Other stories aren't dead don't worry- I just wanted to start this one :3 So here goes- Hope you like it! ;D
Monica opened her eyes; she was on an operating table. Bound with numerous belts across her arms and legs, she was helpless. Yet she couldn’t help but wonder, what had happened to their society to turn to this? When had their morality disappeared?
A surgeon walked over, needle in hand, he stated calmly, “For the good of society.” With that he pushed the needle deep into her wrist, and her world soon became darkness.

Monica opened her eyes slowly and wearily. She was in a room with no windows; the only exit seemed to be a solitary door in the right corner of the room. Pulling numerous cords out of her wrist, and pushing the carts aside monitoring her status, she stumbled toward the door. Her vision being very blurry, she had trouble making it to the door. She twisted the knob, it was locked.
“Where am I?” She mumbled to herself.
Turning around she noticed the various needles, and knifes assorted around her bed on numerous carts. Trying her best to remember where she was and what had occurred, Monica could remember nothing.
A feeling deep within her told her that she had to get out of here, no matter what. It was that, and that alone, that kept her motivated to keep moving. Attempting to open the door again, it wouldn’t budge. She looked on the wall next to her and found a touch-pad with numbers on it. She wondered if it had something to do with the door.
A voice within her head whispered, “5 8 4 0.”
She pressed the numbers, andlike magic she could turn the knob. Opening the door slowly, she peered into the hallway. It seemed to hold an endless amount of rooms, locked just as her was.
Stumbling down the hall, the often used the wall for balance. Just as she was about to round the corner of the hallway, she heard voices approaching. She froze unable to move.
It was then that voice whispered in her head, “Run.” With that she began to bolt in the opposite direction down the hall.
“Hey!” A voice yelled from behind her, “What are you doing!”
She turned around to see at least 6 people running after her.
One of the pressed a large red button on the wall. An alarm sounded, the rooms flashing red.
“Attention all staff, we have a breach. I repeat we have a breach.”
Finally reaching the end of the hall, she turned behind her to see the individuals after her had doubled. When she turned to the end of the hall, she was met with more of those horrid people, guns and needles in hand.
“Open the door to you right,” that familiar voice whispered again deep in her thoughts.
She did as told, opened the door, and found herself in yet another hallway. At the far end of the hall, a large metal wall was slowly coming down- blocking her only escape route.
“Make it under there before it closes, if you want to live.”
Listening to the voice without hesitation she ran as fast as her legs could carry her, diving under the metal just before it closed. Quickly getting up, she resumed her escape. At the end of the hall, it separated into four directions.
“Go straight.”
Running straight, she soon found herself running up a long ramp. As she ran she approached a bright light, reaching the end of the hall, the voice whispered to her yet another code. She pressed it quickly, hearing the steps of what sounded like a stampede behind her.
“Don’t let her escape!” A man yelled.
Rushing out, she soon found herself blinded by a great light. Using her arm to shield her eyes from the light for a moment, she continued her getaway. Monica ran into a forest, it seemed to be her only escape route.
She yelped as something pierced her leg. Looking, a strange thing was stuck in it. She pulled it out and continued to run.
“You’re going to pass out- hide.”
Crawling into a small hole under a tree, Monica passed out in seconds.
