don't think I know who you are, but it doesn't matter. Please understand that my story takes place 800 years into the future after the 2% of the human race survived both World War III and the nuclear virus with the cure. My name is Artemis Storm and my story begins in the year 2808 after the New Year's Eve party in downtown Reikos. As they celebrated the ringing of the new year, I was at home with my six-year-old son, Davin. His father, Austin, left us when he was born and we haven't heard from him since. It didn't bother us that much as he wasn't a good father to him anyway. I did what any single mother would do and raise my son the best way as I can. I have a high paying job which is more than enough for me and my son to live off of. Anyway, my case started a couple of days later as the reports of deadly attacks of citizens being killed or injured from three mutants.
"Artemis." Mikos said. "You got the case of the mutant attacks on civilians."
"Ok." I said.
If you must know the mutants are human like species that are very deformed around their bodies and their mouths have razor sharp teeth. They've been known to live in the wilderness away from here. The attacks began on the day of the snow festival and needless to say I can act very calm and hard about things. The reality is that I'm one of the survivors of the nuclear disease and the horrible World War III. I've had a big fear that one day the mutants will jump over the wall that was built to protect Rieonica and will slaughter us.
"I'll get on it right away." I said, heading out of the station.
I loaded up my guns and got on my hoverboard to go to the scene of the crime. With this going on, there's no doubt in my mind that this will be a long case. My cousin, Ginger's watches Davin during the nights that I'm doing the case. As soon as I arrived to the scene of the crime, the officers sped me up on what they found with the dead victims. Apparently the three dead victims were punks who thought they could defeat the mutants if they used themselves as bate. It didn't work as their friends warned them against doing that.
"Just three kids that should've kept their noses in their books and their homework." I said. "Over doing something this stupid."
"So true." the officer said.
"Did you guys get any comment from the two surviving victims?" I asked them.
"One statement from the female." the other officer said. "The male lost his voice to speak. Therefore we can't get any comment on him."
I had the perfect solution to it as I went inside to where the male was and handed him a sheet of paper and a pen for him to write on. This helped out a lot as the male wrote down his statement on what happened as his friends dared to fight the mutants using themselves as bait. It was the dumbest move they'd made that would hurt their parents in the long haul. As soon as this was over, I got out of the cop car and walked over to the two officers waiting for me.
"Did you get his statement?" the officer said.
"I did." I said. "Since you mentioned that he couldn't talk after the attacks. I had him write on paper telling us what happened. The officer that were on duty were able to kill the mutants, saving both of them."
As this continued on, I noticed one of the dead victims looking towards the sky as it was still sunlight. The female victim got out of the other car and prayed for her friends finding peace.
"Are you Miranda Millerd?" I asked.
"I am." Miranda said.
"Have you done anything this crazy before?" I asked.
"No." she said. "I'm a straight A student. I wouldn't do anything this stupid."
"That's good." I said.
"Ron, Darin and Nick thought it'll be a good idea to bluff off the mutants who snuck in here." Miranda said. "Apparently they didn't think with their brains about how dangerous the mutants are. I was aware of it and so was Evan. They only attacked us, but then they made sure that he never talked again which is why the officers didn't get a comment on him."
I told her that I got the statement from her friend, Evan in which that both of them must stay away from challenging anymore mutants. She agreed to the terms that they stay far away from the crime scene until the fight against the mutants ended. This is going to be a very long case as the mutants have shown how aggressive they are in killing.
"It's funny how genocide and war brought the near end of the human race." The officer said.
"Yes." I said. "But you must also remember that we all came together and never gave up on living and rebuilding our lives again."
He nodded his head as we continued to pick up more evidence as it happened one of the dead victims opened his eyes and tried to attack us.
"Holy....." was all the officer said.
I pulled out my gun and shot the attacking mutant directly into the head, instantly killing him. I did the same for the remaining two victims as it was customary to kill the the minute they become mutants. It's a tough job to do, protecting what left of our race, but over time we got used to it.
"Acurate shot." the officer said. "The name's Briant Williams. I'm from the 2nd division"
"Artemis Storm." I said. "From the 12th division."
"I see." he said. "One of the top divisions of the league."
It was true that the 12th and the 2nd divisions were two of the members of the law enforcement of Rieonica. As soon as I gathered the evidence and the testimony of the two surviving victims, I headed back to the 12th division precinct on my hoverboard. I had to type in my report on what happened with the victims and hope that both Miranda Millerd and Evan Wheats stayed out of the crossfire for good. This is because I don't want any more casulaties that is one of the thing of this job I still haven't gotten used to as of now. Although I usually hide it though my tough exterior.
"Did you get the statements from the two victims?" my chief asked me.
"I just did and I'm typing it right now." I said. "When I'm done, I'll give it to you."
"Ok." he said. "Carry on"
That the Chief of the 12th precinct, Lloyd Royal. He has dedicated his life to making sure that Rieonican civilians are safe on the streets which is why no one should be out at night without supervision. I continued to type in my report as my friend, Mikos came in.
"Artemis." Mikos said. "Did you get the report of the two victims?"
"I got their testimony." I said. "But one of their dead friends came back to life as a mutant and tried to kill me and Williams. I ended up shooting him in the head, rendering him dead."
"Yikes." he said. "I haven't encounted anything like this before."
"You will eventually." I said. "You thought joining this precinct is glamorous and flowery. It isn't, it's survival to the fittest. You have to understand that not too manyy people didn't want to join, but did so to try and protect our fellow Rieonicans as well as our own families."
And it's true that he'll find out how much it's survival to the fittest when I take him to one of the places where mutant attacks are occuring. For right now, I just want to get my report done on the testimony and soon. Once I finally finished up on the report, turned it in to my boss. Then I headed out of the precinct for the night because I had to head home to be with my son while Gwen has to work the late shift at her job.
"I hope nothing bad happens." I said. "I don't want anything happening that'll make me late home to my son."
I hopped on my hoverboard and headed home because I hate having to walk home and it was more convienient for me to use. The traffic isn't bad at all as I made my way home for the night. Once I did so, my cousin came outside the house to talk to me.
"Did you hear what happened?" Ginger said.
"I was there." I said. "Three dumb teens thought it'll be a smart idea to bluff off the mutants by using themselves as bait. But two of their friends were smart to say no."
"Yeesh." Ginger said. "That bad."
"That's right." I said. "Just go to work for the night."
She headed off to work as I stayed home for the night with my son. I needed the night off from all the times I've worked late at night and my cousin stayed at my house with Davin.
"I hope nothing bad will happen." I said.
"Mom." Davin said. "Are you ok?"
"I'll be fine." I said. "I just need time to think. Just do your homework."
I wasn't fine at all. I felt like exploding at times because of what late shifts can do to me. I didn't want to join the fight against the mutants, but I had no other choice. I had to support my son and pay bills as a single mother since my ex-boyfriend who is his father left. At times, I just want to have a man like Ginger has who is very supporting and loving. I hate being a mother and a father to Davin, but I don't have much choice as Austin made his choice clear that he doesn't want anything to do with us anymore. I managed to distract myself by cooking dinner for both of us for the night.
"How was school?" I asked.
"It was ok." Davin said. "Mom, do you miss dad?"
"Yes and no." I said. "No, because he made his choice a long time ago and had no qualms about it. Yes, because I missed all the times he's supported us thoughout the hard times."

Meanwhile in space, the giant male is driving a spacecraft that is from an alternate earth where there's overpopulation. His face can't be seen but he has long black hair, tied in the ponytail and is wearing a black outfit. He looked concerned for his life as he dodged his way throught the asteroid belt to find a new homestead from his planet.
"I need to find a new home and fast." the giant said. "I'll stop by on the new planet."
He decided to land on the new planet which he'll later find out to be the planet Earth. Hopefully he can find some inhabitants friendly to let him stay on the planet.
*************************************
I headed off to bed for the night after I cleaned up the dishes. I tucked him to bed and let him sleep. Then I headed into my bedroom to change clothes. The minute I did so, I climbed into bed and went to sleep.
"This is taking a toll on me." I said. "As hard as I try not to be interested in men, I wish I could be with a man who can love and support me and Davin without problems or rejection."
As much as I try hard not to let Davin know that I wanted to start dating. It was so hard for me because no man wants a woman who is both a mother and a father that has a very tough exterior. They want a woman who has a sweet and soft exterior as well as inside. By the next morning, I woke Davin up and got him to take a quick shower.
"Davin wake up." I said. "it's time to go to school. And don't do anything funny."
Then got him dressed as I made his favorite sandwiches and took him to school on my hoverboard. I don't trust the flying school bus because the driver on there always screwed up the addresses to the school and to our house. After that I went to the 12th Precinct where I worked with my friend, Mikos. From the look on his face, it looked like he wasn't happy at all.
"Morning Mikos." I said.
"Morning." he said. "Don't ask what happened."
I don't need to ask at all. If anything these days, it had to be mutant attacks. That's the hard part of doing the job, you aren't only thinking about your own life but others as well.
"Mutants, last night." I said.
"Why, yes." Mikos said. "Two mutants jumped over the wall to attack my wife, Adriane and daughter, Lida. I shot at the mutant trying to kill my daughter, thus saving her life. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to save my wife, and the male mutant killed her. I shot him in the head and then shot my wife in her head."
"You had to do the right thing." I said. "Your wife was counting on you to do the right thing. You did so in killing her. If you hadn't killed her, she would've been a mutant right now."
Mikos nodded his head as we continued working on the trial with the 2nd precinct. I was glad that he realized that this is survival to the fittest and not something glamorous. This made him think that he didn't want to be here a minute longer, but he had to stick through it for his daughter's sake.
"I hate being single." I said.
"I know." Mikos said. "It takes a toll on you being both a mother and a father. Now I'm going through it too with Lida."
"I know." I said. "But sometimes we got to buckle down and be responsible adults. Though I've yearned to be with a man again, I don't know if I should trust him around my son or not."
***************************************
The giant continued to maneuver his spaceship though the asteroid belt as he looked very pensive despite not being able to see his face. He needed to get away from his planet for a long time because of the war.
"I hope the planet Earth would provide me the place I wanted." he said. "And if there's life out there much tinier than me, I'd my best to protect them. The first step is to get them to trust in me knowing I won't hurt them."
He made his way past the asteroid belt and headed towards Mars. He made note how much the red planet is tinier than of Earth. As his ship past Mars and towards his final destination, he's heard stories about a tragic war that happened on Earth 800 years ago and his people thought the human race there died.
"I want to see for myself." the giant said.
**************************************
As we continued talking, we saw our fellow officers look up at the screen as they saw what was going on. For now, most of the mutants are in hiberation unless someone is dumb enough to provoke them again. Which is what usually happens like a couple of days ago. Sometimes the mutants would get brave enough to try and jump over the wall. Rare times, we'd see some smart enough to leave us alone as we have never been outside our protective wall to provoke them.
"It's gonna get worse before it gets better." Mikos said.
"I know." I said.
It was true as we were still in the midst of winter and we have yet to reach our Strawberry Harvest season, which starts in the spring. This means extra security needs to take place to avoid another attack again. There's no way we can do a strawberry festival outside this wall as the attacks have increased over the years, Rieonica was founded.
"We need to find ways to heighten our security and fast." one of the officer said.
"That's true." I said. "It's better if we do what we can and must before the next Strawberry Harvest Festival."
"You sense something wrong?" Narika said.
"I do." I said. "Every year it's always the same thing with the Strawberry Harvest Festival. We need to find ways to heighten and strengthen our security and fast before the next attack happens."
"I know that feeling." Mikos said. "It's always the same thing. The mutants are in a feeding frenzy every year and most precincts don't take this very seriously. Even worse is the fact some of them are very corrupt and dealing with punks who they want to provoke the mutants. "
"We'll have to see and soon." Briant said.
We got back to work after the current event news ended. Even though I kept focused on my work, I feel a bit distracted as I keep remembering my fears since I was a girl. I fear that one day the mutants will successful in jumping over the wall and kill us. It was that fear that had me join the force in the first place. I wanted to make a difference inwhat I'm going to do.
"I'm already afraid of what could happen." Narika said.
"I know." I said. "But we need to keep focus in our case and mission."
We nodded our heads and headed out on our lunch break. We needed to take some time away from here to eat. That way we don't get stressed about what to do.
**********************************
"Almost there." The giant said.
He's been in space for a long time and was getting worried about not finding a suitable place to live. It'll be over soon. he thought. I hope the tiny humans are friendly. He looked over as he saw the bright blue planet called Earth, which reminded him of Druinda. Due to wars going on there, he felt like he made the right decision to leave.
"I just can't live there anymore." the giant said. "No matter how much I'd miss my home, the wars are terrible enough to make me think otherwise. I don't want to hurt any structure or anyone smaller than me."
**********************************
We looked over as we continued to eat our lunch. We made the effort to be discreet about the heighten security and fast until the day of the festival which is in spring. We know it'll be tough considering the many times we've been attacked before over the years. At times, I do wish a powerful being could do something to help us out. Unfortunately, we can only rely on each other.
"We have to find some way to keep this from happening." Narika said.
"How do you suppose we do that?" Mikos said. "This has gone on for over 800 years."
"We have to find a away." I said. "We can't just hope for something to help us heighten our security. It has to come from us and the other precincts to prevent another mutant attack on our festival."
"We can only hope that they take this seriously." Briant said.
We finished up eating and headed by to work. This was going to a long day as we had to continue our ongoing case with the three victims who were attacked by the mutants.
"I say those three guys were very dumb to do that." Briant said.
"They're just kids." Mikos said. "They tend to be dumb to begin with."
"Well they.............." Briant said.
Frankly I don't know how much more we could take with the fight between Mikos and Briant. I stood up very angry at them and I had to say something right now before I regret it.
"Stop IT." I shouted. "I'm sick of the arguing and therefore stop it."
"We better...." Narika said.
"No." I said.
Mikos and Briant stopped fighting as Narika and I watched them leave. She turned to me and tried to fight with me, but I shoved her away and went back to work. From this moment on, I went back to work on my files. Later on that night, my cousin has babysitting night again and she is able to watch Davin for the night.
"Artemis." Pima said
"Yes. "I said.
"We need to to go to the two survivors for the night." he said.
"I'll do it if you come with me." I said.
"Im off for the night." he said.
I stayed behind for the night shift as I went out to see both Miranda and Evan for the night.
*******************************
Upon arriving to Earth, the giant is relieved to see it that he keeps the ship coming forward towards the blue planet.
"This is a nice spot for me to land this ship." he said.
When his ship entered the athnosphere, he kept going despite feeling much turbulence. He was actually happy to be on Earth as he landed his spaceship not to far from the wooded areas. He stood up from the pilot's seat and walked over to the door.
"I hope to start a new." he said.

"So how are you guys so far?" I asked them.
"We're good." Miranda said.
"You've been staying out of trouble." I said.
They nodded their head as I looked around for any mutant who are stupid enough to attack during the night. For most parts we continued to talk as we walked around for the night. Narika has the night shift like me, but she's in another part of town. I had to keep my eyes focused for a long time as I slept for five hours in the afternoon.
"We needed to tell you about what happened the other night." Miranda said as we headed into a diner.
'"Go ahead." I said.
She explained about the whole affair about the mutants provoking but she didn't think her friends would go as far as to bash them around as her sister tried to defend them. This was something I never heard from her before and I'm glad she told me about it. Evan who couldn't talk in words wrote on paper about what recently happened last night as they went to sleep. The more I think about it the more I'm worried.
***********************************
The giant went out of the spaceship and he was impressed that the earth has fresher air than Druninda. He began walking unaware that he might stumble something that would be a great discovery. It was snowing so he brought a jacket and bundled up to stay warm as he closed the door.
"This will be a nice place to live." he said with a smile.
As he continued walking, he looked at something which looked like to be a wall around a utopian city. Then he used his remote control to move the ship a couple of feet closer. He was curious but he was also tired from it. He did want to continue on and gently stepped over the wall to look around. He wasn't aware that he crushed a couple of trees and contiinued on.
"I hope they won't be mad." the giant said.
He continued walking towards the city which in one moment he'd fall asleep in the spacious part of the city.
**************************************
We got up and left the diner for the night after eating dinner. Miranda and Evan left for the night and I called some of my workers to keep an eye on them. As I was about to go home for the night, I notced something was wrong right away. I got on my hoverboard and rode towards the part of land which was planned to be used as a playground as we don't have cemeteries because we live for over 800 years, even though I'm only 24. I was injected with the cure which allowed me to live. Anyway when I got there, I got the biggest shock in my life.
"Oh my." I said.
It was a giant I saw all right. But he looks different from the previous on who only stood at 190 feet. He looks 200 feet tall and he was asleep. He was in black clothing and it didn't look futureistic. Just some simple black pants, black jacket, his boots were even black too. They looked more than huge enough to crush us that I had to notify my precint to decide what to do. As I was about to use my wrist phone, he woke up and sees me on my hoverboard. I was grateful for the light that I could finally make out his facial features. He had black hair, loose and long with deep blue eyes. He has a scar on his chin and I felt scared.
"What's wrong, sweetie?" He asked me gently.
Looking at me fearful of him, he understood what that meant for me as more people curiously looked out of their windows to see him. I managed to tell them to get back in their room and sleep. He didnt want to hurt me, but I have a hard time trusting giants. He didn't try to snatch me from my hoverboard but gently held his giant hand, palm up for me to climb in.
"How would I know, you won't hurt me?" I asked him.
"We're going to find out." He said. "I won't hurt you. I can promise you that."
I mustered up the courage to get off my hoveboard and jump into his hand. The first time I did so, I nearly fell off, but the giant was nice to gently push me onto his hand without hurting me. Then he gently brought me closer to his face to inspect me better.
"That wasn't so bad wasn't it." he said, gently.
I nodded my head as I looked up at his big blue eyes. His eyes didn't have the appearance of a horrible giant who want to eat us. As I managed to get up, my black coat hiding my fuscha turtleneck dress was opened that I had to button it up once more before he saw my legs. Apparently he caught me buttoning up.
"I saw that." The giant said.
"It's considered impolite to show skin during the winter." I said. "Women have to cover their legs up until the spring and summer season. By the way I'm Artemis Storm. What is yours, Mr.Giant?"
The giant didn't speak for a while after I told him my name. I don't know if it's either because there were other people around that saw him and thought he was going to hurt me. Or that he was nervous about what was going on and thought I was cute. Either way, he gently stood up to his height and faced me. I noticed him blushing as heck as I felt he's never seen a woman my size this cute before.
"Jairon." the giant said. "My name is Jairon."
He lowered his finger towards me and I shook it the best way I can. Jairon wow. That name suited him pretty well. He started walking around the city without crushing anything below him which was a surprise for all of us living here. He wasn't like the giants from the previous who are menacing to take over our world. He just wanted to be nice and live here. As I looked down I noticed some trees stuck to his boots, but I didn't want to ask him about it.
"I know what you're going to ask me about." Jairon said. "I stepped on a couple of trees when I first stepped over this wall that protected this city."
"But how?" I said. "No one has done this before. Not even the mutants won't jump over the wall during the winter season as it's their hibernation season. Well except for a few of them, but some kids were stupid in bluffing them."
"I see." he said. "Have there been people, my size have done so?"
"I can remember one of them." I said. "He was cruel and I'm afraid you be this way too."
Jairon paused for a minute as he stopped over at another bunch of dumb teens wanting to provoke the mutants. As they headed towards the place where the three teens were killed, they saw his black boots block their path.
"And where do you think you're going?" Jairon said, staring them down.
They looked up at him and decided to just go home. Because they feel that defying him would've been trouble and he's powerful enough to hurt them. I know he wouldn't use his size to hurt us or them. But still we have to keep that in mind when we're trying to trust giants. It's real hard for us to do so, but if we have to we will try to.
"I won't be this way." he said. "I didn't leave my planet to be destructive and harmful. I am powerful enough to hurt you, but I won't use my size for my own gain."
I nodded my head as he held me to his chest for a hug. It feels pretty awkward for me to display this kind of affection. At the same time, I felt warm around him. I didn't want to blush this much, but it was so hard in not doing so. He walked away from the city and walked towards the giant house that the last one used. It'll be a nice place for him to stay and hopefully he can introduce himself to the people here. He brought me closer to his face to talk to me. It was apparent he saw me blushing as we headed inside the house.
"Artemis." Jairon said, confused. "What is wrong? You're blushing furiously."
"I'm sorry." I said, blushing. "I'm just not used to this kind of affection. I'm used to being the all around tough girl who is dedicated in raising my son and my job. This is something new to me."
"I didn't know that." he said. "I mean aren't humans all like this."
"We are." I said. "The reason, I'm not used to this sweet affection was because of my ex-boyfriend, Austin leavng. He left us when my son, Davin turned one. Although he did admit he wouldn't have been a good father to him, but I don't like to be tough all the time."
Jairon took off his black jacket and gently set me down on the table far away from the door. Then he headed out to his space ship and brought his stuff inside the house. It included clothes, his bedsheets, towels, toiletries, even his own games, his shoes, and food and drinks. Once he's settled in, he came out to face me once more and warmed the house up. It feels a lot warmer than outside where he could've froze to death. I didn't want to ask him about his scar on his chin. He could be very sensitive about it.
"Do you want to know about my scar on my chin?" Jairon asked me.
"If it's a sensitve topic then I won't bring it up." I said.
"I had this since my accident on Druinda." he said. "I was in a car crash with my brother. We both lived, but he was left with a prosthetic arm and I had this scar as a reminder of what happened. I probably look hideous with it on my chin."
I looked over at him as he was upset about what happened about his brother, while I found his name to be Baichiru. He was pretty upset about the whole thing so I decided to cheer him up about what happened.
"I've really seen worse." I said. "But you're still handsome."
I saw myself blush as I mention that in front of him. He didn't seemed phased by it at all as he gently picked me up. I didn't know what Jairon was thinking at this time but whatever it I was going to find out. He hugged me for a bit before raising me closer to his face. I wondered what he would do next as I didn't want to be eaten alive by him at all.
"Don't worry." Jairon said. "I won't eat you. I'm not that barbaric."
"But what are you doing?" I asked him.
"You'll see." he said.
He brought me closer to the pillow of his black lips for a kiss. It was very unnerving and overwhelming for me to be kissed right away. Especially from a giant male I've only met since his arrival. At the same time it wasn't too overwhelming as he broke the kiss. I found myself being covered in what looked like black substance, but I didn't know what it was anyway.
"That was my lipstick." he said. "Sorry."
I told him he didn't have to worry about it, but he chose to wipe off his lipstick off my face and smiled. Since he wasn't mean about anything, I slowly warmed up to him as he was sweet to me. I was glad that the lipstick was off me. He wiped his own off his lips and smiled down at me. He gently held me close to him for a few minutes. It still felt awkward for me to have the feelings, that I was expirencing for the first time. Whatever that warm feeling thst I was having, it was quite different that what I've been used to feeling. However I looked up at Jairon and it was like he knew what I was thinking all along.
"You're not used to the softer feelings aren't you."
"No." I said.
I told him about the times I had to grow up tough, because my father left me years ago. My mother had a hard time adjusting to having to raise me and my sisters a long time ago. Basically it was just tough love for us as we had to stand together and push forward from all of this. The closest thing I had for a father figure was my own uncle and even he helped us thoughout our emotional hard times. It was hard for anyone outside my family to understand what I went through to survive.
"It's ok to feel some of the emotions." Jairon said. "I understand those emotions too."
"How can you understand them?" I asked. "Have you gone through them too?"
"I did." he said. "I just prefer not to talk about it."
I nodded my head and understood what that meant. He was going through what I'm going through. I was just surprised when he wouldn't mentioned about his home planet, Druinda. Altough it feels strange that there could be planets outside Earth that has people his size.
"It's not something I don't want to talk about." Jairon said.
"I won't push you to tell me about it." I said.
He nodded his head and we talked some more. I know very well he doesn't like to talk about what is going on at his planet because Earth has been thorugh it before eight centuries ago. My people and I are the only survivors of this planet, but in our survival came a new race called the mutants, a deformed verson of us. Some of the mutants aren't as deformed in the face as others are and they're real benign. The others are more ferocious and malevolent. That is what we have to kill every time they try to kill us. A few times, someone would try to do idiot stuff to to bluff them. I would prefer them to not try that at all and let us deal with them.
"What happened to Earth?" Jairon asked.
"World War III is what happened." I said.
I told him the whole story of what happened. Eight centuries ago, a couple of leaders of their nations got very arrogant with what is going on. The United States wasn't one of them because of their choice to remain neutral. World War III erupted soon after and while most neutral nations joined in, three refused any involvement and built barriers to protect the people. Eventually, the people went into bomb shelters to avoid being hit with the nuclear warheads. 98% of the population has died because of it, leaving the 2% as survivors.
"Wow." he said. "That bad."
"Yes." I said.
Jairon could understand what happened as he finally mentioned that his home planet, Druinda is going throught the same thing because of greed. He stated they should've learned from Earth's mistake in not declaring war on their own kind abeit different. It wasn't the only thing he didn't want talk about, but I felt that it isn't my place to ask him about what's going on with his family.
"I'll tell you when it's the right time." Jairon said.
"Ok." I said, blushing again.
I have to admit that he's pretty handsome, but my blushing went through the roof when he took of his jacket and shirt. He has a muscular build to him and his six packs are well defined. He gently scooped me into his hand. He gently raised me closer to his face as his big blue eyes faced me.
"I saw that." he said, with a smile to his face.
"I'm sorry again." I said, trying to rub off the blushing off my face.
"Please don't be." Jairon said.
He planted another kiss on me once more and he pretty much didn't stop. I was at the recieving end of his kiss, but I didn't feel nervous as much. He broke it once more, but this time I was very wet and blushing at the same time. I've never been this wet before and he noticed it pretty well.
"Sorry." Jairon said.
"Don't worry about......" was all I said.
He grabbed the nearest towel he could find and gently dried me off from his saliva. He apologized about his lips being very wet when kissing me. I told him not to worry about it all that much. It was real sweet of him to even think of the gesture. It made him bush and I could see that despite him being a giant.
"Thank you." Jairon said.
He lowered me to his chest and gave me a one hand hug on his chest. He seems pretty happy about the whole thing that I decided to forget what had happened earlier when he first arrived here. I don't know if everyone else will feel comfortable around him, but they'll have to try to get to know him. Then I remembered I had to go back to work on certain levels, but the truth is that I couldn't risk having him be seen and think he was a giant monster coming to kill them. I doubt that Jairon is that way at all. I got on my over board and headed outside to take the call on my wrist phone. My precint told me to get the rest of the night off as they needed Mikos. I headed inside and I found him about to go to sleep.
"I'll be off then." I said.
"Wait." Jairon said "I was hoping you want to crash here for the night. I'd like to meet your family."
"Really." I said, softening up. "You would."
"Of course." he said. "Besides I'm not that far from your house. Just a few blocks from here."
I nodded my head and asked him what would I sleep in. I just can't sleep in what I have on my body. He showed me something his baby sister made for her dolls, our size in their world. The nightgown was black with blue sleeves and he gave that to me to sleep in. As he gave me the chance to change clothes without seeing him, I could tell he misses his family. I would too if I was forced to leave them behind.
"I won't ask him about what happened." I said to myself.
Jairon walked in to see me in the nightgown. I had to admit it kinda felt a bit baggy, but it was beautiful at the same time. He gently picked me up and held me into his hand.
"How was the nightgown?" he asked me.
"It's kinda baggy." I said. "But it's beautiful."
"Ohh." he said. "Sorry. But that was....."
"Don't worry about it." I said, hugging him.
He returned the hug back to me for a few minutes. I could tell he was enjoying this as much as I am, but I tried to promise myself to supress the feelings I have. It was hard, but I was feeling comfortable with showing them in front of him. Next, he gently set me down on the huge pillow.
"Good night, Jairon." I said.
"Good night." he said.
Then he lied down and we went to sleep for the night. It felt wierd to once again be sleeping next to a man. Especially one 200 feet tall, but he's careful in not tossing and turning about in his sleep. It was a nice night and by the next morning, I woke up to see him not around.
"Jairon." I said, as I sat up.
I was worried that something may have happened to him that I don't know about and I don't know what we'd do with his body. I was relieved when he came in, although I was also mad at him for disappearing like that.
"Morning." he said, his blue eyes facing me.
"Jairon" I said. "You nearly scared me half to death. I was afraid something bad may have happened to you."
He could see that I was clearly worried and apologized for it, saying he needed to grab some things from his space ship before he had to discard it. Anyway he made it up to me without the worrying as we ate breakfast. After that, he went into the bathroom to get dressed and I had privacy to get dressed in the other clothes he got. I grabbed a long pair of leggings, a blue skirt, a purple turtle neck, put them on with my black boots and my jacket. They fit a lot better than the nightgown and I felt good in them too.
"So are we going to mee your family? Jairon said, coming out of the bathroom in his usual black outfit.
I nodded my head and we were out on the way. He was right about my house not being to far away from here. That my neighbors were getting curious about seeing him here. My family were indeed getting nervous with each passing second. Especially my mother and my older sisters, I was the youngest of them all. They saw me with Jairon and they felt apprehensive that they told Davin to go into his room and stay there. Jairon didn't look very aggrivated by their nervousness at all. In fact, he gently smiled down at them and wave. It made them even more nervous than ever as they saw me on his shoulder. I don't blame them for being scared at all, considering that he's very huge in size.
"Mother." My eldest sister, Liliane said. "Is that what I think it is?"
Liliane is the oldest of all my sisters and the most likely to succeed in business. When my mother was too overworked to deal with me and my older sisters, she was the one who kept us in line. She has always done well in school like me and I'm the closest to her in all levels.
"It's a giant man." my mother said.
"Mom." Selena said. "Is that Artemis on his shoulder? If so, is he that bad?"
That's Selena, she and her twin sister, Danielle, the middle sister between Liliane and my older sister, Venetia. Then my older sister, Natalie and me. She's the levelheaded sister of us and is working as a lawyer. Venetia is probably the one I get into the arguments with. She hates the fact that I'm such a know-it-all and that I sometiems call her dumb. Most of the time when someone tries to take advantage of her, I usually help her out. She's pretty much a doctor.
"Looks like Artemis is in love." Danielle said.
Then Danielle, I call her Danie because of her tomboyish appearance. She's pretty much the heart of the family, despite the fact she rushes into a fight without thinking things through. Most of the time her heart is in the right place.
"I'll go out and look at what's going on." Natalie said.
That's Natalie, my older sister. She's pretty much the closest to me in age being only 25. She's a professional dancer and is working on expanding her resume in acting. Mom is pretty much the working mom of the group, but she has her moments in being pretty scared for us. I saw my older sister come out of my house and walked towards Jairon's black boots. His long black hair breezed with the wind.
"Oh my, Artemis." Natalie said. "What is that? Would he hurt us?"
"Well...." was all I could say.
"I won't." Jairon said. "Your family can trust me."
He gently lowered his hand next to Natalie to climb in. She felt confused by it at first glance, but she braved it and climbed into his huge palm. Soon after I saw the rest of my sisters and my mother join in.
"Thank you, Jairon." Natalie said. "You had to understand how nervous we are when we saw you."
"Oh." Jairon said. "I do understand."
As they got to know each other, they felt a lot less apprehensive around Jairon, than they have from earlier on. I looked over as I saw Davin in his room looking at me confused on what is going on that I'll have to explain it to him later on. I mean about who Jairon is and why he's here. Hopefully, he'd be a bit more comfortable with him.
"Mom." he said.
"Davin." I said.
I turned to my mother and my sisters and told them I had to excuse myself as I had to talk to him. As I did so, I got the call from my wrist phone from the commisioner to come in to work.
"You guys have to excuse me." I said. "They're calling me into work."
So I had to leave for work about what happened last night. As I got there, I saw Briant looking over at me as we saw what happened.
"Oh my." I said. "What happened to him?
"He got infected." Briant said.
His daughter, Lida, had to be taken away from him as he got hit by the mutant. He was able to kill him, but the infection had just begun. Mikos was showing more aggresson as more people had come closer. I didn't have much of a choice but to kill my childhood friend as he was infected. As I pulled out my gun and shot him to death. I had remembered my promise to him that I'd always be there for him no matter what. I felt like I had indeed betrayed him when I shot him in the head. Once it was over, I helped clean up the 12th precinct with the others.
"Artemis." Briant said.
"That was my friend." I said. "Mikos was my childhood friend. We swore to each other not to shoot at each other. I felt like I betrayed that promise I made to him. WHY WAS I FORCED TO KILL HIM?"
"I know it's tough." he said. "I had to shoot my friends before because they were infected. I'm sure Mikos knew you had to do the right thing. Because if you haven't who knows how long anyone would suurvive against him in his infected state."
I only nodded as I headed home from work after helping out. As I got on the hoverboard, the commisioner asked me about the giant male that arrived here last night. It got me big time as I felt he was referring to Jairon. Many people saw him from last night which summed up that story.
"I'll explain what happened." I said.
It all started when I was trying to assist back up for that night alone. As I attempted to do so, he woke up and sat up to face me. It made me real nervous about what happened as the commissioner looked at me. I had a pretty bad feeling it might had something to do with the punks who attempted fate last night and were stopped by Jairon. For whatever reason, I felt worried about what could happen to him. For me, it's a good reason to believe something might be wrong. They think he was a science expirement gone wrong. It's too impossible because they knows what he truly is. He is a giant human, but not a harmful one. I felt a bit concerned about it, but in a few months my worries were gone. They got to know him pretty well without the assumption of him hurting us.

"He's real sweet." Danielle said.
"I do like him." I said. "But I....."
"I know you want to supress those emotions." she said. "Mom has done so when dad left her for someone else. But you're not mom, you have a second chance at love, take it."
I nodded my head and took the chance to be with them. He was bonding with Davin and his friend, Sabrina. I flt a lot better when I was around them. As I headed home from work for the night, I hoped I could get a nice quiet night at home with my son and Jairon. As I arrived home, I saw Austin on my doorstep waiting for me to come home. He had short, spiky blonde hair and grey eyes. He was 6'3 and gangly built. I wasn't as nervous at all, I expected him to come back after all this time. He looked angry as he saw me here and wanted to fight.
"Austin, you know the answer." I said. "The answer is no. You can't see our son. You left us when we needed you."
"That was not my fault." Austin said. "I wasn't ready to be a dad and that...."
"Get lost." I said. "I don't want you anywhere near my son. You lost your chance to be in his life and now he doesn't want you around. Beat it, Austin. You're a loser."
He shoved me to the wall and demanded to see our son or else. I kept saying no to him despite his threats as I had to remain strong for it. Finally, he realised that his threats aren't getting him anywhere with me and let go of me.
"Damn it, Artemis." he said. "Why do you have to be so blunt in not letting me see Davin?"
"Austin." I said. "You left us remember. You said you weren't ready to be a father and you didn't have any qualms wheter me make it or not. I proved you wrong that I was more than capable of raising Davin without you."
"Well, yes I did." Austin said. "This was before my parents made me realise that I made the wrong decisions in leaving you guys. Can I please have a........"
I said no to him and told him that he had to leave before I had him arrested for tresspassing. When Austin tried to lunge at me, Jairon picked him up from the shirt collar and raised him to his face. From the look of his blue eyes, he could tell he wasn't too happy to see him, harassing me. Austin saw it too and was scared of him right away.
"She said no." Jairon said. "Take a long flight away from here."
He sent him flying away from Rieonica. It was obvious he didn't like seeing any woman mistreated in front of him. I was no exception was he knelt down to face me.
"Artemis." he said. "Are you ok?"
"I'm fine." I said. "I just feel a bit bruised that's all."
"Come closer to me." Jairon said.
I didn't disobey him at all and got closer to him. As I stepped in his hand, I felt my bruises and cuts go away in a few minutes. I was surprised by that notion and asked him how he did this.
"I have the ability to heal myself and others." Jairon said.
"I never knew that." I said.
Jairon looked over at me as though he knew what I was going to ask him. I was just curious on how he got that kind of power to heal himself and others. It took me by surprise that he would have the ability to do so.
"I was born with them." he said. "I'm from Druninda and my family was one of the few who were rarely to never age."
I figured that Jairon was afraid I'd reject him for his abilities. He looked down at me with his blue eyes, looking sad and was ready to be rejected for it. Not just of his abilities, but his youthful appearance. I didn't reject him though, he was too handsome to be rejected.
"I found those neat." I said, shocking him. "You don't need to feel bad about yourself for it."
Happy as a clam, he gently picked my up and brought me closer to his face to hug me. I hugged his huge cheek which took him by surprise, but he gently rubbed it against my face. I've only gotten for three months and he's actually a sweet guy. As I finished hugging his huge cheek, he gently sat down on the lawn and faced me.
"Thank you." Jairon said. "So what was this all about with you and that creep you were fighitng with."
"His name was Austin." I said. "He was a ex-boyfriend of mine and unfortunately Davin's biological father. He left us when he was only one and ever since then I've raised him as best as I can being a single mom."
"He gave you trouble back then." Jairon said.
"Yes he did." I said. "I held my ground in telling him that he costed himself his chance to be see our son. I kept telling him that we want nothing to do with him. When he saw you and got tossed away from here, he got the clue."
Jairon smiled at me and planted kisses all over me. He was very sweet and understanding about the whole thing. This time I even returned the kiss back at him. I'm still thinking about the Strawberry Festival which is in a couple of days. Security is one of the things that we have to take seriously in order to ensure that the human race stays alive and keeps with the grup during the festival.
Unfortunately for me, I'm one of the security guards who has to keep an eye on the peole just in case someone tries to go into the forest where the mutant race resides in. During the next five months is when they're active this means during the spring and summer. As usual, I had to keep my hair very short because having longer hair is a pain in the neck and harder to maintain. I had a feeling that something bad could happen this time.
"The mutants." Jairon said. "If anything bad happens I'll protect you guys."
"But how?" I asked him.
"You'll see." He said. "Besides I'll be at the Strawberry Festival."
I nodded my head as I had to prepare for my job as a security guard which would mean less time to spend with my family, but that the price to pay to protect Rieoncia from attacks. Every year it's always the same thing with Strawberry festival. As I suited up to keep eye on the festival, I saw Smokie come out of my bag. Smokie is my kitten I adopted out of the shelter as she had a sweet personality. She has grey fur and green eyes. I had to feed her and then take her with me. She likes Bobo, Briant's pet chihuahua and both play with each other.
"I saw Smokie." Briant said.
"The same way with Bobo." I said.
"My son wants to walk Smokie around." I said. "I told him she's a cat. Davin said so, I saw a man walking his cat out for a walk."
"Same story with my niece Sabrina." he said. "Anyway we're doing security for today."
"I know." I said. "It stinks."
"I hate being a security guard for the festival." I said.
"We all do." Briant said. "But of course we had to mention about heightening security during the Strawberry Festival to the precinct and our emperor. We're going to have to live with it."
"I much rather spend time with my family than this." Narika said.
We can't help but agree to that. Unfortunately, we did mention the heightened security and guess what they did. We also had to go to work because of it. We had to arm ourselves just in case any mutants are prepared to fight back. I was still feeling the anxiety and anger of what I did to my friend, Mikos. In certain cases, Lida had all rights to hate me for what happened. She does understand why I had to kill her father and couldn't hate me for what I've done. He was infected, but he resisted it for a long time until five days before the festival. She and her father's family did forgive her for what happened, knowing I did the right thing in doing so.
"Artemis." Narika said. "Before Mikos died, he left this on your table for you to read."
I took the note and put it in my pocket as I finished up arming myself. I'll read it later on when the job is done. I headed out with them to begin my watch. I have to suck it up and cast out all of my nervousness and negativity. I have to get my job done for a while. Once on the post the festival began, I had to suck it up during that time.
"Let's just hope for no attacks while it's heightened." Briant said.
I nodded my head, still worried for a good reason. The mutans are outside the protective walls of the city and if at any time, they could jump over that wall and attack us at any time. I kept focus and begin to relax for a bit. As I saw my family members pick at the strawberries. Jairon was trying to help, but due to his gigantic height, he ended up falling. I couldn't help, but laugh at that. It was pretty funny to see him to try that. He soon got up and tried again.
"You found that funny." Briant said. "I suppose you haven't lost your sense of humor."
"Guess not." I said.
I looked over at Jairon as he continues to help out despite his huge height. He's having a lot of fun in doing so that I couldn't help but smile at that. Underneath the way he dresses, he's real sweet and goofy at the same time.
"You like him." Narika said.
"Yes." I said. "I'm not going to lie to you about it. He's real sweet and a lot of fun to be around."
"I know." she said. "What about the problems with Austin?"
"Jairon dealt with him" I said. "Frankly, I was getting sick of my ex-boyfriend coming over uninvited and thought he was manly. I guess if he did survive being throwned, he'd have big dose of reality check."
"Wow." Narika said. "Aren't you a....."
I looked over at her and knew where this was going. It's just like my sisters and my mother when they were first nervous about Jairon when they first met him. He didn't turn out to be a dangerous giant like we all thought when he arrived here from his home planet. Despite his height, he was real friendly, sweet and caring.
"I know he's a giant." I said. "But if look beyond that, he's real sweet and caring."
"How would you know that?" Narika said.
"If you look at my past relationship with Austin." I said. "You'd see how mistreated I was around him."
"He was that bad, Narika." Earl said. "Mikos and I hated him ever since he was in her life. When he left them, Artemis had taken the chance to raise her son properly. When he came back, it's where the trouble started. She wanted nothing more to do with him as he made his choice to leave."
Narika nodded her head, understanding why I had such a hard time with Austin. I don't wish for her to be in a similar position as me in the first place. Besides we need to keep on the look out for any aggressive mutants who will attack us. As time went by, I noticed my son, Davin and Sabrina climbing up a tree from the school bully. He's wearing pants and a t-shirt, while his friend wore a pink dress with strawberries on them with stockings and shoes.
"The school bully's at it again" Briant said.
"I know." I said. "Davin has been in a couple of fights with Donovan before."
"What?" he said. "He has been them before."
I nodded my head as I told him about the times I've been into fights before with the female school bullies. Despite the fact I'm only 5'5 1/2, I'm a acrobatic and skilled fighter. I guess it runs into my son as well as he hates bullies the same way as I do. Narika mentions that it's bad to start fights. I agree, but I don't like seeing someone being picked on by the next person. Davin has been into a couple of fights before with him at school and at the arcade shop. Like me, he's very quick in acrobats, but I wished he wouldn't fight so much.
"Come get us, wart breath." Davin said.
"Davin." Sabrina said, climbing up to the same branch as him.
"I'll get you guys as soon as you come down." Donovan said. "Gimme back my money you both stole from my in can."
"Why?" Davin asked. "Is Mr.I have all rights as a school bully scared of heights? No wonder you won't do the rope climbing during PE. You are too scared of heights and are afraid to fall. You are the pathetic drool cup."
Donovan was angry by that comment. Not only that Davin knew that he had a fear of heights, but he was insulting him about it. As he was going to climb it, his fear of heights kicked in and ran off. After that, I don't think he's ever going to bully my son or any of his friends again. Sabrina looked over at him as he sat down next to her.
"You are pretty brave." she said
"I know." Davin said.
They were sitting there as he counted the money he stole from Donovan's tin can. It wasn't the first time he did that. He always knew where his tin can always was hidden. Then he put the money away in his pocket as they climbed some more on the branches. As they talked about what happened at school and home, the first branch gave way and Davin grabbed Sabrina's hand.
"Davin, I can't....." she said.
"Hold on." Davin said. "I'm not going to let you fall. I won't forgive myself if I did let you go."
He struggled to help pull her up, but he didn't want his friend to fall. He didn't like showing it as he continued holding on to her. Even though he knows they'll fall, he won't let go of her hand. The second branch give way and they end up falling as Jairon looked over. I wanted to jump onto my hoverboard to save my son and his friend. Briant was thinking the exact same thing and we had to watch. He ran towards them and caught them. He held them in his hand without a scratch. We were relieved as the people cheered him.
"I suppose Davn is not scared of heights." Briant said.
"Nope." I said.
"Thank you." Davin said.
Jairon smiled as he held them in his hand, and talked to them. Before he gently lowered them to the ground and watch them run off. Just sving him, made me think more of him. At the same time, I have to keep focus about the security watch on the mutants. I don't want anyone thinking I was going to shirk off my responisbility. For another three hours, things went ok until Derrek looked over to see a couple of mutans on there way to try to jump over the fence.
"Guys." Derrek said. "Look at what I'm seeing."
"What is it." Briant asked.
"Damn it." Narika said.
"The mutants." I said.
We looked over to see a couple of mutants getting ready to try and jump over the wall. Sensing the mutants were going to do it, I ran over and sounded the alarm for the people to get to their homes and barricade their doors. They complied and headed home to do so. Jairon looked over to me as we saw them trying to climb over the wall.
"This doesn't look good." Briant said.
"What do you think?" I said.
I raised my gun and fired a warning shot at them just in case they tried to jump over it. Unfortunately, it didn't deter them and tried to jump again. This time made it over the wall to try killing us. One of them tried to jump towards us. We fired right away as. They died as we continued firing, except one. I climbed down to see the mutant try to lunge at me. He didn't get far as I moved out of the way to see Jairon crush him to death with his black boots. Then he turned over to me and gently scooped me into his hand.
"Jairon." I said.
"It's ok." Jairon said, hugging me.
I nodded my head as I buried my head in his black tank. Given the chances of another mutant attack I would have to prepare in advance once more. For this moment alone, I juat want to be with him alone for a while.
"Thank you." I said.
"You're welcome." Jairon said, smiling.
As I continued to hug him back the best way I could, I felt him walk away from where my friends and fellow officers were. We could tell that he really must feel like Gulliver who iwas a giant to bunch of small humans living in Lilliput. He sat down somewhere away from them because given their nervousness around him, I'd have to introduce them to Jairon soon. Soon he lifted me closer to his face that I nearly lost my balance and and fell off his hand. As I screamed, he caught me once again without me having a scratch. He gently lifted me to his face where I faced his big blue eyes once more.
"Are you ok?" Jairon asked.
"I'm fine." I said. "When you're lifting me, can you please do it a lot slower? I don't want to fall off again."
"I'll try to do so." he said.
He looked over at the moon which was situated way far from us, but in between of Jairon.
"I have to tell you somehting though." He said. "Please don't talk until I'm done."
He finally came out and told me what happened on Druinda during the times of war. The Drunindan government was at war with the seperatist rebellion. He and his family were not on either side, but wanted to be left in peace. His family were one of the few Druindans who retains their youth without aging. Unfortunately though, his neighbors were taken by both that he couldn't stand it anymore. He got in his space craft and left the planet. His family tried to follow him, but were eventually caught by the government. He feared they were dead and wept after he left the planet. As I heard his story, I comforted him the best way I could at my size reassuring him that he wasn't alone.
"Thank you, Artemis." He said. "You really care and youre very capable of showing emotions."
"You're welcome." I said. "You helped me with my problems concerning Austin. I bet if he does survive your throw, he'll feel less manly after that."
"He should." Jairon said, remembering how angry he was to see Austin mistreating me. "Aside my older brother and my father, I grew up with my sisters. I have a lot of respect towards women because of that. If I see any woman mistreated, the guys better have an escape plan. Other wise, they wouldn't want to know what I'll do to them."
"I agree." I said.
I nodded my head as I raised my arms at him as though I wanted to hug. Jairon lowered his chin and I hugged it for a while. Then I let go of his chin and kissed his bottom lip. I looked up at him as he smiled down at me. He returned the kiss to me and didn't stop for a while. He's very sweet and kind for a giant man. However, his kisses were getting me wet.
"Jairon." I said, laughing. "You'll drown me."
Soon after, he stopped and dried me off. I do like it when he does kiss me. Sometimes I just wished that when he kisses me, he tries not to get me wet. I know it's a bit much to ask.
"Sorry." he said. "I tend to do that."
"I know." I said.
I felt more relieved by that he slowly stood up to his full height and headed home for a while. I know I'm supposed to head back to the precinct to file up reports. At the same time, I want to spend time with Jairon and went him. As he headed into his house, he noticed a package on his doorstep and set me down on the table. When he closed the door and set the package next to me.
"What do you think it is?" I asked him.
"We'll find soon." Jairon said.
"I know. I said.
"Opening package." he said.
He opened the package to find a formal blue velvet vest, a blue velvet jacket, a white silk shirt and black silk breeches. They look very nice, but I think he's confused about the whole thing. He looked over it for a while.
"What do you think?" I asked him.
"You'll have to find out yourself." Jairon said, picking up the clothes and the white nylon stockings.
He headed into his room to try the clothes. As he did so, I waited on the table. His shoes wouldn't come for another day. I knew why, they were having a pretty hard time having to build shoes to fit his height. Anyway he came out in his clothes and felt pretty awkward in them.
"What do you think?" Jairon said, revealing the clothes. "I kind of feel awkward in them."
They looked more like the outfits worn in the 18th century, not what we'd wear on normal day unless it's formal. I have to admit the blue velvet jacket does bring out the blue in his eyes.
"Looks nice, Jairon." I said. "It does bring the blue out more."
He scoops me into his hand and gently brings me closer to his face. I could tell he seemed pleased by the comment I made of the outfit. Still he took me to his room where he changed out of his formal attire and into his pajamas pants. Then he took me back to my house for the night, I looked up at him for one night and eventually I started to be scared of what could happen to me and my son so much.
"What's wrong?" Jairon asked.
"I don't know" I said.
I could tell he knew what was bothering me and that I couldn't lie to him about what had happened today with the mutants jumping over the wall to attack us. My friends headed home after the morbid affair of fighting them and then Davin and Sabrina falling offf the tree.
"Well." I said. "I'm just concerned on what could happen if the mutants showed up and try to attack me and my son one day while we're sleeping."
"I won't let it happen." Jairon said.
"I hope so." I said.
"It won't." he said. "I can promise you that."
For now, Jairon kissed me good night and gently set me to the ground. Then he headed back home to go to sleep. I figure I should do the same for him and headed into my house for the night. Besides I can't worry myself too much into having stress. I just can't do that, I have to think about my family and hopefully I won't get to stressed out about it. My son came into my room and hugged me.
"I know you're stressed out." Davin said. "But think about us when you're patrolling."
"Ok." I said.
For the next few days, I was able to get some of my patrolling done without problems and turn in my report of what happened the first day of the Strawberry festival. Soon enough there was another list for the guard duty for the final night of the festival. This one is the ultra formal festival which the men have to wear breeches. Women have to wear spring formal dresses and unfortunately I don't have a dress. I'm not even sure if I want to go to the formal affair. Every year, I've been put on guard duty because I'm the only one who takes this seriously. Each time I was on guard duty, I always dreamed about being at the formal in a nice dress and I danced the night away. With the way I dress, I felt that I'm going to have another straight guard duty and I was getting tired of it. To my surprise, my name isn't on the list.
"What is going on here?" I asked.
"You didn't hear." Briant said. "The commisioner took you off the list because of what went on with Nikita. She wanted to have guard duty for a while."
"What?!" I said.
I couldn't risk Nikita taking over for me. She hasn't had the expirence that I've had in dealing with the mutants. At the same time, she's taking a great risk in letting me have more time with my son. I can't complain about it, but I want Briant to train her properly over Narika. As that passes on, Narika walked over to my desk.
"So are you going to the formal festival?" she asked me.
"I don't know." I said. "I may pass on it, because hair wise I look like a boy."
"You have a son to raise." she said. "I know it's tough that you don't have guard duty for once. Can you at least try for someone's sake?"
"Did you talk to Jairon?" I asked her.
Narika probably did and quite frankly I didn't want to think about where this was going. She did admit she did talk to him about wanting me to go. She apologized about what happened because she knew that was against my wishes. Eventually, I had to make the effort to go and decided to go find a dress. After work, I asked Natalie to go shopping with me for a formal spring dress. For a few minutes, it was like I couldn't find something that I wanted. I tried on a lot of the dresses but it didn't fit my style. I was just about to give up until I saw a dress that was on the rack. It was a mid-length pink square neck dress with light green trims and bows surrounding the bottom hems of the dress. I tried on the dress and it came out perfect for me.
"This is the one that I want." I said.
"Wow." Natalie said.
It was a perfect fit for me to get the dress that I wanted. As soon as I bought the dress, we went out to dinner for the night. It probably felt wierd that I found the perfect dress. At the same time, I'm glad to be doing so knowing that I won't have to patrol for the night.
"So what the story about you and Jairon?" Natalie asked.
"What do you mean?" I said.
I was taken by surprise by the question about me and Jairon. I didn't want to sound rude. That was between us and yet somehow I didn't want to be rude to her. This was my sister and I didn't want to disrespect her at all. I'm just confused for the moment about the whole ordeal. I mean he's just a friend right. Then I finally saw the realisation in Natalie's question. She wanted to know if we were just more than friends.
"I don't know." I said, finally. "I mean I do like him, but......"
"You're confused about the whole thing." Natalie said. "Look I know that you and Austin. Sometimes you just can't turn away from what is in front of you."
That one got my attention as I finished up with my food. Anyway, I admit I do like Jairon, but I don't want to be very clingly on him. I don't know how he feels around me, but soon enough I'll have to find out on my own. After dinner, I went home for the night to put the dress away. I didn't want to think about it a whole lot, but the more I try not to. It comes out more, I don't know if he has a girlfriend or not.
"Control yourself, Artemis." I told myself.
Besides, I'm stressing myself too much about the whole ordeal. I showered and got dress into my pajamas to go to sleep. As I turned off the lights to do so, I couldn't get the thing out of my mind. I screamed myself into a scare when woke up from a nightmare. I headed outside on the porch to see of any mutants have arrived. Jairon looked outside his house and walked over to me about what happened. He kneels down and scoops me into his hand. He was concerned about me for a reason
"Artemis." he said. "What's wrong? I heard you screaming."
"I had a bad nightmare." I said. "I don't...."
He probably looked at me and probably knew about what I was conflicting myself with. I was starting to have feeling for him, but I didn't know whether or not he had a girlfriend back in Druinda. That's the thing with me, I don't know at all. Austin had lied to me saying he's never been in a relationship before. He has before with one of my friends and he wasn't very honest with me. He lifted me closer to his face.
"I had a girlfriend once." Jairon said. "She died when the war began. I guess her reason was that she felt I was immortal and she could die. She told me to find someone that was the same way. I did love her at one point, but it ended too quickly."
"Oh." I said. "Well I should......"
I don't want to tell him that I was developing feelings towards him. I didn't want to hurt him in any way. Maybe I'm the one whose scared of being hurt by him emotionally. I've been there before with Austin. Jairon looked over to me and I revealed my feelings to him. I felt very awkward about it. I mean me in love with giant like him, it made me blush at the whole thing. He lowered me to his chest for a hug.
"I know." Jairon said, hugging me. "I do have feelings for you too. You don't have to hide them from me."
I nodded my head and just let them out on the spot. I hadd a very tough exterior I wanted to keep in the place of all my other feelings. I guess I never had someone peered through my exterior like I do with Jairon. He has the voice and face of an angel. It's those kinds of things that really melts away the cold, tough exterior I've hidden by the public.
"Are you going to the formal festival?" I asked him.
"I may." Jairon said. "Only with you."
"Ok." I said.
"That's good." he said.
I felt Jairon hug me before setting me back on the porch. I was surprised for a minute before he got up and left for the night. After that I headed back to my bedroom and went to sleep, knowing I had that weight lifted off my shoulders. As I woke up from my sleep, I got up to get dresed and eat breakfast. I'm not going to be called in for while so I might as well enjoy myself for a while. I had time to find my shoes or at least buy them for the formal festival.
"It should be a nice day though." I said
I headed out of my house to buy a new pair of shoes before getting dressed later on. This was until I looked into my bag where I bought my dress and noticed clear plastic high-heels. Natalie must have bought those for me from yesterday. As I headed out of my house, I felt the ground tremble as I walked. It would've been easier to use my hoverboard except that I'm getting that repaired.
"Artemis, wait." Jairon said.
"Jairon." I said. "buut........
He scooped me into his hand and planted a kiss on my cheek. This made me blush right away as the neighbors saw it too. Jairon apologized to them about it and headed into his house to talk to me.
"My neighbors saw that." I said.
"I know" Jairon agreed. "I thought I should give you this."
He handed me a small to him jewelery box. It was the right size for us to carry, but for him, it was very doll size for him I took the box and opened it to reveal a gold choker with a big deep pink gem in the center. It had four smaller ones circling around it.
"Wow." I said.
"Do you like it?" He asked me.
"I love it." I said. "Thank you."
I noticed him lowering his finger for me to hug it. I put my arms on it and embraced it as best as I can at my size. I haven't felt this happy since what happened years ago. He was so sweet to me and I'm experiencing it for the first time since Austin left me and Davin. I want to know if he's going to be getting ready soon.
"I will be in a couple of hours." Jairon said.
"Ok." I said. "I had a hard time trying to pick out a decent dress for me to wear. I found one though, but you'll have to wait to see it."
"Probably I won't." he said
He's probably teasing me for a bit. Jairon's allowed to, besides he's real happy to be here and make friends. After all he's been through, he deserves it. I relaxed around him for a while. Then I looked over to where his outfit is hanging at the bottom is his shoes. The stle of them were also from the 18th century.
"I take it they arrived last night." I said.
"They did." Jairon said. "It took a while because the first fitting didn't go too well because I'm 200 feet. They had to readjust the shoes in order for me to fit into it."
Anyway I looked over to him and asked if he wanted to go with me to get my hoverboard. Jairon declined, but he did say he'll come and get me later on. I left his house to go pick up my hoverboard from the shop. I was glad it was fixed on time for me to use it to get home. I have to get ready soon and I don't want to be late about it. As I did some errands for what I needed to do, I kept thinking about what kind of makeup would be good for my face.
"I'll ask Nattie soon." I said.
I left my son at my cousin's house again as she chose not to go to the formal party. My guess is that she doesn't like to go to those kinds of parties and preferred to stay home. I arrived home and took a bath. Then I got ready for the party. Even thought I'm not on guard duty, I still keep a spare gun in handy just in case any mutant attacks us during that time. I managed to get myself in my dress and had to answer the door. I opened the door to let my sister in. Natalie looked over at my unzipped dress. While Liliane and Venetia's gowns were pretty, my older sister's lavander dress is the most elaborate.
"Umm Artemis, do you need help with the zipper?" she asked.
"Please do so." I said.
She helped me with the zipper for my dress and did my make up for me. It wasn't to heavy or light and that is how I like it. As the sun went down, it was almost time for the party and I was ready and nervous at the same time. My chocker neckalace was the final piece to complete the look. I had my gold pearl earing on my ears. Jairon will be so impressed with the look. I got nervous as I felt the finger knock on my door. I got up and put my shoes on. Then I walked out of the house to see Jairon kneeling down in his formal attire that the government gave him. He looked very handsome in them. I noticed he got a few bits of his long black hair trimmed off. He wasn't wearing the blue velvet jacket, but rather a white one.
"Wow you look beautiful" he said.
"Thank you." I said, blushing. "You look gorgeous."
He gently scooped me into his hand and hugged me. Natalie smirked as she got dressed and headed off for the party. We decided to follow her there. I asked about what happened to his blue one. He told me it got torn during the time he was trying to have it set up. Because of it he had to wear a replacement one. As he walked towards it, we noticed a huge table in front of us. Jairon looked over at the table and sat down. I felt a lot comfortable and enjoyed the night talking to the rest of my sisters. Then came the dancing part, I got confused on how it should start because considering that he was huge. He brought his hand next to me.
"It's the closest thing for a dance." he said.
"I know." I said.
It awkward to dance with his hand, but I got through with it. His index and middle finger doubled as feet, his pinky and ring finger as his left arm and his thumb as his right arm. After that it felt good to get that over with.

Despite that, his hand was actually a good dancer. I ended up hugging his pointer finger once. This in turn made Jairon, blush big time, but he lifted his finger and me towards his right hand. Once safely into his hand, I sat down on his palm. Then he stood up to face me and turned away from the crowd as he gently brought me over to his chest and hugged me.
"Thank you." I said.
"You're welcome." Jairon said.
He continued to hug me for a bit before the end of the party. When the formal party ended, many people headed to their houses to go to sleep. We decided to take a walk around Rieonica. When he began walking, the ground starts trembling and I held on tight. I had a feeling he wanted to talk to me more about what happened the other night. I had a feeling there was more he wanted to say, but was unable to do so because we were both tired.
"Artemis." Jairon said.
"Yes." I said, hugging his chest.
I stopped higging his chest and felt him lifting me closer to his face. I looked up to face his big blue eyes amd sat down on his soft, but firm palm.
"You remember when you mentioned about your feelings." he said. "I wanted to let you know that I do care about you and I love you."
"Thank you." I said. "Ummmmm....."
I didn't get a chance to answer as Jairon noticed a couple of mutants trying to attack the humans again. This time, they were smart to stay away from the attacking mutants. He gently put me inside his jacket pocket and proceeded to crush them to their deaths with his white buckled shoes. He didn't have to make an effort of doing so as they turned to dust. The mutans may be our size, but they weren't his size. I guess that's one of the many advantages to being a giant of his stature.
"That should teach them." Jairon said.
When that was over, it did send out a message to the mutants against having future attacks against out race. They cheered for him once again for saving them from another attack. He smiled for a bit and then they headed off to their homes. I peeked out of the pocket and looked up at him.
"Jairon, what happened?" I asked out.
"The mutants." Jairon said. "They arrived here after the party. I just took care of them."
He gently took me out of his jacket and set me back onto his palm to talk to me again. I didn't even get the chance to ask him for a kiss. Probably, I don't need to ask him as he gently lifted me closer to his lips. Jairon knew I wanted a kiss from him and lifted me to his pillow like pink lips. He puckers up and I felt him planting kisses all over me. It was the sweetest thing to end the date. He was such a gentleman and an angel. He breaks the kiss and continues walking around. I was just blushing and happy to be with him.
"Thank you" I said.
"You're Welcome." Jairon said, smiling. "You don't need to ask me for one. I'll give you them anyway."
"I know." I said. "I just wanted to ask though, just in case."
"That's real sweet of you, Artemis." Jairon said
I looked over at Jairon as he continued walking. He was very careful in not crushing my race and any other buildings or structures. We headed home for the night after all this happened. As he walked inside his house with me in his hand, I noticed his house was a lot cleaner than the first time. He probably did a lot of cleaning for this house.
"As you notice the house a lot cleaner than before." Jairon said.
"You cleaned up the place." I said. "It's a lot brighter than before. I like it. I suppose I'll wash my face."
"I'll get what you need then." he said.
Jairon smiled as he gently set me down on the table. He grabs a soda cap and filled in some water. Then he scraped pieces of soap for me to wash my face. All I needed was a towel to dry my face off of the make up. He returned with what I needed to wash my face with. I took the pieces of soap and waited for him to put the water down for me to wash my face.
"I'll get you a towel to dry your face off." Jairon said. I have to change though."
"Ok." I said.
Once he gently set the soda cap down with the water in it, I washed my face off the make up. While he waited for me to finish up washing my face, he changed clothes from his formal attire into his pajamas. He headed out to see me drying my face with my own portable face dryer. He held the nightgown he picked out for me. It was the same one I used from the first night I spent the night with him.
"I had one of my own." I said "I shoud've told you about my portable face cloth."
"I figured that." he said. "Anyway, I picked up the nightgown the other day from the tailor. I had to get it refitted for you."
"Thank you" I said, taking the nightgown.
"Do you need help with your dress?" Jairon asked.
"I'll be fine." I said.
I pulled the dress off with ease as it was easier than trying in vain to reach for my zipper to take it off. Then I took off the brassiere I used for the dress and changed into the nightgown. This time it was a perfect fit unilike the last time.
"Do you like it?" Jairon asked.
"It's a perfect fit" I said. "The first time I worn this, it was a bit baggy."
He knew that too, because when his sister made it for her dolls, neither he nor her didn't anticipate that I'd be wearing it. Of course when he arrved here, neither I nor the rest of the human survivors expected him to be kind and protective. We were expectimg him to be destructive, like the last giant.
"We better head off to bed." Jairon said.
"Ok." I said, grabbing my dress.
He scooped me into his hand and walked into his bedroom where I gently put my dress down on his nightstand. Then he gently lowered me on his hairy, muscular chest. I take it he wanted me to sleep on his chest. But I was afraid he'll toss and turn in his sleep.
"I won't roll over in my sleep." Jairon said.
"Ok." I said, relieved and curled up in his chest hair. "Good night."
"Good night." he said. "So cute."
"Shhhh, Jairon." I said, feeling the blush come onto my face. "You're making me blush."
"Sorry, Artemis." Jairon said.
I got up on his chest and ran rowards his face to kiss him good night. When I arrived, in front of his chin, with the signature "X" shape. I hugged it for a bit before I felt him tilt his face closer. I let go of his chin right away and looked up at his angel face. I moved away from until it was ok for me to kiss his lips. When it was to do so, I proceeded to kiss them and stopped after a minute.
"Was that my good night kiss?" Jairon asked.
"Yes, it is." I told him.
To my surprise, I felt him puck up and returns the kiss while lying down. When that was done, I headed back to his chest and curled up in his chest hair once more. He gently put his hand on me just in case I don't fall if he moves around in his sleep. After that we went to sleep for the night. I always wondered about what kind of life did he live on Druninda, before the war started there. I suppose our kind would be the size of dolls to them in his world. I believed he explained about it before that his life there was normal, except for the fact that he doesn't age. I guess in some ways, me and the rest of the human race are the same thing, except we injected ourselfves with a non painful eternal youth shot. I felt Jairon scoop me into his hand and sat up on his bed.
"Jairon, what is wrong?" I asked him.
He didn't answer me for a bit as he gently set me on the ground and raised what looks like a shrink/growth ray. I didn't recall him having that with me when he first arrived here. He set the dial on growth and fired it at me. I wanted to dodge it, but I just couldn't on time. The beam hit me without knowing it. I didn't know what was going to happen next, but I was going to find out soon.... I'm just finding out right now. I felt myself growing at unexpected rate. I went past his legs, up towards his abs and finally his chest. When I stopped growing I could estimate myself at 190 feet just ten feet shy of Jairon's height. I could look at him face to face as a normal person, not just a giant to his tiny love.
"Oh my." I said. "How?! I'm huge."
"You always wondered what it's like to be my size." Jairon said. "Here's the chance to expierence it."
I nodded my head and walked closer to him. Then I gave him a warm embrace that he's never had before. It felt real wierd to be giant size with him. I'll have to get comfortable with it until then. We headed off into bed with each other. I don't know how everyone in Rieonica will react to me as a giantess. I know the fact that the mutants will be scared to see the new, giant me. I'll take him to my patrol job to help him understand how hard the job is for me and the other officers. By the next morning, I awakened before Jairon did and got out of bed. I was grateful the nightgown grew with me otherwise I wouldn't be comfortable without anything on. I brushed that out of my mind as I grabbed some slippers to put on my feet and walked out of the room. It took the time to notice how everything in his house is mormal size to him and how huge it looked like to me when I was still at my normal size. As I walked over to the kitchen table to sit down, I noticed a small child running towards me and I stopped walking. The child wored a pink shirt and black pants and had auburn hair. This child is a girl.
"Good morning." I gently said to her.
She looked up at me as a giant and got scared right away. I didn't let that bother me because I didn't have any intentions of hurting her. I knelt down to look at her better. She still looked nervous, thinking I was going to hurt her or eat her.
"I promise not to hurt you." I said, quiety.
"Are you sure?" she asked me.
I nodded my head and gently lowered my hand next to her in the hopes she could trust me. My patience was paying off as she came closer to my hand and she tried to climb in. Unfortunately, she had difficulty in doing so. This prompted me to gently lower my pointer finger next to her. She reluctantly wrapped her arms around it and I lifted her into my waiting hand. When I slowly lowered my finger onto my upturned hand. She let go of my finger and I gently lifted her to my face and stood up to my height. As I looked at her, she seemed less scared of me and was saddened.
"What's wrong?" I asked her. "Did I do something wrong?"
She shook her head and cried out her father's name which I recognized as my childhood friend, Mikos. This was Lida, his daughter and her relatives are probably dead too. I held her to my face and felt her hugging my cheek. I gently patted her on the back.
"Everything will be ok, Lida." I said. "You won't be hurt again. Go ahead and cry."
This was her first consolation since the death of her family. After a few minutes, she felt a lot better about the whole thing and faced me with a smile as I gently pulled my hand away to face her. She completely trusted me.
"Thank you, Officer Storm." Lida said.
"You're Welcome." I said.
Jairon walked into the room and noticed me holding Lida into my hand. She recognized me right away when I first met her with Adriane. She didn't recognize him for a while and for a good reason alone. He looked much different that her father. Her father has grey eyes and chestnut bown hair. Jairon has long black hair and blue eyes. He knows that she felt nervous about him for a bit as he lowered his finger to her. He looked at her again very sweet and angelic, which calmed her nervousness.
"I won't hurt you pretty one." Jairon said. "I'm not an evil giant."
Lida nodded her head and wrapped her arms around his huge finger. She hugged his finger and trusted him right away. She called him a giant angel which made him blush. She let go of his finger and smiled up at him.
"Would you like some breakfast?" Jairon asked.
"Sure." Lida and I said.
He headed into the kitchen to cook breakfast for us. Lida completely trusted us and I gently set her down on the table which has a a tiny desk for her to eat on, a chair for her to sit on and tiny silverware for her to use. Jairon's going to work on the cup. Lida sat down comfortably on the chair and smiled up at me. I smiled back at her and told her that even though her family may be gone, but she still has us. She nodded her head and sat there for a few minutes. I really don't trust Mikos' younger brother around her. This stands as a good reason, he's Rieonica resident drunkard and I can't risk him being around her. Besides, he'd wouuld be a terrible influence on Lida. Next, she stood up from her chair. Then she walked towards me and climbed into my hand again.
"Do you want something?" I asked her
"Can you......" Lida stumbled. "maybe a kiss."
"Sure." I said
I lifted her closer to my face and kissed her as best as I could. After what she went through with seeing her family die, she needed comfort and support. I broke the kiss and accidently got her wet from my kiss. I dried her up immediately, that way she doesn't eat breakfast being wet. I gently set her down on the table. and she went back to where she was sitting when Jairon came in with the breakfast. He had to set down the egg bowl, sausages and bacon down. He handed me some orange juice in a regular size cup and a tiny cup of OJ for Lida to drink out of. When he sat down, we began eating right away. She was very comfortable around us. I wondered how the others will see me when I have to walk down to work as a giantess.
"They'll have to find out later on." Jairon said.
"I know." I said.
As we finished breakfast, I stood up and walked into his room to shower. I wanted some time alone time in there before getting dressed. When I was done, I got dressed in a pair of jeans, a white phoenix t-shirt and deep pink vest. I gently picked up the pink dress I worn from last night and placed it into my pocket. My heels went into the same pocket as well. My purse grew last night from the whole thing. My badge, wallet, keys and gun were still there. I took a look inside the house Jairon has built from a few months ago. It was a normal house for a normal sized person, but an observation for a giant.
"Artemis." Jairon said.
"Yes." I said. "About the..."
It was Lida and where she'll stay because the streets were indeed out of the question and the mouse hole she was hiding behind was inadequite. I told him about the house he built for her. It'll be perfect and she'll remain warm in the winter and cool in the summer. He agreed to it and gently set Lida down. She turned around to see the house he built months back.
"What do you think about staying in this house?" Jairon asked. "The mouse hole we saw was very inadequite and improper for you to stay in. This house would be perfect for you, working bathrooms and you have a bedroom of your own."
"I'd like to stay." Lida said.
"Thank you." I said. "If you need anything you can ask for me or Jairon."
"Ok." Lida said.
Jairon and I was relievd that Lida decided to stay with us. I mean with what is going on, she would've been considered an outcast if left on the streets. Basically it's an adoption for her to have a new family to live with and take care of her. I hope Davin wouldn't mind too much having a sister. Which reminds me, I have to leave for my house.
"I have to go." I said.
"Davin?!" Jairon asked.
I nodded my head and put some open toe sandals on my feet. Then I left Jairon's house and walked towards my house. To my surprise many of my neighbors looked pretty nervous seeing me as a giant. When I arrived at my house, I gently sat down on the front lawn. Davin would be the most scared to see his mother almost 40x the size of my normal height. He would have to get used to hugging my fingers, even being held in my hand to talk to him and then..........
"Mama." Davin said, looking up at me on the ground.
He was scared of me at my new size of 190 feet and for a good reason. He would feel that I would accidently eat him alive or hurt him. It's that kind of thinking that could move me to tears. I don't want to see my own son hurt. I love him too much to even let this happen. I gently scooped him into my hand and raised it to my face. Then I extended my fingers to reveal Davin leaning back on my fingers, sitting on my hand. He still looked nervous about me being a giant, but at the same time he know I won't hurt him.
"Mama." he said again. "What happened to you? You're big."
"Jairon grew me last night." I said. "Now I'm a giantess. What happened?"
"I'm scared about this." he said. "Cousin Ginger and her family member were killed by the mutant attacks. Your collegues had to shoot them in the head to avoid another attack."
"When did this happen?" I asked him. "was it early in ......"
Davin nodded his head and wrapped his arms around my face. Ginger is dead, why didn't I even feel it at all? I just felt upset about the whole thing. I felt very nauseated from whole thing and didn't noticed, Jairon gently picking him off my hands and into his.
"I need some time alone." I said, heading back into his house
I didn't want Jairon nor my son to see me crying for Ginger's family. I mean it would be very hard about the whole thing, but I can get through it with my family, my friends and Jairon's help.
"Was it something I said?" Davin asked.
"She's just in shock." Jairon said. "Give her some time to think."
"Jairon." Davin said. "What's wrong with mommy?"
"I think this had something you said." Jairon said. "She's just in shock with the death. All we can do is console her and her family. We should live our lives the best that we could."
I had to find some place quiet for me to cry out. I didn't want to make a scene out of this. Once I headed into the bathroom, I let loose how much of the sadness I felt about Ginger's death. It was shocking the person you were closest to is dead this mornng you didn't realize it. As the tears kept coming down my face, I saw Davin looking up at me.
"Mama." he said.
"Davin." I said.
I scopped him into my hand and held him close to my neck for a hug. I didn't want any of my tears dropping down on him by accident. As I talked about what happened, Davin was being real supportive to me. Lida followed suit and hugged my arm. As they hugged me the best they could, I felt them supporting me through out what happened. I stopped crying and gently scooped up Lida into the same hand Davin was on. When they saw each other they were nervous at first, but he warmed up. Then they hugged my chin for a few minutes and looked up to face me.
"Thank you." I said.
"You're welcome mom." Lida and Davin said.
I planted kisses all over them and smiled. They are the sweetest kids I ever wanted. Jairon smiled and hugged me in his support. It was helping me out so much to deal with the pain of my cousin's death better. The next step is help my family through this too. I broke the kiss on both Davin and Lida. They were wet in their clothes. I blushed and apologized to them for getting them drenched in my kisses. I guess they're not used to being kissed by me as a giantess.
"I suppose you two need a bath." I said.
"Please mom." Davin said.
"We don't want to go out being covered in drool." Lida said. "No offense mom."
"None taken." I said.
I gently set them down and let them have their bath in the sink. Jairon stayed with them as I walked into his room to change shoes. I put on black boots and went out to go to work. I could tell the officers are not going to be used to having me as a giant cop. But I'm not going to let that bother me at all. Sure I may be closer to Jairon's height, but I'm not monster. Hundreds of people were looking up at me in a different way that. It was obvious they weren't used to seeing me as a giant. I noticed one of the officers stopping the hoverboard 50 feet away from my face.
"Artemis." Narika said. "What happened? You're big."
"I'll explain later." I said, gently. "What happened here?"
"Some mutants attacked here this morning." Narika said. "It will increase as it progresses."
"I have a way to stop it." I said. "Jairon isn't the only giant that can help with preventing the attacks."
"We can only hope you're right, Artemis." she said
I can only hope so too as I continued patrolling all around Rieonica. The people could feel the trembles from my walking around. At the same time, I look down to make sure I don't crush anyone by accident. I noticed Jairon following me as well with the kids in his shirt pocket.
"Is patrolling very hard?" Jairon asked.
"It is hard if you were around our size." I said. "It's easier when you're a giant, that way you can see the attacks and prevent deaths from happening."
"There are downsides to being a giant though." Jairon said. "You remember dancing with my hand last night."
I nodded my head as he explained that there were times he wished he was my size for that moment when he could take me in his arms and dance with me. I told him no matter the size difference I loved him anyway. As we continued to patrol, we could hear screaming.
"Mutants?!" Jairon said.
"Be careful." I said.
We headed towards where the screams are. We got closer to see my mother and my older sisters being attacked by mutants outside. It boiled my anger up when this happens. I don't want to lose them at all.
"Get away from them at once." I said.
The mutants hissed at me as they tried to get closer to my family. I raised my foot and crushed two mutants to the ground with my boots. That got the mutants attention as Jairon picked up my mother, Venetia and Liliane into a seperate shirt pocket not too far away from Lida and Davin. I took Selena, Dani and Natalie into my hand before gently sliding them into my vest pocket. Then we turned our attention to the mutants and crush the rest of them to dust. The remaining members escaped out of Rieonica and we'll make sure they don't come back.
"Artemis." Dani said.
"Yes, it's me." I said. "Are you guys all right?"
"We are thanks to you." Natalie said.
"I'm glad." I said. "Jairon and I did it together."
My mother looked up at Jairon and smiled up at him. She gave out her thanks to both of us. I could tell they didn't mind me being bigger to them. It would help out with dealing with the mutants that way I am right now. I still have to take into consideration about my race and be sure that they aren't harmed in the matter during my time as a giantess. I know how hard it was for Jairon to take into consideration about the human race being tinier than him. At the same time, he made sure no one got hurt while he was walking. There were times when I first saw him that night that I wished that I could've called up my precinct and gotten the orders to have him tied down like the Lilliputans did to Gulliver when he first arrived here. I couldn't even think about how he would've reacted to being tied down like a monster. Jairon will hate to be tied down in the matter he doesn't want to be in. I guess my fear has prevented all of that.
"Artemis." Jairon said. "Are you ok?"
"I'm fine." I said. "Are we going back to your house?"
"Soon." he said. "You look distracted."
"I'll tell you later on." I said.
We headed back to his house to relax for a bit. After what has happened today, my mother and my sisters deserved to relax throughout what happened. We gently set them on the table and watch them sit down As Jairon took Dain and Lida out to school, I faced my mother and sisters about what should Ginger's funeral be like.
"It should be mainly family and friends." Selena said.
"Why not with a bunch of strangers?" Natalie asked.
"I don't feel too comfortable aout that." Liliane said. "Besides, if there were a bunch of strangers that went to her funeral that didn't know her. It'll bee to unnerving."
"Especially my ex-boyfriend, Austin." I said
"Didn't Jairon toss him out?" Venetia asked.
I nodded my head as I remembered how much he was angry and unimpressed with the way Austin treated me. Jairon made sure that he learned the full extent of what he did. Nothing was more better than tossing him out of Rieonica. Anyway, we all agreed that there should be no strangers at the funeral. As we continued to hang out with one another, my mother looked up at me.
"Artemis." she said. "Can you pick me up please."
"Sure mom." I said, lowering my hand down next to her.
I felt her and my sisters climb into the palm of my hand. It looks like they were having a hard time because my hand was huge. After they managed to get in, I slowly and gently lifted them to my face. They were only two inches to my frame, due to me as a giant. Still, I was gentle in holding them in my hand while we talked. It was unnerving when Jairon held them in his hand, hwen they met him. This was because they weren't used to having him around, and were scared of him. After that, they got to know him very well.
"Artemis." Liliane asked. "Has Jairon ever asked you to ......?"
I knew where that went right away. The truth is that I didn't know whether or not Jairon was going to marry me or not. We never discussed it before and quite frankly I don't want to scare him off in propsing to me. I want to take this very slowly and see what happens.
"I don't know." I said. "I mean I do have very deep feelings for him. At the same time, we haven't discussed marriage yet. I want to take this as slowly as I can."
I really want him to marry me, but not right now. I want to enjoy my time with him. I love him so much, but I also don't want to scare him away. I'm soo confused for the moment.
"You want to wait." Selena said.
"Yes." I said.
I noticed Jairon coning into the house with Davin and Lida in his left pocket. His right one was filled with my clothes and shoes along with my son's stuff. He wants us to move in with him after what happened. They helped us move in his house. My mother is living with Liliane in the city with her family. Venetia is also married too and lives in a condo with her husband. Danielle has a female partner and is considering adoption. Natalie and Selena are unmarried, but live in nice houses. Davin and Lida are staying with Selena, because of her child expirence. After they left for their houses, I turned around to face Jairon.
"Your sisters asked you about us marrying." he said.
"You knew." I said.
"They asked me about it." he said. "I want to marry you, but I want to wait for that special moment to ask you."
"Ok." I said.
We changed clothes and headed out into the city for the night. I decided to wear my long white dress and silver high heels. Jairon chose to go with the blue velvet jacket, white shirt, blue silk breeches and black buckled shoes. We kissed again as we walked around the city. The people felt the ground tremble as we walked around. We knew they were trying to get used to having a giant couple like us walking around with them.
"Nice night, isn't it?" I said.
"Yes." Jairon said, smiling at me. "You want to head to the park."
"Sure." I said.
We decided to walk to the park for the night. As we arrived we looked towards a young couple standing next to a platform made by trees. The young male was wearing a white suit with a blue tie and white patent shoes. The female had on a blue dress and she was standing while he knelt down. He was going to ask her to marry him. As he was going to pop the question, they looked up at us.

"Oh my." the female said. "Giants."
"Hello." Jairon and I said.
They were nervous around us and we knew why. They thought we're going to hurt them in the matter they didn't like and we didn't want them thinking like that. We reassured them that we don't mean them any harm. It calmed them down and they talked to us. Both of them knew me as Officer Storm, dedicated cop to the 12th precinct. I've helped them out while Jairon was still in space and I was in my normal size.
"Officer Storm." the male said. "But how?"
"My boyfriend grew me." I said.
The tiny couple looked up at us wondering how they've found where they were going to propose at. Despite them not telling anyone that. That is one of the many advantages to being a giant, you can see anything
"We saw you." I said. "Besides we have a better place."
"Really." the male said.
"Would you like to join us for dinner?" Jairon asked
"Sure." They said.
He gently scooped them into his hand and raised him to his jacket pocket. Then he tileted his hand and let them slide town into his pocket. We stood up to our full height and headed towards a secluded spot of the park, away from the people surrounding them. It was perfect because it was quiet and beautiful. I helped him set up the table for us to eat at. Then I pulled out a smaller table in between of us for them to eat at as well. I finished up with the preparations on both tables. I took out the food that Jairon and Liliane made when he grew her to my size, the other day. I look over to him as he was talking to our new friends.
"So how did you get this big, Jairon?" the male asked.
"I was born this way." Jairon said. "I'm from a planet called Druinda. It's a planet like Earth except everything is in proportion of me. I left due to the wars going on there."
"Wow." The female said. "That is scary."
He arrived and gently picked up the tiny male and female out of his pocket. Next, he slowly, but carefully set them down next to the tiny table. Then he sat next to me and we started eating and drinking champagne. We're enjoying ourselves as we ate the dinner prepared. We were stuffed by the time we were done.
"Are you engaged right now, Steven?" I asked.
"Well." Steven said. "I wanted to propse to Briony, before you saw me."
"Ohh." I said. "Sorry.."
"Don't be." Briony said. "Umm about the....."
Steven stood up and proposed to her right away. I was happy for them when Jairon turned around to face me. I wanted to know what is going on with him. I stood up to see him kneeling down. This looks like a nice place to propose, but what he is doing.
"Artemis." Jairon said. "I know you remembered me saying I wanted to wait for that special moment."
"Yes." I said, looking at his blue eyes.
He pulls out a black velvet box from his other pocket and gives it to me. For that moment or two, I just stood there confused a what s going on. Then I opened up the box to see a princess heart cut diamond gold ring.
"It has come." he said. "My dear Artemis, will you marry me?"
"Oh my." I said. "Yes, I would."
He smiles and stands up to put the ring on my ring finger. Then we shared a kiss the same time that our tiny friends did. I felt him break up the kiss and I blushed right away. It was probably the sweetest kiss we shared since he arrived. We smiled and took our tiny friends home to tell their family the news. When we did so, I decided to walk around the city further as Jairon took the stuff home. I was careful in not crushing on anyone below me. Anyway for a while it was all quiet as I continued to patrol. I still have to remember that despite my new height, I'm still a dedicated officer to my race. Now I'm betrothed to Jairon as his fiancee. I don't know what my family will say to it, but I'll have to tell them in the afternoon. I'm sure Lida and Davin would be shocked about the whole thing.
"Artemis." Jairon said. "Are you ok?"
"I'm fine." I said. I was just tinking about how my family will react to all of this."
"I'm sure they'd be on about it." he said.
"I know." I said. "But what about Davin and Lida? I'm sure my son won't take it very well and .........."
"They'll be ok with it." he said.
I nodded my head as we continued walking around for a while longer. I just know Davin won't take it very well because of what is going on with Austin. It'll take a lot of patience to win him over, but we have to try to get him to accept that. We picked him and Lida up from Selena's house and took them home with us. When we walked inside the house, Jairon turned on the lights and locked the door. Then we walked into his room and gently set them down inside the tiny house. After that, we changed clothes into what we're sleeping in and climbed into bed. As we were about to go to sleep, Davin walked up to the table.
"Mama." he said.
"Yes." I said, gently scooping him into my hand.
"Are you and Jairon getting married?" he asked.
"We are" I said.
"I just proposed to her." Jairon said.
This took Davin by surprise as I told him what happened during our time together. At first he was angry for not being informed about it. Then he calmed down about the whole thing and accepted it. I felt him hug me the best way he could in his tiny frame. As much as he was upset about not being informed, he was also happy that Jairon will be his step-father. Lida probably heard about it too, but she went to sleep. I gently broke the hug from him and set him down on the table for him to get some sleep inside the tiny house. I turned to Jairon as I lied down next to him on the same bed.
"Davin is ok with it." I said.
"I know." Jairon said. "Artemis, he needs a father figure. I feel that I could give him that and more. Lida too."
I nodded my head as we kissed each other good night and then went to sleep. It was probably the best time I've had all my life. Even more so, I'll no longer be known as Officer Artemis Storm. I'll be Officer Madirou, Jairon's wife. That's going to be a lot of changes around here. I'm telling my family in the morning about this.
"Artemis." Jairon said.
"Hmmm." I said. "What is it?"
"Well." he said. "I was thinking about us sharing a dual ceremony with our tiny friends."
"Steven and Briony." I said. "We'll have to ask them tomorrow."
A few day later, I asked Jairon to shrink me back to my normal height to go shopping with my sisters and Briony for our wedding dresses. When I returned to my original size, I went shopping with them as Davin and Lida were at school.
"We're so happy for you Artemis." Liliane said.
"Agreed." Veneita said. "We thought you'd be the one to remain single all your life."
"You'd be surprise with me to find the right one." I said.
We arrived at the bridal shop for the dress fittings. As we looked around at the dresses, I felt uneasy about some of the dresses that were there. Some of them didn't fit my style of what I'm used to wearing and it was frustrating. I sat down on the chair pretty frustrated about the whole thing.
"I better find the owner." Natalie said. "I can help you with the dilemma."
"Thank you." I said.
My frustration ended when the wedding dress owner showed up with Natalie and showed me the dress that I wanted. It was a strapless, long and elegant with two gold pearl lines for the bodice. I tried on the outfit and right away I loved it. This was the one I was looking for. Briony found hers with my eldest sisters and we left the wedding shop with our dresses.
"How's Jairon doing?" Selena asked.
"Good." I said. "He and Steven are getting their tuxedo's fitted."
"I know." Briony said.
"Plus." Natalie said. "We got to......"
I knew where this was going big time. Natalie and Selena are the only family member that is currently unmarried. Selena's clock is ticking and Nattie doesn't want to marry. Well that's her choice, but hopefully both of them will marry soon enough. Mom hasn't been too proud of either one of them lately. Selena, she understands why she hasn't married yet. Natalie's excuses are driving her insane. She needs to find a man to love soon, but I don't know yet.
"It's sad." Venetia said.
"You mean Selena and Natalie." Liliane said.
"Yes." Venetia said. "They...."
"It's my choice not to marry." Natalie said.
As they argued, Bri and I moved to a table further away from my arguing sisters. I don't want any involvement in their argument. As we talked about the dual ceremony, I wanted her insight about the whole thing.
"I'd like traditional meets modern." Briony said.
"Really." I said. "I was kinda thinking the same thing but adding a little bit of color into it."
Soon after we headed out to look at the flower arraignments as my sisters continued bickering. We needed to get our minds off the argument between them and walked into the floral shop. Then Finally, Danielle broke her silence and told them to stop it at once.
"Not on our baby sister's big day." she said.
"Yikes." Venetia said.
Soon after, Bri and I went home for the night, leaving my three older sisters to face Danielle. I came home carrying my bag for my wedding dress and Jairon looked over at me while he was setting up for us to eat. Lida and Davin are doing their homework in the tiny house. I felt him grow me back to my 190 foot frame.
"Hi Artemis." Jairon said.
"Hi." I said, putting the bag gently on the ground.
I walked up to him and I started hugging him. To my surprise we stayed like this for a couple of minutes as I told him how my day went with my sisters. It was ok until lunch time when three of my sisters began fighting for no reason. Bri and I couldn't take it and headed elsewhere.
"That's not good." Jairon said. "I hope they work it our soon."
"I hope so too." I said.
We held each other in our embrace for a few minutes, before breaking it. I had to get the kids ready to eat soon because Jairon was cooking. So I headed into our bedroom and knelt down to the house level. Then I gently knocked on the door with my finger. Davin and Lida looked out of the window to face my brown eyes. Then they ran towards the door and open it to find me huge.
"Mama." Davin said.
"Hi sweetie." I said.
I moved my finger away from the do so they can get out of the house. Then I gently lowered my hand next to them. They climbed into my palm right away and I gently lifted them to my face. I slowly and carefully stood up to my full frame. I didn't want to drop both Davin and Lida by mistake. They are my children and I don't think I could ever forgive myself if anything should happen to them. As I headed out of the room with them in tow, Jairon looked over at me as I lowered them to the tiny table. When we started eating, we heard screaming.
"Mama." Davin said.
"I heard it, Davin." I said
"So did I." Jairon said.
I told them to stay here and headed out of the house. I headed towards to the screams and arrived there to see Davin's friend, Sabrina being attacked by the undetected mutant. I raised my boot over to the mutant and crushed him immediately. I scooped her into the palm of my hand and raised her to my face.
"What happened to you?" I asked.
"Well I was playing with a couple of my friends." Sabrina said. "Before I got attacked by the mutant."
I took her into the city and lowered her to the ground of the 12th precinct. I needed her to tell my teammates about what happened. Once she did so, we had to tell our leader about the mutants plans to attack us again. When that was done, the civillians were ordered to remain in their houses at all times. I headed back to my house and told Jairon about what is happening.
"This time the war is on again." Jairon said.
"We've been battling these guys ever since." I said. "Davin and Lida can't be seen by them."
"I know. " Jairon said. "That's why I took them inside the tiny house and had them eat their dinner there."
We headed out of the house with the armed forces of all the precincts, army and millitias. This time around, there was no turning back. We had to rid ourselves of these mutants right away before more bad things happen. We walked up to the protective wall and stepped over it to face them. They followed suit by climbing over the wall. There waited the mutants hissing at us entirely.
"This time." I said. "You will pay for this."
They hissed again as my comrades began opening fire at them at once. Some of them saw the mutants climbing up the wall and were getting killed as a result. Most of them Jairon and I crushed together. More mutants fell due to our stomping on them. As we headed closer to the leader, more of the mutants spring to attack our comrades, leading us to protect them as they rearmed. Finally the leader of the mutants comes out hissing at us.
"This is it." I said.
"No turning back." Jairon said. "It ends here."
The leader hissed and attacked them as they fought him off. He proved to be very fast and nothing they do will deter him. I got fed up with him extremely that he didn't even turn around to see me raise my left boot. I lowered my foot and stomped on him to death. Finally, I could honestly say that the war with the Mutants are over. It wasn't just me that was fed up with them. It was all of us that didn't want to put up with them. They had to go in the end and we won. The civilians cheered for us and a celebration is held. As much as Jairon and I want to celebrate with our comrades, we stayed just to get our medals as rings before going home.
"I would much rather spend time with the kids over that." I said.
"Yes." Jairon said. "And we have to plan our wedding too."
We hwaded back to the house and finished eating our dinner alone. It was better for us to stay with both Davin and Lida. They need us and we're going to be there for them no matter what happens. I headed into the bedroom to see them watching tv. They probably heard about the mission to eradicate the mutant race from this planet for good. This time we made sure no one from our race died unlike the last time.
"Mama." Davin said. "Wow!"
"It's finally over, Dav." I said.
I saw him and Lida come out to hug my fingers. I felt them wrapping their arms around my pointer and middle fingers. I smiled as I gently wiggled my fingers. Then they let go of my fingers and asked me to lower my face. I scooped them into the palm of my hand gently raised them to my face.
"Can we give you a kiss?" Lida asked.
"I don't see why not." I said.
I felt them run closer to me and kissed my gargantuan lips. This was a kiss from them to their giant mother, me. I returned the kiss to them and broke it. Even though I was a giant, I was still the same person and mother. Soon after I lovered them down to the nightstand and they headed off to bed. I decided to change into my nightgown and do the same. Jairon walked in the bedroom to talk about the wedding.
"What is it.?" I asked.
"I got word of my planet about the rebellion forces." Jairon said. "The war is over in Druinda."
"That's good. "I said. "What about your...."
"My family is alive and well." he said. "My closest friends are too. They're living in a sister planet from Druinda. They're coming to Earth soon."
"I'm Glad." I said.
We headed off to bed soon after feeling refreshed about what has happened. Jairon's family turned out to be alive all this time and he was relieved because of it. He thought they died in the civil war in Druinda. It turned out they were alive and well in an another planet. Looks like this wedding is going to have a mix of humans and giants together. As the dual wedding ceremony plans continued.
"What do you think we should do with Steve and Bri?" I asked. "I mean if we stand next to them.."
"We don't want to accidently crush them." Jairon said. "We have to hold them in our hands during the ceremonry."
"It probably will be safer that way." I said. "Does your family...."
"They know." Jairon said. "I told them about you and the wedding."
As the planning continued, Davin and Lida were trying on their respective outfits at Natalie's house. She is a flower girl and Jairon's nephew will be the ring bearer. He has to keep his eyes on our wedding rings and still have to be big enough to see theirs. He got dressed in what he usually wears and heads out to meet his family and his closest friends. I went into our bedroom and changed into a nice summer dress. I want to look presentable as much as I can to them.
"I sure hope they like me." I said.
I headed out of the house to see Jairon giving his family and friends a tour around Rieonica and I was surprised to see my race interacting with his. This was the sweetest moment ever to see them have no apprehension with the giant race. They were already used to having Jairon around that it didn't bother them. His eldest brother, Baichiru, walked up to me. He almost looked like Jairon with except for his short black hair and blue eyes.
"Hello." he said.
"Hi." i said. "You must be Baichiru. I'm Artemis, your brother's fiancee."
"I know." he said. "Jairon told me about you."
"I suppose so." Baichiru said. "He mentions you have a son from an abusing ex."
I nodded my head and told him about how Austin left me and Davin a long time ago. I didn't tell him about Jairon tossing him out of Rieonica the day he attacked me for refusing to let him see our son. He probably knew that judging by the fact that his brother told him about what happened when he tossed him out of Rieonica that day.
"I know." Baichiru said. "I don't think he survived being tossed like that."
"True." I said.
As we continued talking, Davin ran out of the house and came face to face with Jairon's youngest sister, Arelia scoops him into her hand and hugs him. She was blonde like Natalie, but not as ditzy as her. I headed towards her and saw him waving at me in her hand. She doesn't seem to mind him blushing at her and played with him on her hand.
"He's so cute." she said.
"Yes." Jairon told her. "However he is Artemis' son and you may want to...."
"It's ok, Jairon." I said, picking up Lida into my hand as well.
It will be an interesting wedding as I ldecided to leave Lida and Davin with Arelia as I remembered athat Baichiru has a prostestic arm on his right hand and won't be able to pick up anyone without turning his prostestic hand. Besides she likes kids and so does his father. Anyway we needed to talk to Steve and Bri about lettling us hold them in our hands during the wedding ceremony. Standing next to them was risky and we didn't want to crush them. They met us in the park and we had a talk about what is going on.
"What do you think about us standing next to you?" Steve said.
"We don't want to take the risk of crushing you." Jairon said.
"We decided that we should hold both of you in our hand." I said. "It's for your own safety."
"We were thinking about the same thing." Briony said. "You won't....."
"We promise not to move our hand during the ceremony." I said.
The plans continued on throughout the day. It was very hectic for us so far as we had to rehearse for the ceremony which will be a couple of days. It is outside in the stars as we found the tiny minister working on our vows at the same time that our friends were doing so. Anyway once the rehearsals were done, we headed home for the night. Arelia has been playing around with the kids whle we're gone. Therefore we'd have an easier time with the rehearsals.
"What a tiring day." I said.
"I know." Jairon said "But we need to make sure is right."
"Yes." I said.
I look over to see my son, Lida and Arelia watching t.v. for a bit. We decided to take them from her so we can take them to bed. Besides they need to go to get some sleep. When we did so, she showed up in our room.
"I'm really sorry for not putting them to bed sooner." Arelia said.
"I know." I said. "I was used to doing this myself before I met Jairon."
"Single mother." she said.
"Yes." I said.
"The wedding is just stressing us out." Jairon said. "You mean well in helping us with them during the process and we appreciate that."
"You're welcome." Arelia said.
Jairon escorted her out the door so she can return home to their father and brother. As she went home for the night, I turned to face my children who were about to go to bed in the tiny house. I scooped them into my hand and then I gently lowered them onto the pillow in the middle between Jairon and myself.
"What are......" was all Davin said.
"Well." I said. "We wanted to have you sleep in the middle of us. If you get any nightmares we'd know about it."
They nodded their heads and took their places in the middle as Jairon entered the room and took his place on the left side of the bed. He untied his black hair from his ponytail and set the hair tie down next to the tiny house. Then we went to sleep for the night. It worked out for the better as Davin tured up towards me and Lida to Jairon. To keep them warm, I pulled the sheets up closer to them. By the next morning, we had breakfast together in the kitchen.
"Are you nervous about the wedding?" Lida asked.
"A little bit, but I'll go through with it though." I said.
I looked over to Davin and noticed he was quiet about the whole thing. It wasn't that he didn't disapproved of the wedding, but he had something on his mind. I knew what it was and scooped him into my hand. Then I headed into the bedroom to talk to him.
"Davin." I said. "What's wrong?"
He told me what happened when he saw his father again. He still was acting very manly about what happened, even after being tossed. This was while we were practicing the reading of the vows. Baichiru who had enough of Austin took him out of Rieonica and crushed him to death.
"Why didn't you tell us from the start?" I asked him.
"You were busy with the wedding." he said. "I didn't want to call you to do that. I told Baichiru because he could do something about dad. Worse of all he planned to stop the wedding."
"Still you should've told us." I said. "I don't blame you for not interruping the rehearsals, but you could've told us anyway. We could've dealt with him."
Davin nodded his head and promised never to do that again. I headed out of the bedroom with him in my hand. He was glad to have gotten that off his chest and continued talking about the wedding.
Two days later, the big day came. I was nervous as heck. The was so much to do during that time. I had to go with my sisters, Lida, Davin and my mother to the giant bride's chambers. Jairon went to the other side to the giant groom's chambers as it was forbidden to have the groom and bride see each other before the wedding.
"How do you feel, Artemis?" Natalie asked.
"Nervous and excited at the same time." I said.
"You're marrying a great guy." Venetia said.
"Thank you." I said.
Natalie did my make up and Danielle did my my hair. As short as it was, she slicked it back to allow the silver tiara with amethyst gemstones to shine through with. My something old was my amethyst and pearl earrings and necklace. My new was my dress from a while back. The white shoes were borrowed from Natalie and the blue came from mom's bracelet. I got up and put on my dress after the make up was done. It was nerve racking and exciting at the same time.
"How are you doing, Artemis?" My mom asked.
"I'm ok." I said "At the same time, I'm nervous too."
"Don't be. "she said. "No matter what happens we're proud of you for marrying a great guy."
"Thank you, mom." I said
As I continued pacing around in my wedding dress, we heard a knock on the door. Liliane opened the door to see Briony looking up at her. She wanted to talk to me about something.
"Bri." Liliane said, scooping her into her hand. "How are you doing?"
"I"m ok." Briony said. "I just need to talk to Artemis."
I nodded my head as Liliane gently set her down on the make-up stand and told the others to leave. Then she took Davin, mom and Lida out of there as well. My guess is that she wanted to my sisters, my son and mom to mingle with the guests to the wedding. This allowed us some time to talk as I sat down and held my hand next to her. She climbed in and I gently lifted her to my face to talk.
"Are you nervous about the whole thing?" I asked her.
"Very nervous." Briony said. "I mean this is my first time in getting married."
"Me too." I said. "I'm nervous about the whole thing. At the same time, I actually excited about being married. Jairon is a good father figure."
She nodded her head as we talked for a bit. Soon after I slowly got up from my chair and headed out with Briony in my hand. She had a pretty white silhouette dress on and continued sitting on my hand. I helped her lower her veil over her face. Danielle did the same for my veil as my uncle arrived. Finallly, the time comes when the tinies took their seat on top row pews. The giants took the pews on the bottom because of their height. Lida and Diane started it with the passing of the flowers. Then came Jairon's young nephew carrying a pillow with both our rings. Davin's probably hiding out in his pocket. Natalie, Danielle, Venetia and Selena were my bridesmaids and were escorted by Jairon's closest friends. Then Liliane who is my maitron of honor with my soon to be brother-in-law, Baichiru.
"Just breathe and you'll be fine." my uncle said.
"Ok." I said.
I placed her on my shoulder because my uncle needed my hand to escort me to Jairon, who was holding Steven in his hand. We slowly walked down the isle together. He was in the same outfit the night he took me to his celebration party. Except his pants were a silky white. Any anxiety that I've had earlier was disapated and I looked towards him with a smile on his face. Soon after Jairon lifted my veil and I kissed my uncle. Then he took his seat as we face the pastor in the moonlight skies. As the minister continued with the wedding, I smiled up at him as we held our tiny friends without moving around. After that he pronounced us husband and wife. We kissed for a few minutes. Soon after we had a big feast to celebrate our dual wedding.
"Congratulations to Artemis and Jairon." Baichiru said.
"Thank you." I said.
I can't believe I'm now married and that every doubt that my eldest sisters had on me was gone. I imagined getting up one day to think this never happened and that I'd still be a single mother. Then I'd snap my mind back into reality that I'm now Artemis Madirou, Jairon's wife. No matter what happenes now, we can get through anything as a family more.
Fin.
