I'm gonna be adding more on the new Shrinkingman post. I still have the chapters there, but don't expect happy ending for this one.

We stared at each other for a moment until, Layton ordered his maid to put Arianna's body in a coffin so we can bury her, later on. However the stench of her blood finally got me nauseated and I don't feel like my usual self. I was hoping that he doesn't notice it because i'm usually stronger than that. However, this wasn't the usual case, as he stared down at me with his blue-green eyes.
"Eliza." Layton said. "What is wrong, love? You look sick."
"Layton." I said. "I think I'm going to throw up."
"Huh?" was all he said.
Layton didn't waste time as he got up to his feet and took me into his bathroom. Once there, he allowed me a lot of privacy as I threw up in his sink. I was feeling sick and guilty of killing Arianna, but I didn't have a choice in the matter. I wanted to, I could've let her live, and she would've helped the Rebellion Forces. Maybe then, she and her fiance would've had normal lives to lead if it wasn't for the Black Hawks. I give anything to make every one of them pay with their lives. For now, my plans for revenge, will have to wait as I had to finish throwing up. Once I was done, I was cleaned up and taken back to the tiny house. By then, the place was cleaned up and it didn't smelled like death.
"I bet Layton must've helped the maids." I said to myself.
I was grateful that they didn't pick up what I said as they help me change from the dress I worn today into my favorite pajamas, a red, henley shirt with a pink stripe pajama pants to disguise my cast on my injured right leg. I went downstairs just in itme to see the same giant cook offering me soup, Cream of Potato. I didn't want to say no to him after all the hard work he's done to put up with Layton. He gently took me into his hands and brought me downstairs in the living room. He was very kind to me as he set me down on the pillow. As I ate the soup in the tiny bowl, he sat down on a chair opposite of Layton's own chair and watched me with a curious, child like look.
"What is it?" I asked him.
"You look beautiful even with or without injury." the cook said. "I hope he keeps you."
"But you don't like him." I said.
"I tolerate him." the cook said. "But I have a hard time telling him how I feel because of my accent."
"There's nothing wrong with it." I said. "I'm curious to know where you're from?"
"Ireland." the cook said.
I suggested that he should talk to Layton about this and hope he can understand where he's coming from because he won't know unless he's told about what happened. The cook agreed to talk to him for a bit and left me alone for a while to finish up my soup. A guy in the black hawk mask had just ran towards me in as an attempt to kill me. However, he stopped himself when I turned around to face the same colored eyes as mine.
"What are you doing?" I said. "Get away from my leg."
"Trust me." The masked man said. "It'll be over soon enough."
"What?!?!" was all I could say.
He used his dagger by cutting the cast off my right leg and destroyed the homing beacon that would've alert the Black Hawks. It wasn't long until I realized the doctor who operated on me had been working for the Black Hawk Syndication just to give them an upper hand in killing me while I'm on injury reserve.
"That son of a *****." I said. "He was working for the Black Hawks."
"I know." The masked man said. "That's why I removed your cast because of it."
"Thank you." I said.
He nodded his welcomes and disappeared, leaving me with my unwrapped right leg. I sent a text to my father to come over to Layton's house at once because I discovered something in my cast that felt rather odd. He promised me to be there within a few hours because he had to go get Anya and Harry ready to infiltrate the formal gala, hosted by the Black Hawks. So I ended up lying there on the pillow with a lot of things going on in my mind especially with the doctor's alleged loyalty to the Black Hawks and the masked man literally saving my life by destroying the homing beacon. I just wanted to sleep and never wake up after all of this. However, I knew better than to do that, especially if it's in the kitchen. For now, I gave into it and slept on the pillow. I kept the broken cast next to me, in order to show dad what was in there. During that time, I could here giant voices coming from inside the room next to the kitchen.
"Eliza." Layton said.
I could feel myself being picked up from the pillow into his hand. Then, he headed into his room, as I continued to lay there in his hand, sleeping. Eventually, I woke up to see Layton staring down at me, wondering why my cast was off.
"That doctor who did the surgery on me put a homing device." I said. "He did this so the Black Hawks can find me. The masked man took off my cast as a result."
"How?" Layton said. "I mean this..."
It wasn't long until he saw the tiny homing device that was planted inside my cast as a way to alert the Black Hawks and try to kill me. Layton was angry of course, but he had better control of himself, especially with me in tow. It was then I discovered what they were after. He saw what I was thinking and opened the dollhouse with his right hand. I managed to crawl out of his left hand and headed inside my room to retrieve the backpack.
"Are you looking for the sattelite?" Layton asked me.
"No." I said. "It's something else."
The satellite was taken by my father of course, but it was in safe hands with him. I was worried about the extra item I stole from the Black Hawks. Good it was still there, the Smart cart. I usually use as mostly as crutches so I can have an easier time getting downstairs. I took out the homing beacon for it so, they can't trace me down here again.
"What is that?" Layton said.
"It was the other device I stole from the Black Hawks." I said. "Dad already took the sattelite. This stayed though because of my injuries."
"I see." Layton said.
For a while we didn't say anything to each other, even though we knew that the answer would be when it came down to the Black Hawks. As we tried to keep it out of out mind, I saw Layton leave to answer the door. I was hoping it wasn't going to be some Black Hawk sentry sent to kill me. I know I shouldn't wish for something like this because knowing the Black Hawk Syndication, they won't stop at nothing to make sure I'm dead.
"They won't attack you." the masked man said.
"How?" I said. "They know where Layton lives and one information could cause trouble."
"No." the masked man said. "Not if I switched the coordinates and sent them on a wild goose chase."
I didn't see him leave because he didn't want me to know who he was and why he was helping the rebellion forces. I could only keep my head up as Layton brought my father into the house. He looked like a mix between concern and disbelief. I proceeded to tell him what is going on and showed him about the homing device the doctor put into my cast to alert the Black Hawks where I was. At first I couldn't understand his reaction, until he discovered the doctor has been working for the Black Hawk Syndication.
"That son of a *****!" my father said.
"I know." I said. "That was my reaction. The masked man removed my cast to destroy the homing beacon."
"You're still not out of danger." my father said. "They could still track you and Layton back here."
"How?" was all Layton said.
"The homing beacon." my father said. "You and Eliza need to be out of here and somewhere safe."
I looked over at Layton as he has the same look at me. He diodn't want to leave his home, not at all. However, at the same time we both knew the consequences if we don't leave at once and go to a safe area. The Black Hawks could still trace us back here no matter how careful we are about it. We were both in danger, yet at the same time, Layton has the size advantage because of his lineage as a size changer. Maybe my father could use him to do retcon and maybe destroy many of the Black Hawk Syndication bases and factories. However, that still leaves me and because I'm on the injury list, I was in danger.
"I'm sending you away to the Isle of Man." my father said.
"What?" I said. "You can't.. England is my home. I refuse to leave here unless I really can't fight."
"Eliza, you are not only injured." my father said. "You are also in grave danger. If you stay, they come for you and we'll lose the war. I need you healthy and well for the upcoming battles."
I could've continued fighting with him for a very long time as I looked at him. However, I looked over at Layton and his eyes convinced me I should leave for a while until I'm fully healed. During this time, I decided to tell my father about our relationship and needless to say he was angry about it, inside the house. Layton left his room to keep a watchful eye on the Black Hawks from the outside and inside.
"Do you realise what you're doing?" my father said. "This is supposed to be Anya's fiance. Oh no, it's worse than that."
"Dad, I'm sorry." I said. "We love each other. I'm not too keen on your choice of fiance for me. Layton and I had agreed to premarital conduct."
"What am I going to tell his family?" my father said. "Eliza, I'm really good friends with his father and Anya. I also promised you to Alex Winters and imagine how humiliated his family will feel if they found out about this. They'll....."
"Layton's parents know." I said. "They told us we had to be married before the time limit was up."
My father was in a deeper shade of vermillion than before as he headed out of the house to vent out his anger. I wanted to tell him and Anya how sorry I was about the scenario, but I know if Layton and I both loved each other, then we should let it bloom. I also know I'll have to explain this to Alex's parents as well. There was more to it than the premartial contract that I wanted to tell my father. I knew it wasn't just the injury because I'm heling fine with massages and the lotioning that Layton's been giving me for the time I was here. I suspected that I've been missing my period for at least 7 days and I had borrowed a pregnancy test from one of the maids to see if my suspicions were confirmed or it was in my imagination. After waiting for at least three minutes for the test results, my suspicions were confirmed. The strip turned blue and I was indeed pregnant with his child.
"No." I said. "I can't be...."
It was going to anger my father even more now because in addition to both the premarital contract and the pregnancy. I also knew it would break Anya's heart when she finds out about both my pregnancy and the premarital contract. She had been wanting to marry Layton for a long time and hadn't suspected that we didn't do anything wrong.
"I'm sorry, Anya." was all I could say, trying to resist bursting into tears.
I headed into a confessional hall with one of the maids helping me in and waited for me outside as I prayed to God for forgiveness for all of my sins because it was all my fault. I really humiliated my family with both the contract and the pregnancy. Dad, Anya and Harry will never forgive me for this one and I knew that all too well. As I knelt down and crossed myself again, I saw my sister for the first time in the same room. From the look on her face, she was upset and I knew it.
"Anya." I said.
"Eliza, how could you?" Anya said. "Premarital contract with Layton and then getting pregnant."
"I'm sorry." I said. "I didn't intend for it to happen, but it did. I tried to resist but it was too much for me."
Anya didn't answer me and slapped me across the face. I wanted to fight back against her by punching her, but I was too afraid of losing my baby and I couldn't risk it. Eventually, I saw her calm down for a bit. I was still holding onto my stomach, trying to protect the baby from being harmed.
"Dad is going to be so mad." Anya said.
"I know." I said. "I really made a mess of things. Layton and I falling in love, agreeing to a premarital contract and me being pregnant. You and dad know what has to be done."
"Yes." Anya said. "Strangest thing about it was that even though he was meant to be my husband and you were to be sent to marry Alex Winters in the Isle of Man. He already chose you instead of me and you have to be married before you leave here."
"I know that." I said.
I headed out of the confessional room with the maid helping me with my injured right leg. Once she got me into my room, she helped wrap my leg up in a bandage as Anya sat down on the chair next to my bed. As soon as the maid leaves to fix us some tea, I turned to my sister and have her look at the broken leg cast.
"The doctor who did your surgery was working for the Black Hawks at the time." Anya said. "I was fighting him and a few agents off because the device in your cast was not only a homing beacon, but a bomb as well."
"WHAT?" I screamed. "He was trying to murder me."
"That's what I know." Anya said. "The masked man help me kill the agents and I was able to kill the doctor as a result."
It was the only thing that kept me distracted as Layton and his parents walked into his room for that moment.
"Eliza." Layton said. "We need to talk."
Here we go..... was all I could think about for that moment. I knew we did something wrong because with the pregnancy. As I continued to listen while straining to look up, it was clear to me that they wanted me and Layton married before I leave to the Isle of Mann. That would be a stressful time for me at the moment while I'm away. I will be seperated by both my family and him.
"Are you ok." Layton said.
"I'm fine." I told him. "Just a little stressed out and overwhelmed."
Once they were gone, I could only be worried even more as I showed Layton the pregnancy test I took. I didn't want to hide this from him for a long time. I could tell his mother knew I was pregnant. I think she could be either a nurse or a doctor. I don't know until he tells me.
"What is that?" Layton said.
"A pregnancy test." I said. "I borrowed it from a maid because I was worried about not having my period for the past 7 days."
"You could've asked my mother to do that for you." Layton said. "She's a nurse and works in Obstetrics. She would do the tests for you. What was the result?"
I could remain quiet for the moment as I thought about what to say to Layton. A part of me wanted to lie to him because I was afraid he may not take the pregnancy very well. Also, I want to be the one to protect his family for once in my life. At the same time, I know it's wrong because this is his child and I don't want to deprive either of them. I finally showed him the test with the blue strip on it.
"I'm Pregnant." I said.
"What?' was all Layton could say.
"We have to be sure though." Layton said.
He put me into his pocket and I was taken to the hospital where his mother worked. I was put under extensive pregnancy tests for a while. During that time, I could vaguely keep my composure as the tests continued on until finally I was done. However, I was to wait a while with Layton as the pregnancy test reached it's final stages. Once it was done, I could see his mother come out.
"The tests are confirmed." Mrs.Black said. "Eliza is pregnant."
"I knew it." I said. "I wasn't having my period for 7 days and I knew something was up."
I had done a pregnancy test before when I was alone, but I borrowed a maid's test and I figured Layton had to be sure. However, I saw him faint the minute results are told. I looked very concerned as two orderlies put him on a stretcher and took him into another room.
"Layton." was all I said. "Is he..."
"He's fine Eliza." Mrs.Black said. "Men faint each time they hear their wives or girlfriend's pregnancies. They usually don't take it too well at first. Give them a few days to be comfortable about it."
It was all I could think about. I'm greatly worried for the safety of both our families. The Black Hawks wouldn't give up without a fight and neither would I. For the moment, all I could think about is how Layton is holding up. It took a while to ge used to the idea, I was pregant, but eventually he was ok with it.
