(This rp is for Emily and I ^^ Okay people?)
Let's face it, being the middle child in a family is pretty terrible. Young 12 and a half year ole Kenneth has to deal with a Braty younger sister who thinks she's better then everyone else, and a obnoxious teenage brother who treats Kenneth like dirt.. He can't seem to gain either of their respect.
And Kenneth didn't think he was a terrible boy, he was always the most well Behaved in his family, yet none of his parents pay any attention to him, their too focused with controlling a younger sister, and his older brother doesn't want anything to do with him.
Point being, Kenneth was a outcast in his family, and all he really wanted was a friend in his otherwise crappy life.

For little 11 year-old Iris, being the middle child would've been a greater fate than the one she was dealt. She was the baby of her family, AND the only girl. Her eldest brother would always be watching over her like a hawk, the middle brothers (twins) were always picking on her, and her parents were always showering her with love and affection. Fairies were supposed to be free spirited creatures, but she always felt so trapped!
Because of her family, she hardly had any friends. The twins' constant pestering made sure of that. She desperately longed to go out on her own, far away from all the attention and make some friends.
Not even some, just one would do.

If there's one thing Kenneth always wanted to do, It was to go out, and live the world away from his family. Sadly, something like this wouldn't happen for a long time until he hits maturity. All of his free time was sucked up when he had to take care of his younger sister, and he always had to bring her everywhere he went. When he wasn't with her, he always had to be with his older brother for 'Protection'.
Yet, today was a little different for some reason, it was in the early hours of the mourning, and he was walking in his backyard in his pajamas, gazing at the lovely little garden his Mother and Father tend with every day. It was lovely to him, and he loved nature more then anything else honestly.

Iris had taken flight as soon as the sun's first rays had peeked through her window. She had no clue where she was going; just as far as her little purple wings would take her before she tired out. She hadn't made any specific plans, but as soon as her head had hit her pillow the night before, she knew that she had to get away from her family; if she didn't, she feared she would drown under their attention.
She really should have planned.
It hadn't taken long before she grew tired, and after fluttering around, she spotted a lovely sea of color behind some huge structure; it was gorgeous, and had seemed like the perfect resting place, seeing as she didn't realize most of these plants protected themselves with thorns. As she dove down throw the leaves, it felt like hundreds of them had snagged and tore at her wings and flesh, leaving her to tumble down to the dirt with tears in her little golden eyes.
Now to make it worse, she was cowering behind one of the none thorny plants while some giant beast walked towards her.

Ah, Kenneth always enjoyed the fresh air of a Saturday mourning. He loved everything about nature, and he always loved the little garden his mother tended. Especially the red roses his Mother cared so deeply about. This little roses were also very prickly and sharp, and Kenneth learned that a few years ago when he was playing around with them.
Looking down at the garden, Kenneth curiously looked at some of the non throny plants, before suddenly jumping up back, noticing something he never expected to see in his entire life.
A small creature, maybe about 6 or 5 inches tall. It looked humanoid. It looked badly hurt, and was whimpering behind one of the small flowers. Being curious as he always is, Kenneth walked towards the small creature's hiding place. He suddenly kneeled down in front of her, and reached out his hand in front of her.

At first, all Iris could do was gawk at the giant hand reaching towards her, trembling as he tall ears folded back. When it was a foot from touching her though, something inside her snapped, and she screamed before trying to turn and run, only to end up tripping over a root. She tried to get up, but between her tattered wings and bruised little body, she could only find the strength to roll over onto her back and gaze up at the huge curious eyes peering at her through the leaves.
"P-please," she squeaked, "d-don't hu-hurt me!!!!"

Kenneth suddenly flinched back, the scream from the small fairy surprised the heck out of the young boy. It was strange enough to see something so small, but it was even more shocking to see that it was alive! He stared nervously at the pained fairy, until it suddenly said something. "Oh.., oh... I wasn't going to hurt you!" Kenneth exclaimed down at her. "I... I... Just found you down here.."

((sorry for the wait, first week of school was rough @.@))
Iris sniffled as little tears of fear rolled down her freckled cheeks, he purple brows knotting together in confusion. Was he telling the truth? Sure he was some sort of giant but...he looked sincere enough. She looked down at her scratched up arms and her tattered wings, and behind her at the massive wall of thin wood and plants. "I-I need help...," she thought out loud. she turned her tearful gaze back up to the giant boy and cleared her throat.
"I-If you're not g-gonna hurt m-me, can you h-help?"

(I'm sooooooo sorry) Kenneth looked down at the tiny girl with sheer amazement, he never thought he would be someone who would discover that fairies were indeed alive. He flinched slightly when she spoke. "He-Help you?" He stuttered. "Well, Well... I could do that for you, yeah..." He carefully scooped her up into his hands. "You look really hurt, don't worry." He sighed. "Ill try to help."

Iris let out a small squeak as she was lifted up into the air by the giant boy, feeling extremely vulnerable now that she was in his hands. Once his had stopped at his chest, she pulled her knees up towards her own chest an rubbed the tears from her eyes, sniffling. "Th-thank you...a-are you a-a healer?" she asked, referring to what her people called their doctors. She wondered if this giant boy had powers like those of the fairies'.

Healers? Kenneth didn't understand what the small fairy meant by that. "Well Uh... Not really." He sighed. "But I can still help you, you understand?" He grew a small nervous smile. "I'll take you to my home, okay?" He stood up, and started to gently walk back towards his home.

Iris gave the giant boy a small nod to show she understood. As he stood, she held tight to his thumb, knowing if he dropped her she wouldn't be able to flap her wings and save herself from the drop.
When the boy walked towards his massive home, each step made her stomach drop, reminding her of dipping and diving when she flew, and had she not been so nervous, she might have giggled. Instead though she kept her golden eyes locked on the giant, curiosity starting to poke at her.
"Uh...wh-what's your n-name?" she aske timidly as she twirled a purple curl around her finger, biting her bottom lip.

(So sorry ^^ "Oh, Uh well..." Kenneth didn't really expect that question yet at all. He supposed that he probably should just tell her anyway. "Well, my name is Kenneth. I'm a part of a big family.. Yu understand? Life is a little rough for me because I have one brother, and one sister." He sighed sadly. Kenneth walked into his home, carefully looking around to make sure that no one else was nearby so they couldn't spot the hurt fairy in his grasp.
