He saved her....^____^ Like a good boy... The chance of that actually happening in open sea is actually rather small...most sharks prefer to stay closer to reefs... I still don't like the thought of being out in open water like that, though...>___< Tis creepy!

She leaned against him with a sniffle and pushed into him, rubbing her cheek against his face with a soft cry. "T-Thank you..." She whimpered and looked up to him with a wet face and her eyes red. "I'm sorry...for getting you in trouble again..."
Dryn smiled softly gently nuzzling her back, "Ah, naw, lil' one...I get muhself into enough trouble as it is. You did nothin wrong." He hugged her close one last time before pulling her away to hold her up in front of his face, "Are you alright? You hurt anyplace?"
She latched onto the one thing in her reach, which was his nose, and sighed. "Silly Dryn...you always worry about me when you were the one bleeding?" She whispered to him, patting the side of his nose.
Dryn opened his mouth to say something, but froze when she suddenly latched onto his nose… “Eh?” He blinked in surprise, blushing a little… “N-now, now, lil’ one…that was’na just muh blood.” He admitted quietly…"I'm okay...just a few lil cuts..."
"E-Eh?" She quickly let go and searched his hands and face, leaning against the bridge of his nose. "W-Where? Where? I'll patch them up for you!"
Dryn smiled, touched and amused by her concern..."Nah, I'll be fine...don't worry about me. I'll survive..." He crossed his eyes slightly to look at her and smiled again, "But thank you for your concern..."
"N-No, no, you want the one to be infected?" She huffed and poked her head in front of one of his eyes. "That huge crate is full of bandages! I can easily fix you up." She sat down in his palm and sighed softly. Her heart was still racing...except it ruined the moment for her stomach to let out a grumble. She blushed a dark red and wrapped an arm around her gut. "...S-Sorry..."
Dryn sighed and rolled his eyes in defeat, "Fine...fine...you win." -___- His look of surrender quickly turned to a smirk when her stomach voiced its hunger, "So, you feelin hungry now?
"Nooooo...." She mumbled innocently and turned her head down to hide her blush. "Why would you think that?" Seria asked, looking at the ocean...she wondered how much fish would take to fill up Dryn.
The water giant gave her a knowing look and gently poked her tummy with a finger, "Because, your belly told me so..." He stated matter o' factly...
She blushed and yelped softly at the poke, pushing his finger away with a light smile. "Okay...okay yes I'm hungry." She said as she tilted her head. "Though I don't know what kind of fish are out there for me to eat...I can't eat it raw..."
"You can't?" He tilted his head in surprise, "But they taste good raw...my mum always told me that was the healthiest way to eat em anyway." He shrugged, "But no worries...I'll figure somethin out. We might even find something for you in the crates I salvaged from your ship last night. Er...are you ready teh go...back in..."there"?" He gave another lopsided smile...
She reflected his smile and stood up, waving a hand. "Mama always told me never to eat it raw because it'll make me sick." She laughed and placed her hands on her hips. "Okay Jaws, lemme see those chompers of yours."
Dryn chuckled at her nickname for him and flashed his fangs in a broad grin, clicking them together a few times before opening wide..."In ya get..."
She laughed lightly and pat one of his fangs as she stepped inside. She again gave his tongue a gentle push and sat down, leaning against his teeth with a sigh. She really needed to find an oxygen tank so she could swim in herself.
Dryn chuckled and returned her push with a gentle nudge of his own with the tip of his tongue before moving it aside as she preferred, closing his mouth and diving deep beneath the waves back towards his home...
She laughed and shimmied over to his tongue and attaching to it. "Slimy but squishy and comfy." She purred and went back to leaning against his teeth.
Dryn blushed slightly when he felt her hug the tip of his tongue...but his orca side purred happily...it was a little known fact that whales enjoyed having their tongues scratched or rubbed (this is actually true X3) It didn't take him long to reach his cavern and he quickly wove his way through the twisting tunnels to the largest orifice which served as his home...
She perked to hear the rumble from the back of the giant's throat after she let go. She laughed and scooted back, scratching the top of his tongue. (XD) "Quite the silly man you are." She teased happily.
Dryn chuckled and slid himself up onto the flat stone plane, so he was sitting on the ledge with his lower half still in the water...He opened his mouth, curling his tongue happily when she continued to rub it..."heeeeeeeeeeeeeeh..."
She laughed and stood up, patting the roof of his mouth. "Okay big guy, I think I'm done having a date with your tongue now." She said as she poked her head out of his mouth. "Though I do know how to control ya now~"
Dryn reached up and gently plucked her from between his jaws and set her in his palm, "Eh...y-yeah...that's kinda...one o muh weaknesses..." He admitted...
She laughed and pat his thumb. "Aw well I think it's a little cute. Is that your animal half showing through? Aw well let's get you patched up before you got out again shall we?" She gestured to the stone floor and the crate on the rock shelf.
"Yeah..it is..." He said quietly with a shy smile, running his fingers through his shaggy mane of black and silver hair...He followed her gesture to the rock shelf and nodded, reaching out to the ledge so she could step off onto it...
She climbed off and walked over to the crate. "Now where are these gashes of yours huh?" She asked as she dug out the stretchy, water proof bandages.
Dryn held up his arms, motioning to several bite marks where the shark had managed to sink its teeth in, but not quite tear anything away..."Oh and here..." He pointed to another small gash on his abdomen. "Are you sure they'll be enough bandages? I don't want teh use em all...what if you need more?"
"Oh PLEASE Dryn! This was a kit for a hundred sailors that hurt themselves constantly." She laughed and gestured him closer. "And I could always find more I'm sure." She sighed and rubbed her head. "Though a boat to follow you around on might be nice."
Dryn grinned, "Aye...but that still won't help you swim underwater." He held up his hand to her again, "How bout you come down here...I can lay down and make it easier for you..."
"But...." She looked at the crate of stuff and smiled gently. "Could you take this down with you? I'm sure I can dive off but carrying a crate I can't do..."
"Certainly..." The giant nodded and picked up the large crate with his other hand while patiently holding the other up for Seria...
She pursed her lips and sighed. "I guess I can't do a lot on my own huh?" She said after a moment, walking over to his hand in defeat and sitting down in his palm. "Thank you though, you're sweet."
Dryn gently set her down on the ground beside him, "Well, I just don'a want you to get hurt..." He said quietly as he slid back into the water before turning around to rest his upperhalf and arms on the stone beside Seria. He was quiet for a couple of moments before hesitantly asking, "You seem to think pretty highly of me..."
"Of course I do." She said as she pat his arm, drying it off with a towel and cleaning up one of the wounds. She snipped off part of the bandaid after unrolling some and sticking it over the wound. "One down." She said moving to the next one on his arm.
Dryn watched in silence while she cleaned and bandaged the small gashes the shark had created...his mind reeled with memories...old memories...it had been so long since anyone had been this kind to him...it felt wonderful...but it also hurt. Deeply.
She gestured him closer when she noticed the last of the cuts out of reach. "Come up a little closer Dryn." She said as she gather some more bandage.
"Hmm?" Dryn looked down, shaken out of his thoughts by her request, "Oh...sorry..." He edged up a little more and leaned down so she could reach...
She was a bit surprised to see him looming over her so easily With a soft blush she walked over to the cut, beginning to clean the wound over her head. She messuring the bandaid and pushing it on before giving his lean belly a few pats. "Okay Dryn, you're all fixed up."
Dryn rolled onto his side to look at her work...He carefully poked at the bandages, "They feel funny..." He mused, "Thank you, Seria." He smiled down at her...
"A-Ah don't poke it too much! I don't want the wounds opening up again." She smiled back at him and leaned against the crate. "You're very welcome Dryn, it was nice working on a man that wasn't crying his eyes out over a little boo-boo."
Dryn raised an eyebrow in question, "Boo-boo?" He gave her a funny look and laughed softly before flopping onto his back and drawing a deep breath...
"Yeah, boo-boos...you haven't heard of them before?" She asked as she walked over to the sails and flopped on top of them, closing her eyes with a sigh. Now this was relaxing.
Dryn shook his head, "Nope...never..."
"Hm...well it's bascially a baby term for cuts or wounds." She rolled over on he r side and closed her eyes. "I'm so tired...."
Dryn sat up partially, propping himself up on his elbows, "Did you want to eat anything before resting?"
"U-Uh...well do you have anything?" She asked, pulling her head up and glancing around. "How many crates do you HAVE?" She gasped when she noticed all the different sized crates.
Dryn laughed weakly and rubbed the back of his neck..."Er......a lot." He slid off the edge and grabbed his satchel from last night, dumping its contents onto the ground beside Seria..."This is what I saved from your ship, think any of them contain food?"
She gasped and watched the huge bag empty out. "Wow..." She walked over to one and looked up to it stacked on another larger one. She sighed and looked over to Dryn with a small smile. "The one up there." She said pointing to the greenish one. "That one should have some sort of food in it."
"This one?" Dryn picked up the one she'd pointed out and gently set it down beside her..."D'you need help opening it?"
She blinked and nodded her head when she saw the huge crate her size. "That would be nice..." She said shakily.
"Right." He picked it back up and held it in front of his face, turning it in his fingers..."Hmmm...eh, how should we do this?" He gently clenched his fist around the crate and squeezed lightly, smirking when it gave a quiet -Crack- and splintered apart..."Hope I didn't damage whatever was inside." He apologized as he set the now cracked and broken crate beside her..
She raised her eyebrows in shock. She was definately glad this big guy was on her side. She searched through the crate and took out a bag of cooked fish, she didn't care if it was cold. She sat it in her lap and opened it, taking out a piece. "Do you want to try a cooked fish?"
Dryn leaned down, sinking further into the water until only his head was out of the water and he rested his chin on the edge of the stone, "eh, I guess..." He shrugged. "Might as well..."
She took out the biggest piece of fish and walked over to him, holding it out. "Open up then." She said with a grin. "You don't have to turn green in the gills over a little cooked muscle."
Dryn gave her a weak smile, "Yes, mum..." He chuckled and opened his mouth...
She smiled and dropped the fish onto his tongue, giving it a pat and his bottom lip a kiss before heading back to her own meat. It was certainly interesting to have a giant that was half orca. But she wasn't complaining, he wasn't eating her.

The orca chewed the fish thoughtfully, rolling the taste around in his mouth a bit before swallowing. "Hmmm...not too bad...better than I thought it would be." He admitted. "But I still prefer mine uncooked and fresh...even live." He flashed his fangs in a playful, but wicked looking grin.
Seria squeaked and gently slapped his nose. "Don't scare me like that!" She laughed as she took another bite of fish from the bag. "Though...I have a question..." She said, rubbing the back of her neck. "Did you eat that shark...?"
"Oi, sorry!" Dryn smirked and lifted his head a little, tenderly rubbing the tip of his nose where she had smacked him. "Er...tha shark?" He looked away, straightening even more..."Y-yeah...I...I did..." He answered and looked down at her with an almost worried expression...waiting for her response...
Seria couldn't say she was surprised at all. "Honestly I...I'm glad." She said with a small smile. "I don't know how you got to me so fast but I'm grateful...it's two times now you’ve saved my butt." She finished off the fish she was eating and wrapped up the bag, putting it back in the crate.
“R-really?...then...you're not mad at me or scared?" His ears perked up hopefully...
She laughed and leaned against the crate. "Well I have to admit seeing you so scary looking was a bit of a surprise." She looked down at the water and then back up at Dryn with a light smile.
The orca laughed sardonically, straightening up all the way and leaning back against the rock wall beside the ledge. "Eya...I've been told that I look pretty scary sometimes." His face grew grim and he looked away. "A lotta people think that, actually..."
“E-eh?" She frowned and pushed off the box to walk over to the orca. She reached out and touched his firm belly with a worried look. "But you saved me, and that's what matters. I still think you're just a push over." She grinned devilishly and turned her head away. "A big man is all."
“Meh..." Dryn shrugged..."Maybe I am...but, there are things about me that you don'a know, lil' one." He reached down and gently stroked the top of her head with a finger, "I've done many things I'm na proud of...but I was at tha time. So very proud." His ears drooped in shame and he looked away again, unable to look at the innocent girl.
W-What?" She asked as she gently grabbed his finger and hugged it. "It couldn't be that bad...right?" She yawned and leaned against his hand. "I can't take it big guy...I have to sleep." She mumbled, using the back of his hand as her bed to lean on.
Dryn smiled softly at the human attached to his hand, "Well if you must sleep...let's pick someplace a bit more comfy, aye?" He chuckled and gently wrapped his other hand around her, picking her up while he carefully laid back in the water, floating on his back and setting Seria on his chest.
Seria didn't bother being picky, she happily made herself comfortable. She snuggled into him, curling up with a yawn. "Mmm...definitely comfyyyy..." She groaned, closing her eyes.
Dryn laughed softly, gently draping one of his webbed hands over Seria like a blanket, "Rest, lil' one..." He sighed and whispered in a voice barely more than a whisper, "But to answer your question about what I've done...yes...it is all that bad."
She reached up and grabbed his thumb, turning on her side to hug it. "I still love ya..." She murmured, falling into deep sleep.
The sensation of the little human clutching his thumb nearly melted his huge heart...he sighed and relaxed...closing his eyes while he tried to get some rest as well...soon falling into a deep, peaceful sleep...

She woke up a few hours later, stretching and yawning. "Uh..." She groaned, unwrapping her arms from his thumb and looking up to the sleeping giant. She blinked a few times before squeezing out from under his hand and walking to his throat, poking one of his gills.
The giant's nose wrinkled and he coughed once in his sleep when she poked his gill before sighing and mumbling something under his breath...still fast asleep...
She raised an eyebrow with a light giggle and crawled onto his chin, kissing his bottom lip and patting it. "Come on big guy, it's time to get up." She said softly.
Dryn crinkled his face up, frowning in his sleep before slowly opening his eyes..."Eh, wh-wha?" he groaned and stretched, opening his mouth in a huge yawn.
Seria squealed and waved her arms. "Dryn!" She yelped before falling into his mouth, grabbing onto his tongue. >< "Hey!" She yelped, slipping for the back of his throat.
Dryn's eye shot wide open in surprise and he gagged, choking on the sudden obstruction in the back of his throat, "ACK!!" He sat up and clutched his throat, "S-Sewia?" He mumbled around her...
Seria squeaked, clutching his tongue. >< "Bad Dryn!" She yelped, patting his tongue. "Almost swallowing me!" She sighed and laid her head on top of his tongue. "What a work out..."
Dryn coughed once more and rolled his eyes...muttering around the human sitting on his tongue..."It wanna my fault oo fell in..."
"I was trying to wake you up." She groaned and quickly found her way to his lips, poking her head out of his mouth. "So what you like me in here?" She teased lightly with a smile.
"Oo taste good..." Dryn teased before opening his mouth wide and sticking his tongue out with Seria still sitting on it, "Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh..." He reached up and gently picked her up by the back of her shirt..."Meh...please don't do that again." He coughed. "I don'a wanna think about what would have happened had I accidentally swallowed in suprise..."
She sighed and squirmed slightly to be hanging by her shirt. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean for it to end up that way but it just turned out with the whole leaning over your mouth thing! I was going to crawl over but...someone prevended me."
Dryn gave her a flat look, "I was sleepin...I did'na know you were sittin on muh chin..." He said, setting her down in his palm..."Are you okay?"
She smiled lightly after whiping off her face. "Well my heart is still going but I'm alright..." She looked over to the crates and then back to the giant. "Do you know what are in all those?"
Dryn looked over at his vast collection of crates, "Eh, no...I don'a know." He smiled at Seria, "Shall we find out?"
Seria pat his palm with a nod. "I'd love to have a look! If I could find a piece of gear like an oxygen tank I can get under water with you." She said proudly.
Dryn's smile broadened, "OOH...would'n that be nice!" He set her down on the stone edge while he quickly gathered up all of the crates and began cracking them open one by one, setting the splintered boxes down beside Seria for her to look through...
She poked her head into one and snorted a bit to find animal skins. She went to the next, more food. The next, ice picking supplies. The next, finally a winner! "Here! This one!" She grunted as she freed one of the oxygen tanks and the goggles. "There, this is what I can use."
Dryn leaned down to better see, "So, that can help you breath under water?"
"Mhm." She pointed to the mouth piece and put it in her mouth and gestured to the fuel gauge. "This shows me how much oxygen is left." She mumbled through the mouth piece. She took it out and fished through the crate before finding flippers. "These help too."
Dryn looked on curiously..."Interestin...Wanna try it out?!" He grinned excitedly...
She laughed and picked up the goggles and put them on. "Sure! Though I obviously don't have the swimming power you do big guy, so you will have to wait up now and again." She smiled and strapped on the tank, walking over to the water's edge and slipping on her flippers and her mouth piece. Seria slipped into the water and swam over to Dryn, patting his chest.
Dryn grinned down at her, "You lool like a lil' seal..." ^____^
She blushed and leaned against him. "Aw come on big guy I'm not that small..." She turned on the oxygen and dived under water, running her hand down his gut to his hip and past his tail.
Dryn twitched slightly as she swam down the length of his body, her small touch tickled...waiting a few moments he sank down, slowly following after her...smiling to himself while he watched her small form swim along...
She closed her eyes, happily feeling the water take her hair and sway behind her. She smiled over to Dryn and swam to his back, latching onto his dorsal fin and giving his back a good rub as if to signal him to swim.
The orca looked back over his shoulder at her and grinned before speeding up, swiming through the twisting tunnels...taking them out into the vast expance of open water...

She held onto him tight with a light laugh. She waited for him to slow before she gestured that she was heading down. She pointed to him and made the motion for eating as if to say "go find something for you to eat" before she swam for a small sunken ship.
Dryn nodded in understanding watching her for a moment before slowly swimming away in search of a school of fish...He had to admit, he was a bit hesitant to just leave her...especially after what had happened the day before with the shark...and what if that...scuba whatever it was failed on her? She would drown... He growled and shook his head, as if to dislodge the worries and quickly made his way up towards the surface where the schools liked to hang out...
Seria swam over to the achor and smiled softly to see the chain. 'Perfect for Dryn~' She thought proudly and unhooked the chain from the boat, squeaking for it to be too heavy for her. She sighed and sat on the rock near the anchor, looking between the top of the chain and the anchor. She couldn't melt it together...
It didn't take long for the orca to locate a large school of herring...He smiled to himself and licked his lips before charging, sending the small fish into a panicked frenzy which made them clump together...also making it easier to swallow them by the mouthfuls...
She left the anchor and swam onto the deck, searching for other things that Dryn could spruce himself up with....not that he wasn't eye candy already. She picked up the steering wheel and tilted her head. Could he play with this?
The school of fish didn't stand a chance and soon only a dozen or so remained... Too lazy to chase down the last few tiny fish, Dryn sighed contentedly and swam back to the ship to see how his little human was faring...
She perked out of the window and smiled to see her giant. She waved a hand and swam over to the chain, gesturing him closer. When he was in view she lifted a few chains and wrapped them around her neck like a necklace. She unwrapped them after a few minutes and offered it to Dryn with an innocent smile.
Dryn grinned. A necklace? What a creative idea... He nodded and gently took the end of the chain from Seria and pulled the anchor up from where it was partially embedded in the sand...He looked it over a moment before wrapping the chain around his neck and linking the end with the ring at the top of the anchor...Pleased, Dryn looked down at Seria and struck a dashing, charming pose...as if to ask, "How's it look?"
She smiled at him joyfully and patting his knee. She held up a finger for him to wait and swam into the boat before bringing out the steering wheel and attempted to roll it on the deck. But having it in water...it didn't do much. She pursed her lips, her head dropping. 'Stupid thing....' she thought.
Dryn smiled at her attempt before reaching out to pick it up, looking at her curiously and holding up the wheel in question...
She blinked, a finger over her chin as she looked around to explain it. She picked up a steel piece, probably something that supported the mast, and dug one word onto the deck. She prayed he could read...even one word, 'toy.'
Dryn's blue/green eyes lit up in delight and he turned the wheel over in his fingers, nodding to Seria in thanks before pointing up towards the surface and starting to swim upwards...
She pushed off the deck to the surface, turning off the oxygen and pulling the mouth piece out. "I was hoping you'd like that stuff." She laughed and tilted her head. "To think that you can wear a heavy anchor as a necklace...
"Heavy?" Dryn tilted his head to the side and chuckled, "Yeah...not so much. Thanks...I love it." He grinned.
She blushed and pursed her lips, giving him a light punch. "Yeah thanks for making me feel weak." She laughed and looked across the ocean. "So...what do you do out here? Are there more of you out here? Oh god...don't tell me they get bigger..." Dryn fell quiet and his short, pointed ears flattened slightly..."Well...Y-yeah...there are...but...." He trailed off and shook his head..."Yes...there are others." He quickly said, but said nothing more. "So...eh...beautiful, eh?" He changed the subject and waved a webbed hand out at the vast open ocean and pure blue cloud dotted sky...
"Sure is...though I'm now afraid to be a few inches from you." She sighed and attached to his chest the best she could. "Besides, you're too cuddley to leave anyway...even with that intimitating achor hanging off her neck." She grinned and looked down to her body. "Maybe I should get one..."
Haha...makes me look tough, don't it?" He growled playfully, "I'm afraid if you got one it'd just drag you down teh tha depths, lil' one..." He mused..."Would'na want that..." He looked around at the open water and then down at the human still attached to his chest. he reached down and scooped her up, cupping his webbed hand so that the water pooled in his palm and left her siting in a large puddle. "Don'a worry...I will keep you close an safe, Seria..." He smiled gently...
