Hi, peoples! Sorry, no update today . Actually, I'm having a major case of writers block. I have no idea where to go after this. I'm not going to stop the story. Actually, I'm asking you, my loyal readers, to give me your ideas on how to write this. It doesn't have to start from where I left off, in fact, you can start form the beginning, if you want. I'll start the story over if I like the idea. Send me your thoughts through PM's or reveiws and I'll post my favorite ones in a poll for you guys to vote on. I guess this is a contest...in a weird sort of way.... Gracious, Me!

Here be the first part of the new story, Suzzanah isn't in this one. She and James have not met yet. So, when Lacey is introduced to the family, it will only be the guys she meets. This chapter will be from her point of view.
I smiled brightly. I loved traveling the streets of my home, Langholm, which is in the United Kingdom. It was the perfect size for a small town girl like myself. I loved how everything was in walking distance and looked like how it would back in colonial times. I'm a major geek. I've done enough research on my town to know that the place hasn't been changed except to add new shops to fit in with more modern times. How weird would it be to still have a carriage stop when nobody rides them here, anymore?
I traveled the sidewalks, my eyes wandering over the buildings. I just couldn't get used to the beauty of it even after my ten years of living here. No matter how many times I walk by these places, the magnificent brick stores and homes will never cease to amaze me with their defined structure. It must've taken real talent to build places like these.
I liked the fact thatIi knew all the twists and turns toward the market by heart. I was able to daydream on my way their with out having to worry about getting lost. It was a wonderful thing for people who tended to zone out a lot, like myself.
I was thinking up ideas for my latest story and painting when I came across the little shack know as the Langholm Market. It wasn't a creative name but it made the store easy to find.
I ran through the parking lot and pushed open the I pushed open the old wooden door and made my way into the market. It was small, like you'd expect it to be from the looks of the outside, but it held aisles and aisles of food and racks of clothing and even some sitting chairs.
I quickly made my way to the food section, my boots echoing my every step. I maneuvered my way around the many aisles, knowing my way around from the previous trips. My grand-mom, or Gram, as my sister and I called her, needed some ingredients for a new recipe she was making. Butter, eggs, milk, and chocolate chips. I easily picked out what I needed and headed over to the cashier/ owner, Jack, someone who was a great friend of mine.
"Good afternoon, mademoiselle Lacey. I trust you are doing well today, no?" Jack said once I approached him, his French accent thick and his mustache swaying with every word.
"Good afternoon, Jack. I am, thank you. How are things with you? Any new rumors going around?"
He laughed and began ringing up my purchases.
"Ah. It's the same, as always. But, there is a piece of gossip going around that some kind of creature lives in the woods. And a rather large one from the sounds of it."
I laughed along with him. Rumors and gossip fly fast in a small place such as this. It wasn't uncommon to hear about some kind of creature roaming the local Tiberous woods. The place was older than all the citizens here. It had been around since the Civil War.
After our laughter came to a stop, I payed Jack, bid my thanks, and headed on my way. At least I didn't spend to long in the shops this time. Generally, once I was done shopping at the market, I would head over to the local craft-store or the bookstore to see what they had in. I just visited yesterday, though, so I got what I needed then. That and I didn't want to freak Gram out to much by staying out to late. She worries easily.
I began my way back to my historic home. It was built back in the time of the Renaissance. Of course, it's had a few renovations since then, like adding in in-door plumbing, but it was in the same excellent shape as it was then.
I twisted my way through all the paths of the small town and arrived back in a matter of minutes. It was rather big compared to the other homes here, standing at three stories, but it was still special nonetheless. I was greeted at the door by my little sister, Sybil.
"Lacey! Welcome back! That didn't take you long at all. I'm amazed. You're normally gone for hours on end. But, today it was only, what, half an hour," she said to me as I made my way into the house. Her black curls, like my own, bouncing with every step she took.
Sybil was only a year younger than me, so she was never my little sister, per-say. It just felt like that to me because I felt so responsible and close to her. I couldn't imagine what I would do if something were to happen to her.
"Yeah, well. I didn't have anything new to check out, today. I went into the stores yesterday," I replied, sticking out my tongue.
I walked my way into the kitchen to find Gram and Gramps.
"Lacey. Welcome back, hon. Here, here. Set your groceries down. I'll take care of 'em in a minute. You just relax," My Gram said upon noticing my entrance.
As much as I had wanted to help, once Gram said no, she meant no. I knew there was no point in arguing with her. I'd lose. So, I made my way back into the living room and sat with my sister. Gramps joined us shortly after. Now, all I could do was wait until Gram finished dinner.

Lacey POV (I'm back with the damn labels ;D)
"Alright, kiddos, dinner's on the table. Come and get it while it's hot!" Gram called out to us in her sing-song voice.
"Kay, girls, whadda ya say we go see what kinda potion your gram fixed up tonight, eh," Gramps got off the couch with a grunt and beckoned us to follow him into the kitchen. He didn't need to tell me twice. I was starving! I don't care what Gram made, I just know I want something to eat.
My Gram was known for being an....experimantel cook. She loved to try out new recipes and my sister, Gramps, and I were her test subjects to see which ones were good and which ones were...not. Thankfully, she was a good chef, so the latter of the two hardly ever came up.
When I walked into the kitchen, I was expecting some kind of outstanding, newly created meal. But, no, not today, much to my disappointment. I really could've gone for something exotic. Instead, Gram made some steamed veggies coated in butter, rice, olive oil, and cheese (AN: my mom makes this for me all the time. It's so tasty!). Not exactly exotic, but still a family favorite.
The three of us took our seats at the family table and began to talk. Dinner was the time when we talked together, as a family, about problems, feelings, and, our favorites, local rumors. In a small town like Langholm, the rumors were as entertaining as they got. It was absolutely hilarious to hear what some of the locals came up with. Gram went first.
"I heard that there was some kind of monster roaming the Tiberous woods in the salon today. The ladies just couldn't stop talking about it. Apparently, one of the local hunters, Adam Jarvas, went into the woods a few nights ago and met up with a giant or something of the sort. Now, I say he was just drunk. You know how the local hunters absolutely love their beer."
We all started to laugh at that. Adam was one of the local drunks/ hunters that lived here. it wasn't uncommon for one of them to be drunk. It was unusual for them to be somber.
"I heard that today, from Jack. Except, he didn't tell me the part with Adam heading into the woods. I wouldn't be surprised if that hunter made up the whole thing. You know how he's always tryin' to be the center of attention," I replied back.
"Guess the rumor must be traveling fast for it to have already reached the gossiping, old, salon, ladies. They normally don't get any peice of info until the gossips died down. And when they finally do hear about it, they won't shut up," Sybil said, grimacing at the last part. She wasn't a fan of the ladies down at the salon, due to a personal experience of being included in one of their rumors. It couldn't have been a fun time for her.
The rest of the meal became abnormally silent, something you almost never hear at my house. None of us were major talkers, but when we had something to say, which was almost always, we could talk forever.
The four of us quickly finished up our meal, did the plates, then went our separate ways for the night. That was what we did in my house. We would spend the eat breakfast together, go our separate ways, eat lunch together, go about doing our ow n thing, come back together for dinner, then we won't see each other till the next morning.
Generally, I went into my room, Gramps watched the local sports game, Gram read her books down in the basement, and my sister would be on the computer or in her room.
I climbed up the winding stairs until I came to the door that I knew as my own. I swung it open, happy to be back in my sanctuary. I couldn't help but think about the latest news about the monster in the woods. It didn't sound like something Adam would usually come up with. His general thing was telling people that he caught some kind of rare animal or how he shot down three bears with one bullet. Adam had never told someone he saw a monster in the woods.
What if it wasn't just a rumor? What if it was real?

Lacey POV
Ugh. Damn curiosity. I just had to get that thought into my brain. Now, I was desperate to see if their was something in those damn woods. In order to do that, I would need to sneak out, and Gram would certainly not be happy with me if I did that.
Now, think, Lacey, think. What could I do to burn this thriving sense of adventure? I could still check the place out, it just didn't have to be now. I could go tomorrow, sometime after breakfast. My family is so used to me running into town randomly, they'll just assume that's why I'm leaving.
It was settled. I would check out those woods tomorrow morning.
Now, what to do in the mean time to kill this urge to jump out the window and start exploring? I looked around my room. It was up in the attic of our house. I loved to look at the stars late at night. The street lights were always dim here. It was perfect. My room had a window toward the side that lead straight to the roof of my house.
I treaded over to the open escape and jumped. My hands touched the sill and I pulled myself up, like I had done many times before. I moved my upper body through the window and dragged out the rest of me with my arms.
I was now in a front row seat to view the stars. Sure, I didn't really know any constellations, but that never mattered to me. I just loved to look at the beauty of the night sky. It always tended to inspire me when I was in a rut. It was one of the few things that had the ability to do that.
And there I sat, just staring at the stars. Allowing their glow to be a portal for my mind to wander through. God, how I loved this feeling, letting my mind roam free like there was nothing wrong. Like every misery in my life ceased to exist.
After plenty of time seemed to pass, I hopped back down through my window, ready to go to sleep. What time was it, anyway? I checked the clock over by my bed. It read "2:00 AM" in big flashy letters. I couldn't believe it! It was only eleven when I went out there. How could I have let so much time pass me by?
I sighed. Whatever the answer may be, it was time for me to head to sleep. If I wanted to have energy to trek through those woods tomorrow, I would need my full eight hours. I changed into my night clothes and plopped myself into bed. I smiled to myself, thinking about what I would find tomorrow.
Shortly after, I drifted to sleep.
......Yeah... this was basically just a filler chapter. The action starts in the next one. ;D

Lacey POV
Sleep was a useless idea. I didn't get a wink of shut-eye. All I did was toss and turn all night. So much for that plan....
So, when morning came, it was a relief. The second the sun peeked out of the night sky, I bounded out of my bed and took my shower. The spray seemed to wash away the anxiety, even if it was only for a half hour. I quickly dried myself off and got dressed, my anxiety returning the second I stepped out of the water.
After I made my bed, I came charging down-down stairs (An:her room is in the attic remember. The second floor is the down stairs to her.), only to remember that no body was up yet. It was far to early. I sighed to myself. I could just make breakfast for the family this morning. By the time I got done, they should all be out of bed.
I was going to make something fancy, like Gram does, but I didn't know where to start. She know how to mix everything together so it will taste perfect. I, unfortunately, didn't get that gene passed down to me. So, I just settled on some eggs, pancakes, and toast.
Just as I got finished cooking the toast, i heard the scrambling footsteps of my family heading downstairs. They must've smelt the food. If there was one thing to get my relatives up in the morning, it was the smell of breakfast being cooked.
"Lacey, hon, I'm amazed. You never cook breakfast. You usually do dinner or lunch, but NEVER breakfast. Who are you and what've you done with my grand-baby?" Gram said teasingly.
"I kidnapped her. I'm an alien, here to live out a normal, human life," I responded back, just as playfully.
The four of us gathered around the table, taking our seats one-by-one. Sometimes, especially today, I wished the meals would move a little bit faster. With all the talking we do, it can take as long as two hours. I really hoped that wasn't the case this time.
Thankfully, it wasn't. None of us had nothing to say. We all just sat there, eating our meal. My anxiousness disappeared a bit, knowing I would get to leave in a little while.
"Here, kiddo, lemme get the dishes. You did enough, making the breakie for us. It was delicious by the way. Now, let me get these," Gramps said.
"Sure. Thanks. I'm gonna head out for a while. I heard they got some new stuff at the book store. I gotta go check it out!" I replied.
I was responded to by a chorus of "Have fun!"s from my family. I grabbed my coat off its hook and headed out the door, glad to finally be able to get into those forests.
I made my way to the Tiberous quickly, thanks to the experience of traveling along this path dozens of times. I loved to visit the forest. It was a great place to get inspiration when I had no idea what I wanted to draw. Let's just say, I stuck a lot.
When I finally hit the outline of the woods, it was like a relief. I would finally get to begin my exploration. I stared my way up the familiar path, ready to start the search.
After hiking for close to two hours, I was pretty sure there was nothing unusual here. All I saw were trees, tress, and more trees... and a few birds. The one thing that I did find unusual happened next. I tripped over a tree root sticking up out of the ground.
I never tripped in these woods. I knew the path to well to allow that to happen. What was worse was when I attempt to stand up. I couldn't. At all.
Great. I was stuck in the woods with a twisted ankle. And nobody knew I was out here. I really should've told someone where I was headed. At least someone would know where to look for me then. How could things possibly get any worse?
I knew how a second later. The ground started to shake.
There. Next chapter done. ........ ;D

Lacey POV
I was in to much pain to be frightened as to what was causing the ground to vibrate like it was. The shaking hurt my already broken ankle. The bobbing up and down from the tremors caused my foot to land straight on the ground each time one of them was over. It hurt. A lot.
After a few minutes, the shakings ended. Thank god. There was only so much more of that I could take. About the same time they stopped, the sky seemed to become darker. That wasn't right. Breakfast was over just about two hours ago. It should only be twelve noon at the latest. The sky shouldn't be blocked put....unless we were having one of our frequent rainstorms that are oh-so common in th U.K.
I lifted my head up, curious as to what was blocking out the bright glow of the sun. I was expecting it to be rain clouds and my imagination was making it something more than it actually was. I was wrong. Above me were two, humongous, green eyes. They were almost the size of me, only a little smaller by an inch or two. I looked around, curious as to who the owner of these giant orbs where.
I stifled back a scream, having it lodging in the back of my throat. There was a giant standing in front of me. An actual giant. They were only supposed to exist in story books or fairy tales. In the real world, that kind of stuff just didn't exist. The giant crawled out from the trees. The fantasy's did give him the credit on his looks. He was absolutely atrocious.
He had black hair that was gelled down over his oval shaped head. It looked so greasy that, if someone were to touch it, you could picture the feel of snake-slime in it. Nasty. His eyes were beady and deceitful. And his chest to the legs .... I don't even want to think about it. He looked like what you would picture some type of sleazy, Italian Mafia man you see in the movies.
"Well, ain't this a surprise. I got out into the woods and wadda I find. A lil' human girl walkin' round. Don't ya know it's dangerous to be alone in the woods, girlie. Aw, well, no matter. Your lose is ma gain, I 'spose. Now, I get to keep ya all to myself," He said speaking up for the first time. His voice was coated in a thick, Italian accent.
The giant snatched my up by the collar of my shirt, bringing my up closer to my face. As if by insinst, my legs started to thrash around, trying to find some way to get free. My brain was telling them it was useless, but they simply wouldn't respond.
I really wish they had. I was brought up in front of the giant man's face. He should've he'd me from a father distance. My legs, still moving about, whacked him straight into the eyes. If it wasn't under the current circumstances, I would've actually been proud of myself. The giant howled in pain, a sound that shook me to my very core.
"Listen, ya little twerp. I was trying to play nice with ya. I might've even let ya go. But, after that lil' performance, there ain't no way you're getting free," he spat out.
With that being said, he dropped me on the ground, causing me more pain to my injured leg, and began to laugh. The giant began to flick me around with his finger, soon to be his entire hand, all the while laughing. It was so loud, I wondered how no one was able to hear it.
I was proven wrong once again. I felt the ground begin to tremble for the second time that day. Only, this time, it was harder and stronger. That meant one thing, another giant or giants was coming. They could either be here to help me, or they could be in alliance with the asshole currently attacking me. I waited frightened to see what my fate held.

I forgot this label at the beginning of the story. There will be some cursing (like you haven't figured that out).
Lacey POV
I sat there in fear, under the tree, anxious for the giant to come.
I should have guessed it was more than one giant this time. The footsteps were to heavy and loud for it to have only been one. When he- or should I say they- walked from out of the trees, I was a bit amazed to see only three standing there. From the sounds of the steps, I might've guessed four of five, maybe even six. But not only three.
My tormentor towering above me seemed to be frozen. Whether it was fright, shock, or a combination of the two, I wasn't sure. I was still deciphering my own emotions at the moment. I wasn't sure whether to be happy that more giants had come and could save me, or to be scared. They could always be working for the giant the had been torturing me. The lighting was dim, having a giant standing over me and all, for me to be able to tell what exactly the newcomers looked like. I could tell, though, that one had red hair, another had brown, and the third one was blonde.
"Antonio, what have you got there, behind your back?" The brown- haired one asked.
Huh. Antonio. That was my tormentors name. I knew he was Italian. He just looked it. The name even proved it. It's just to bad that the name was so nice when he was a hideous man... and not just on the outside, either.
"Nothin', mister Lucas. I ain't got nothin' with me. Honest. You must have me mistaken for someone else, sir," Antonio squeaked out nervously. Obviously he was scared of these guys. Should I be, too? The red-headed one directed his eyes down to me. He mouthed the word "No". Weird......
"Really? Cause, you see, we can see something.... or should I say someone... right behind your back. She looks pretty beat up, too. You wouldn't happen to be the cause of that, would you?" The brown haired one- Lucas, apparently, responded. His tone was laced with venom.
Antonio stuttered, making no distinguishable words come out. He was caught. And he knew it. After a few minutes, he gave up trying to form a coherent sentence and just stared up at the men, worry clearly written on his face. He looked so confident before. It was amazing how just a few moments time...and a couple people....giants.....could change all that. I bit back a smirk and a laugh. Now, I was the one in a safe spot. He couldn't touch me with these three around. Antonio seemed to afraid of them to try and do that.
The blonde one sighed and said, "Just get out of here. We can't exactly punish you for anything, seeing as this was your first offense. But, if we ever see this," He gestured to the scene in front of him, " again, there will be hell to pay. Got it?"
Antonio was to scared to speak. He just took off into the forests. I was now left alone with three giants....who may or may not be good. I know the red headed one said I shouldn't be afraid, but that's what a lot of the villains say in the movies before they kill someone. I could feel my fear spiking up. I moved myself so I was pressed up even further against the tree.
Without the giant in front of me, I could now get a good look at the three men. Actually, they were more like teen boys. The oldest looking one, the blonde, couldn't have been more than twenty. And they were all rather handsome.....No, Lacey, no. You can't be thinking about their looks when you don't even know what they may do to you!
But, it was true, unfortunately. They were handsome. Lucas, the brown haired one, was extremely muscular. His body was the perfect combination of a teenage boy and a weight lifter. He had gray eyes, from what I could see, and his face was sharp and edgy, and chiseled.
The blonde one was just as good looking. He had dull green eyes. His face was a little bit more rounded than the other one's, but still just as handsome. He was muscular, like Lucas, but still looked mall in comparison to him. And the red head... I don't think there were words o this Earth to describe how he looked.
He was like something you would picture a Greek God to look like. He had an amazing, muscular body, and a great, angular features. He was the kind of stud you pictured on the front of a teen girl magazine. But, it wasn't his looks that got my attention. It was his eyes. They were an odd shade of brown.... and extremely captivating.
I was to caught up in my observing to notice that the trio had been moving closer. I was officially scared for my life now.....
I couldn't update yesterday, sorry. I had my winter chorus concert. It was a lot of fun, but I got home late and couldn't write.

..................read............
Lacey Prov
I quickly covered up my mouth. I really didn't want to scream right now. I was to afraid of what else might find me. I had already managed to stumble upon four giants today, I didn't want anything else appearing from out of those tress.
I pressed my back into the tree even futher. The bark was pushed into my skin. As soon as they got close enough, The red-headed one knelt down. I still had to lift my head up to be able to see him clearly.
He smiled softly,"You don't need to be afraid. We -my brothers and I- won't hurt you. Come on out. Don't be scared," He cooed gently.
I ruefully moved myself out from under my tree. It was rather difficult, seeing as my hands were still calmped over my mouth. I was to worried about risking a scream to take them off. I sat on my knees, now hit by the light of day. It was to light, much more-so than I remember. But, I had had four giants blocking the sun from my view......
"Thatta girl. See, nobody's going to hurt you, sweetie," He cooed down to me as soon as he saw me. The other two just smiled.
He lay his hand gently on the ground, an invitation for me to climb on. I looked up at him, nervous. He didn't look at all impatient. He simply just smiled down at me invitingly. I hesitantly climbed on but closed my eyes the second that I did. I was scared of heights.
I soon as I felt the ride come to a stop, I pried my eyes open a little. I was now on top of the little tree I had once been sitting under. I opened my eyes up completely now. It was a beautiful sight to take, if it wasn't under the current circumstance. I moved my hands from mouth and let out a gasp. I had never been this high up before!
I redirected my stare to above me, where I noticed all three of the giants were now sitting down. I pulled my knees up to my chest and lay my head down on them. I moved my gaze around to each of them, waiting to see who would speak next. The blonde one was the one who caught my stare and held it. He was intending to speak next. I nodded my head, encouraging him to go on.
"Please, tell me if this is to personal, but why exactly were you in this forest in the first place? It's not like ti's a common place to go for most citizens."
I'm not like most citizens, I thought to myself.
"It's not personal, don't worry. I was just...exploring. Antonio just, sorta, popped up while I was out here," I explained quietly.
"What exactly were you 'exploring' for?" Lucas questioned.
I shook my head, "It was nothing much. Just some rumor floating around the town. I wanted to check and see if it was true."
The three still looked curious, and ready to ask more questions. But, instead of doing so, the just let the subject drop. We were each left alone with our thoughts.
Why wasn't I more afraid of them, like I had been? It's almost as if my fear just suddenly...disappeared? And why had I told them so much, so soon? I hadn't been intending to Tell anyone where I was going. And, in less then ten minutes after meeting them, I tell these three boys, who are three giants I don't know if I can trust, everything about why I had been here. It just doesn't make sense. Why would I openly tell someone about that?
I had all these questions wandering through my mind, and so much more. The sad thing was, it didn't look like I was going to get an answer anytime soon.
The silent air was finally broken with the red-headed one -I really wish I knew his name- sighed. He scooped me up from the top of the tree and stood up. The three began to walk away, taking me along with them. They seemed to be chatting about something, though I couldn't make out the words. It was surprisingly to low and fast for me to be able to hear. Now, all I could do was wait and see where we were headed.
Yep...all I'm writin' for today. And, if it isn't to much to ask, could you please review if you are reading this story? I just want to know what you guys think, and get some tips to help me out with this story. Thanks!!!

I was just getting to enjoy myself on the comfortable flesh of the giant's hand when I felt the ride suddenly come to a stop. I opened my eyes to see a glorious, and giant, white mansion standing above me. It was like something you would expect to see out of a fairy tale. The one;s where the prince shows you his home for the very first time.
It was absolutely huge, and that wasn't just because giants happened to live here. Even if it was down to a human scale, it would still be the largest home i had ever seen and I have traveled around a lot. The front was entirely marble and you could see that the inside easily held five stories, if not more. The driveway the was now standing under us0-well, them- was separated by a humongous water fountain that was plopped down in the middle. It was about the size of a swimming pool to me. God, how i would love to take a dip in that thing.......
The oldest looking one, the blonde, opened up the doors and the three of them headed inside, taking me along with them. The inside foyer was just as impressive. Paintings and family portraits hung on every inch of the walls. Wooden, carved end tables stood beneath them. It looked like the ones I kept next to my bed and they were made by my ancestors back in the middle ages.
The three of them walked through-out the halls until they came to a stop at a set f ornately designed double doors. They were so high that they even towered over the giants by a good five feet. Once they were pushed open, I saw that we were now in a kitchen. The cabinets completely filled the west wall of the large, square room and a fridge stood to the end of them. Not to mention the fact that there was an eating table placed in the center there...and another giant man was sitting in one of the plush chairs....
Sorry for the short update, but I've been really busy lately. I'll try and get in another chappie tomorrow or the next day. Please, review...
