(First story to post. The first part is short I know! Sorry >.< Feel free to tear my story apart but I do hope you like it xD)
He had been watching the boy for a while now. It wasn't like he was spying, the boy just hadn't seemed to notice him and he had decided it in everyones best interest not to present himself. With his impressive size not many humans took well to introductions. After a couple hours of unsuccessful attempts at bagging a kill, the boy had finally settled down in a small clearing. It sat just a few yards lower then the large cave where he currently rested upon the mountain. He wondered if everything was alright down there. It was going to be a cold night and it didn't seem like a fire was in store for the small human. He watched the fading form take a bundle from beneath a fallen tree and unwrap what appeared to be a light blanket. That definitely wouldn't keep the boy warm but what was he to do? It wasn't like he could just waltz down there and offer him a warmer place to sleep. The only reasonable reaction to seeing someone tower over the very trees was to run. Well in their defense there were a select few who would stay. Ones who took pride in their courage and who also possessed sharp steel blades strong enough to pierce the strongest hide. Placing his left thumb onto the palm of his right hand he absentmindedly rubbed the thin scar that lingered there from his last accouter of the human kind. No, he would stay where he was. Silently observing the boy from within the depths of his cave. Come dawn the boy would wake upon the mountain alone.

The coarse hollering was what initially woke him but it was the raging flames that sent him bolting from his cave. His heart tore at the very seems. Before him violent flames bathed the once tranquil mountain in a vengeful light. Half a dozen men surrounded the defenseless boy. Setting fire to everything within reach, they threw out bitter insults and foul threats to the boy. Even now it was hard to make out the slight figure of the boy, concealed as he was beneath the smoke. Any longer and he doubted that the boy would would walk away unharmed much less with his life. Without another thought to the commotion his vast appearance would produce, he made his way down the mountain side feeling the heat beginning to build. Ahead of him the hollers ceased only to resume with a distinct hint of panic as the arsonists fled the area. His mind hardly registered their departure. He reached beyond the flames to grasp at the huddled figure of the now shuddering boy. Flames licked at his middle causing him to flinch and quickly straighten, yanking the boy abrupt upward in the process. Curiously no sounds echoed along the tress. No screams of terror or even protest escaped the petite human. With a dip of his head he raised the boy level with his cerulean eyes checking for signs of harm only to gasp aloud in alarm. Malnutrition and lasting fatigue were immediately apparent. He shifted the boy onto his curved left hand to inspect him further. Disheveled red hair brushed briefly against the tip of his fingers as the heels of well worn boots scraped along the heel of his hand. Smeared mud across checks and torn clothes nearly masked alabaster skin littered with fresh cuts and burns. The tortures this human must have endured. Hollow violet eyes stared transfixed on his own. Unwavering and piercing. As he turned from the heat of the slowly spreading fire to the safety of the immense cave a tremor shuck the boy doubling the fragile frame in half. His heart beat kicked up a few notches.
"Don't worry. My name is Ianto. I'm here to help you."

Another short post Dx I'm just getting back into really writting.
-gasp- A name! Sorry Satal you know how bad at names I am xP Most of my writing is short enough where I can get away without naming anyone. Hahahahaa! Oh and you can just tell Ol'Kee there "Pfffffft!" for me. xP
