe, but didn't take his attention from the players at any point.

"Overbugged?" StroBe laughed, "you have no idea just how dangerous I have become!" His cantarella smile widened. The dark organ music went silent, only the wind howled around the group. StroBe began to use his namesake, the light around him shifting so that he seemed to vanish. He was sure the two players in front of him could feel that he stepped over them. He pulled his whip from his belt and gave it a crack.
When he reappeared, the whip had wrapped itself around Van's neck. StroBe pulled the other NPC close.
"If you keep insulting me," he breathed into Van's ear as the other NPC struggled with the whip around his neck, "then the beloved players will not have you to protect them." He pulled the whip tighter to hear Van choke for a little bit before releasing the NPC. He turned to look at Tech from over his shoulder with his inverted eye.
"You have a fire," he mused, "But just like dear VanTage, you might get people killed with that. And if you think this is still just a game, you are wrong. The rules have changed. I can sense it." The smile was gone, the background noise painfully silent other than Van's gasping.
"Lighten up," StroBe smirked, "What good would it do me to kill you? I want to feel my creator's squirm. So...I might just do the job that was intended for me until I bore of it. Van dear, you might want to start tutorials before I attack your pansey ass again." With a yawn, StroBe moved off to the side to watch.

Crystal let out a large sigh as she saw Tech's hostile attitude reappear for the second time. 'Man she's so hot headed...^^; ' She thought as she rubbed the back of her neck. She walked over to Tech and pulled on her hand.
"Tech-oneechan," she said, addressing the older girl in a polite manner, "I think it's better if you stand down, we don't want you getting hurt..." She paused for a moment before glaring up at StroBe, who had Van's neck locked in place with a whip. "You don't know what the brute could do to us...." She finished with a nod of her head. She watched as StroBe released his grip on Van and walked over to the sidelines.
"Lighten up," StroBe said with a smirk to Van, "What good would it do me to kill you? I want to feel my creator's squirm. So...I might just do the job that was intended for me until I bore of it. Van dear, you might want to start tutorials before I attack your pansy ass again."
Crystal's breath caught in her throat as she gulped down a few angry yells that were about to come up. She shook her head, forcing herself not to say another word to the giant, and walked over to Van cautiously. "As much as I don't want to admit it, the brute's right," she sighed as she placed her hands on her hips. "If we want to get through this place, we should start with the tutorials, that way we can protect ourselves against the odds of this 'game'..."
'Cause now that we're in...Oh boy, I have a feeling this is gonna be one loooooooong journey...' She thought to herself, sighing softly.

Tech shot a nasty glare to Chaud and Crystal but relutantly followed their advise. She pulled her gloved and away from the smaller girl and stared StroBe down, reflecting on his words.
'And if you think this is still just a game, you are wrong. The rules have changed.'
She didn't like this, not at all. He knew about whatever was bugging the system and if it was the last thing she did,Tech would try to figure it out. but for now,she was as useless as a pit viper without any fangs. tech pulled her camo hoodie over her head so the only thing anyone could see of her face was her glowing vermillion eyes. Tech didn't sign up for this; to be shrunken down with a psychoic giant and a bunch of kids who clearly where scared out of there minds. And the fact that she didn't like large groups wasn't helping her either.
"Alright,Van,Let's get this this show on the road. The sooner we get the tutorial the sooner I can kick butt and leave."

Van gave a surprised choking noise when StroBe got the better of him. He clawed at the whip for a few seconds before stopping to listen to the other NPC. He narrowed his eyes, a brief string of code flashing across them. He was fairly confident that he couldn't be killed easily just on account of his programming. But then again, he'd been confident that StroBe was scrapped for good.
When he was released, he stumbled slightly, but straightened quickly. He glared at StroBe without making a move to attack back. He didn't want to get in a huge fight before the players knew about defending themselves. "Fine," he spat. "I'll tolerate your presence for now." Then, turning back to the players, his expression relaxed. "Okay. The tutorial is pretty easy. Afterwards you'll be able to use your weapons and items freely. Is everyone ready?"

Flai looked nervously back and forth between the two giants who had just been fighting. If this StroBe could attack Van so easily, she was not sure if their weapons would be of any use. But if she could defend herself in the slightest way, it would be an improvement, right? I- I think I'm ready..", she stammered and looked at the other players to see how they would react. "Maybe it is not as bad now that we are all together here... we could help each other, right?", she stated very insecure and clutched on her long bow. Normally she was not a group player, but considering the circumstances she would have to make an exception.

Sorry bout the absence guys! I was in Arkansas for a while, and there isn't reception in the mountains ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Raven let out a grunt of approval and slid her twin Katanas out of their sheathes that were strapped to her back. She had remained silent through this ordeal, mainliy due to shock. Shock from Tech's boldness towards this hostile new giant, and the new giant's cold statement about the game changing had her mind in a frenzy. That plus the fact he mentioned killing her and the other players...well she had a feeling that the end result wouldn't be waking up back in the lab. Keeping on her mask of boredom, Raven muttered a shaky "Let's do this."

"Yeah, I'm ready too," Crystal agreed with both Raven and Flai, putting her hand on the hilt of her sword and unsheathing it from its protective case. The ruby red gem mounded on the tip of the golden yellow hilt glistened in the sunlight as she held it out before her. She then used her other hand to grab the silver, metal shield on her back, holding it so it covered her forearm.
"Cause I have absolutely NO clue how to use this..." Crystal stared at the sword for a bit before her eyes changed into a confused look as she wiggled the heavy piece of metal around like a stick on fire.

((Guys, I just wanted to let you know that this isn't dead to me. When my computer died, it took my notes for this with it; I have some of that safe on a disc but until I get a new computer of my own to put the data on it's kinda stuck. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience.))
