Okay, before I star posting what we have written so far, I should explain some facts about Stargate, so everyone will know what's going on.
What is a Stargate? It is a huge Ring, made of a special material. It is connected with other Rings on other planets. (Just imagine them as some kind of telephones) They come with a device with several buttons, which has the same function of a dial plate. And if you hit a certain combination of Buttons, you make a connection with another ring . If a connection is made, a watery wall appears inside the ring and you can walk through it, traveling to the other planets in split seconds. Because of this, the people on earth called the ring Stargate.
Where is this Stargate? It is in the Cheyenne Mountain complex in Colorado Springs, several meters underground.
Who travels through the Stargate? The US Air force managed to make the Stargate work again and thus sends their own special teams through the ring to explore other planets.
The special teams are called SG-teams and mostly consist of 3 to 5 people. Normally, only soldiers are allowed to be in a team, or at least scientists with military training. But there are some exceptions, so some civil scientists are able to be part of the program. The existence of the Stargate is top secret and only a few people on earth know about it.
What did they find on other planets? They found several other cultures and species, Some of them were friendly, others were more than hostile.
One species, which caused the most danger for earth at the beginning are the Goa'Uld. The Goa'Uld are a species of small, snake-like creatures who are parasites. They need human hosts to be able to survive. Once they managed to get into a human's body, they attach themselves to the brain and take over the body. A Goa'uld is much stronger than a normal human and always tries to enslave other people by claiming that he/she is a god.
Once, a Goa'uld even ruled over earth, which was about 5000 years ago in ancient Egypt. He called himself" Ra", who is known to mankind as the Egyptian god of the sun. He made the people on earth build the pyramids, which served as a landing spot for their huge ships.
Okay... I hope this gave you a bit main information. Now I will just list some things/persons and explain what/who they are:
Chappa'ai - The Goa'-Uld word for Stargate, literally it means *Ring of the Gods*
Zat-gun - a special hand weapon, created by the Goa'Uld. It shoots shock waves at the target. The first shot stuns the target, the second kills it, and the third one makes it vanish (but this effects ma vary if the target is bigger than normal). The people on earth got their hands on these weapons and often use them.
Dr. Daniel Jackson - An archaeologist who found out how the Stargate was used. He is a member of the very first SG-team and knows very much about ancient cultures and speaks over 28 languages.
Okay, I think I mentioned most of the important things. If you still have questions or anything is unclear, never hesitate to ask. ^^

Okay, let's get this started.
Characters:

Biali plays: Sophia Bergvogt Rani
Stargate SG 20 - A big discovery
"At last some fresh air. Finally a little relaxation," Iwas thought and gleefully took a deep breath. He would on no account, want to miss a single aromatic molecule which the plants, in the depth of the heavenly gardens produced. Iwas had long wished for spending his holiday in this area of the continent, which was known to the general public as the "City of Gardens". But over and over again shortages had thwarted his holiday wishes, and as a 32year old, who worked in the mine administration for only 12 years could just not take some days off when there was trouble at work. But eventually he had made it. He was there, in the heavenly gardens, the smallest but most beautiful part of this region. Iwas' ancestors believed that the spirits had saved all the plants that now were seen by his blue eyes , from the world of shadows, a world far away from all understanding. But Iwas knew that all this was but a popular belief, simple superstition. The ancestors believed in a magic ring called Chappa'ai, a ring of standing water that was a passageway between the world of shadows and the world of lights,. But Iwas could only shake his head over such stories and trotted on through the wilderness. Iwas did not like to stay on normal paths and he was now far away from civilization and enjoyed his solitude. The sun was wonderful, the insects whistled reassuring, nothing could spoil the day. But then a loud bang made him flinch. Iwas knew what this bang was: It was an explosion. "Out here,?"he thought suddenly , "Damn, what was that?" ,he said He quickly sought out a clearing, looked around and soon he could see a puff of smoke over the tops of the trees, not far away from him. Out of curiosity, he immediately walked to where the smoke came from, and with each step he came closer to the solution to this puzzle. When he was in the immediate vicinity of the origin to be, he slowed down and tried to proceed with cover. Suddenly, behind a small hill, which gave him cover, he could see it. See,but not believe. It was the Chappa'ai! Just as the legends had described it!. A large wall of water, surrounded by a bright ring that was so high that it would went up to his thigh. "Damn, I will be famous! FAMOUS Haha ..." thought Iwas and was about to stand up to have a closer look at his discovery. But then he froze. He could hear voices. And only moments later, he was able to see who made the voices. There were tiny creatures! Iwas slipped a bit back down the slope and held his hands to his head in disbelief. "Damn, it's the spirits."
------------------ Three hours earlier: Sophia Bergvogt walked along the corridors of the Stargate Center in the Cheyenne Mountain Complex right next to her French teammate Henri Gusteau. She had needed some time to get used to the quite martial surroundings and actions here . She was, in contrast to the other four members of her team, not a member of the military. She served as a civilian employee for the European Stargate program . She was a renowned exobiologist and has been chosen for this program because of her good work. Her task was to examine the plants and animals of other planets to find anything useful for the medical industry. She and Henri were on their way to the briefing, and finally reached the conference room. Their other colleagues had already arrived and studied the records of the mission target. Quite excited, Sophia got to her seat and looked over the papers. Some images, the probe had made of the planet before, were in there too. The area left much room for investigation, as the area seemed almost like a jungle. Their superior General opened the meeting and explained what was known about the planet. To the knowledge of the Stargate Center, for years, no Goa'uld had been there and there was no human life. For Sophia this was interesting, but her colleagues from the military would definitely like to have more excitement. Unfortunately, the non-US teams were often sent to missions with harmless intent only.
Sophia tried to remember the schedule as best as she could and took notes. Now and then her eyes fell on her other team members. They all belonged to different nations: France, Austria, Spain and Germany. Until now, they worked very well together, and there had been no problems until now. The briefing lasted almost an hour until they were dismissed in order to get ready. Sophia went into the equipment room and put on her uniform. She would never have imagined to ever wear something like this as her working cloth. And she still had to get used to those heavy boots and the heavy weighty equipment. And she had to admit that she was still very much nervous. Her Austrian colleague, tried to cheer her up a bit. But mostly she just made crude jokes that did not really made Sophia feel better. Nevertheless she tried to smile, to not act rude. Then the moment had come: she stood in front of the gate area, where people were already feverishly preparing for the next activation of the Stargate. However, their excitement was diminished when they saw that an American team was ready to go through before them. So they had to wait half an hour until they were able to get their turn. As soon as the other team was gone, the gate opened for her team: SG 20. It was not her first trip, but she was still nervous. As always, she and Henri were the ones to go through first. She took a breath and stepped into the watery wall to to exhale when she re-emerged. They had just taken a step out when Sophia heard the gate closing behind her with a hiss. She turned around in shock, just like Henri who was beside her. The other team members were not here. "Merde! What happened?" ,said the Frenchman, obviously confused. "I don't know ... maybe a power failure?." She said shrugging. She really had little idea of the functioning of this gate. She looked around and was startled."That ... that does not look like the pictures the probe took.", she said. Before the gate there was a big hill, and the forest looked anything but jungle-like. "And there is no dialing tool ..."," added Henri. Something went terribly wrong here.

"Merde" thought Henri "Merde, Merde, Merde". As an experienced officer of the armee de Terre de la France situations like this were nothing strange, but this was just annoying. It was his third mission, and instead of the US-Teams who actively fought against Goa'uld, he had to play the babysitter for some scientists. Of course, Henri knew other scientists such as Dr.Jackson from the reports who had demonstrated that he had the guts for a mission, but the German seemed to him more like a clumsy little child with almost no experience. But despite all, he was responsible for his SG20 and thus also for Dr. Bergvogt. And she seemed to take the lack of the dialer and the changed nature not too well. "Listen, you have to remain calm. There are no Goa'Uld here, and there is no proof of anybody else who could have interfered with the dialing system, otherwise they would be here already waiting for us, nes pas?" Said Henri, and began to slowly investigate the environment. "After all, the atmosphere is breathabaaaaAAAAAHHH." Even before Henri could finish his sentence, he was thrown back by a force field that had become visible by his collision with it. "Merde. Maybe I've been wrong, we may are stuck in here." Henri said and thought for a moment " Let's try it with C4. " Sophia, who obviously still had not processed whole situation nodded briefly and stared at the captain a little dumbfounded. "So, take cover, I'll put the C4 on the force field, this had worked on other forcefields before." Carefully Gusteau put the explosive parcels in the vicinity where he had touched the field and went to Sophia, who already hid behind the gate. "So Sophia, don't be scared. … one, two ,three.... allumage!" With a loud explosion the C4 blew up and had the whole force field light up brightly, that, now that they saw it, was shaped like a sphere and enclosed the area around the Stargate . Unfortunately, however, the explosion did not seem to change anything, the force field was still intact. Sophia and Henry stood up and looked at the place were the C4 had exploded. A deep crater had formed in the ground, but nothing more. "Um ... bien ... the force field has unfortunately not changed. But don't worry, Sophia. According to the SG protocol, we should get help in about 6 hours ... If they know where we are. ",Gusteau tried to calm the scientist. "After all, nothing wats to kill us here, nes pas?" But Sophia stared up into the sky. Henri followed her gaze and where it ended, he saw a huge face. A giant face on to which a huge body was attached. "Merde" Henri, cursed and drew Sophia back towards the gate, but in the process, he touched the force field with his Famas. Mercilessly the energy went through the gun and into his body. The world was getting black around him. "The third mission ... Mince!" ran through his head as blackness fell upon him.
--
Iwas thought this over several times, but he always came back to the same conclusion ... they had to be spirits. The spirits, which his ancestors had described in legends. The spirits who would bring him luck and fortune if he would catch them. Carefully, he peeked over the hill and watched the spirits who walked around the Chappa'ai. Finally, he summed up his courage and stood up and as quietly as possible approached them. When he stood before them, he realized how small the small spirits were actually. And the female spirit seemed to have already noticed him. She seemed to be one of the good kind, for she made no attempt to steal his soul, or to take over his body. "That must be my lucky day!" Iwas thought and turned his attention to another spirit, who now had apparently noticed him too. Frantically, he pulled the woman back, but was then hit by a bright light and collapsed as if he was just a small mortal human. "Now it should be easy to catch this spirit." Iwas said loudly and moved closer to pick her up.
---
Sophia still had some ringing in her ears after the bomb exploded. She cautiously came out from behind the gate and was about to say something. But then she saw something next to Henri and could not believe her eyes: a giant being came over the large hill and was directly approaching them. Was confused her a bit more than just it's size, was the appearance of the creature. It looked like a huge man! Sophia did not know what she should do. Out of sheer amazement, she stared at the giant, who was pretty close now. Maybe she unconsciously relied on the force field that surrounded her. But then Henri pulled her back towards the gate, and the bright flash of light that appeared subsequently did not looked good. Her colleague was lying lifeless beside her, and she could not immediately determine, whether he was still alive .What to do now? She chose to rely on the fact that the force field still existed and was going to take care of Henri. Sophia already opened her first-aid kit and wanted to check his pulse when she heard a loud voice over her, but she could not understand the words. Startled, she turned in the direction of the huge being, and saw that it had stretched out his hand - willing to grab her. Sophia hardly had control of what she was doing now: She reached for the gun, which Henri got in his holster , and pointed it at the great quivering palm in front of her. "Stop! Don't touch me!" she cried with fear. She had never used a weapon before, and was not really sure if they could do anything with it. She quickly made a few steps backwards and hit her back against the ring of the gate. "Shit, this is not possible." She thought, and only hoped that her cry and threat with a weapon, would result in anything.
