@cheza- You can say that again LOL!!! *hugs* Yeah, I know rl comes first... but still, when you update everyday people just get used to it so I figured I'd let you peoples know And I did have fun. I got my hair dyed XD @ezza- Yes. Rosie angry >D thanks so much!!And nicknames don't just rule, they take over the world!! (which made no sense at all XD) @aspiredtoinspire- LOL!! Thanks soo much and it's okay!! Who likes to speak normal?? (not me!!! XD It's fun to talk in gibberish!) And, I've said this a bajillion times, but thanks so much!! Your comments/replies are so sweet and I'm glad to see you all like this story ___________________________________________ Those words caught Rosie completely off guard and stopped her mid-rant. He was the Earth Guardian? Nuh uh. No way. Not possible. They didn't exist!!! Okay, so either I'm dead, gone crazy, or someone's trying to pull a prank on me, she reasoned to herself. What other explanation could there be?? What he said surely wasn't true. It couldn't be. But, she couldn't help but wonder if it was. What if she had been wrong all these years?? What if everyone in her village was right?? That meant... this was the guy she had disrespected. By both destroying his alter and by yelling at him as if there was no tomorrow. Well, if I wasn't dead before... I will be now. This guy's gotta be pissed if he's telling the truth.Rosie wouldn't go down without a fight, though. Sure, he could easily just crush her or step on her, but she could try and run away or jump off his hand again before he got the chance. Or, a new thought popped into her head, apologize. He seemed reasonable. Maybe if he would just hear her out, he would understand that she never meant to do those things. she never mean any disrespect and it was all an accident. But, a part of her mind argued, someone could be pulling a trick on you and waiting for you to admit it. Someone could just be waiting to prove to you that your beliefs were wrong all along. She shoved that thought aside. She didn't know if it was fake or not. If it was- well, great for the person pulling the prank. They got her. She would finally believe. But, if it wasn't, Rosie could be dead in the next ten seconds. And she wasn't ready to die just yet. So, she looked up at those brown eyes- those enormous, dark brown eyes that could make the biggest lake look small. Or, maybe that was just an exaggeration from Rosie's fear. She wasn't all entirely sure- and started to apologize. "I didn't mean any of it, you know. I didn't mean to fall on your alter last night. Or yell. Or any of that," she whispered quietly. She hoped he could hear her. It must be tough to hear someone so small. She probably should've spoken up... But, who exactly was confident when admitting they were wrong? The giant cocked his head to the side, "Sorry?? What do you have to be sorry for??? I know it wasn't your fault with the alter. And you have every right to be upset. You're not at fault here, little one," he said softly. Green eyes widened, "How-" She was cut off again, "My brothers like to play pranks," he answered simply. Well, that doesn't explain much, she thought bitterly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Georgius couldn't help but feel sorry for the small little girl. She must be truly frightened, no matter how hard she tried to hide it. She even went as far to say she was sorry for something she had no control over. It was a natural human response to cover up fear with anger. It's not as if she could control it. He moved his finger to stroke her back again- she looked as if she was close to tears. "What's your name, little one?" he asked to both lighten the mood and change the subject. She stared up at him, her green eyes looked no where near sad. Maybe I had been mistaken when I thought she was upset, Georgius thought. But, she didn't make any move to stop his finger from rubbing her back. Finally, the little redheaded girl answered, "Rosie." He grinned. "Beautiful name. And quite appropriate. I'm Georgius." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rosie was shocked by his response, to say the least. she expected some enraged fit, or an "I told you so." But neither of those came. And, when the giant digit started rubbing her back, she nearly shrieked, but somehow was able to hold it back. How can I be so calm about this? she wandered, I'm sitting in front of a giant who claims he's one of the things I never could've believed in, and I'm acting as if it's everyday life! When he asked for her name... well, she certainly wasn't expecting that. It seemed this giant was doing everything the exact opposite of what story books constantly told. She told him after a minute, what her name was. And he did the same- again, to her surprise. Giants normally didn't have names in story books. And neither did the Guardians... But, it was Georgius. That was fitting, actually. Rosie remember learning that meant earth worker in some language (I looked it up XD) . She just didn't remember which. It was fitting for the self proclaimed Earth Guardian. His dark eyes drifted down to her, breaking her thoughts, "Are you hungry, Rosie?" he asked. Rosie nodded quickly. The last time she had eaten was breakfast this morning. Which, if she remembered correctly, was at least six hours ago. Two and a half hours to watch that hole being dug, another hour for the ceremony, and an hour inside said hole. The rest of the time was spent getting ready for the ceremony and avoiding her parents. She didn't know what she expected, but it wasn't what happened next. Maybe a fridge to pop out of no where. But, instead, his other, gigantic and larger than life hand flicked slightly and a vine literally grew from the ground. Buds sprung out and popped open a second later, revealing fruits of every different type. "Help yourself," he said simply. And she did just that. _______________________________________________ Crappy ending, check. But, I liked the rest of it Thanks again to everyone who commented/replied. I'm glad to see I'm doing a good job with this story. [glow=limegreen,2,300]Cookie[/glow] (using a nickname this time XD)

I like how you have names with a meaning - since I do things like that too XD I also like that he doesn't have some sort of God-complex. Characters like that always annoyed the crap out of me >_>
I'm almost half-hoping the story goes on with her still not believing he's the Earth Guardian... "You're not the Earth Guardian! No way!" "I just grew plants out of nowhere!" "WELL I JUST SAID YOU'RE NOT THE EARTH GUARDIAN"

@ezza- Yes!! attack of the nicknames!! they will rule the world!!! whisperer- thanks Yeah, I wanted the names to mean what they represented, you know. it just... made sense XD and you took the words out of my mouth, with both things. I don't always like the God complex thingy (sometimes it's okay) and I was gonna make Rosie still indenial... she's just to stubborn to believe otherwise... XD @cheza- the magic plant is awesome. Who wouldn't want something like that growing in their backyard?? No more trips to the supermarket.... XDXDXD And thank you very much _________________________________ Georgius was tense, and he was sure the little Rosie could feel that, but he couldn't bring himself to stop being alert. His brothers might stop in at any moment, and that definitely wouldn't be a good thing for the human. Calder- being the gentle water Guardian that he was- was the only one he wouldn't have a problem with. He's had experience with humans, seeing as many of them were drowned in his lakes, rivers, and such, making it his job to save them, and would treat this new one more decently. Calder wasn't to fond of them, seeing as they've given him trouble in the past - specifically by the suicidal ones (No offense to anyone!) who wanted to drown- but he had a knack for being able to tell whether someone had good intentions or not. So, he shouldn't have much of a problem with Rosie. It just might be tough for him to treat her kindly after all of the other humans' he's encountered. Erion... well, he tended to fall in Tytus's shadow. He, like this element of air, was able to be moved and swayed easily. So, whether or not he liked humans, Georgius didn't know. All he knew was that if Tytus hated a human, Erion would, too. Just to please his big brother. And, Tytus was just about as cruel as they got. He was ruthless when it came to any creature, not just humans. That may've had something to do with the fact that he was the Fire Guardian, and therefore had a strong temper and little patience. But, then again, maybe not. Whatever it was that made him hate anything smaller and less powerful than him, it was undoubtedly something terrible and was completely unrelated to his brothers- seeing as Tytus treated his younger siblings very well. So, what would he do if one of them came along?? With Calder, he could just show him. That was obvious. But, what about the other two? Georgius needed a place to his little Rosie- wait, his?? He made a mental note to think about that later- in case either of them came randomly along like they tended to do very often. He looked around his house- or, what he considered his house, since that's where he lived- trying to find a decent spot. Georgius could drop her off into the bedrooms, which was really just a cave with elegant furnishings- he was a Guardian, after all, and had more than his fair share of riches. Or, he could wear a lot of clothes with pockets and quickly dump her when the time came. He would have to figure something out, and soon, because even if his brothers had just visited earlier today- before he found the little girl- that wouldn't hold them off forever. And, it was unknown when the next visit would be. And who would be coming. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rosie was finished, very quickly, with her meal... which was actually just a piece of a giant, red apple- you would think he could make thing sher size if he could make a giant plant pop out of the floor. Even if it was only in his hand, she could still feel the tension that built up in Georgius, the so called Earth Guardian. Maybe he's a wizard, she though to herself, That would explain the plant...But, Rosie still couldn't help but wonder what was causing him to get so tense. He had been happy- well, as happy as you can get when trying to convince someone that they were a harmless giant- just moments ago. She cast her green eyes up on him. "What's the matter?" she asked, trying to make her voice loud enough for the giant to hear her. Georgius looked shocked for a second, as if being shaken out of a trance, before turning those dark brown eyes down to her, "Nothing," he said simply, smiling softly. Rosie stood up, or tried to, seeing as the surface was uneven, and put small hands on her hips. "Something is clearly bugging you. So don't you tell me 'nothing' especially if it concerns me, " she replied, glaring up at him. She was so glad that he was a nicer giant at this point. Rosie was sure that anyone else would've crushed her for talking back. He glanced down at her, surprised, but Georgius answered nonetheless, "My brothers," he sighed, "Not all of them are as... friendly towards humans as I am." That stopped Rosie cold. Oh, crap, she thought, I forgot the other three. Damn it! This guy was nice... but if the others find me... Not. Good. She couldn't say anything in response to that. She didn't have time. In the next instant, a puff of blue smoke entered the room and another giant was standing next to Georgius. Double. Crap.__________________________________ And there chu go XD next post up which was delayed thanks to my dear friend laziness. He comes around a lot... I'm just warning you XD Let me know if this is going to fast, okay guys?? Cause, if it is, I'll edit this post and whatever else to make sure it's good Just as a reference, the brothers from oldest to youngest- since that was brought up a decent amount of times in this thing- is Tytus, Georgius, Calder, and Erion. ^^ Okay! I'm liking this x3 However, in Georgius pov it was getting a tad confusing. Such as which god is which, we know that Tytus is the Fire Guardian and Georgius is Earth but we're not sure what the other two are. Also explain a bit of how the brothers live. Such as, is it just Georgius that lives underground or does the entire family live underground in like some...mansion thingy XD Just a few things that I wanted to point out. ^w^ Can't wait to meet this new giant~

Gah!! bad laziness/business!! Bad!! you keep me from writing!! XD Thanks again (even though i just wrote ten minutes ago) to all of you peoples who commented. They make mah day __________________________________________ Rosie could barely see anything of the giant that just showed up- just that he had light, light hair. Georgius shuffled her so quickly behind his back that she was lucky she could even get that much. But, was he really that worried of whoever it was that just came?? Should Rosie start being scared, too?? The wizard/proclaimed Earth Guardian's voice boomed above her, "Calder," he greeted, his voice sounding nervous to even Rosie and had to be prominent to the new guest, "I didn't expect to see you. Hold on a sec, brother. I just need to put something away." And with that, Rosie could feel herself being jostled on the giant hand, her red hair falling messily over her face and blurring her vision. It was a shame, too, because maybe then she could catch a peek at the person called Calder that just came... She was also very curious about why she wasn't quaking with fear. Rosie was being held by a giant who she knew for all of ten minutes- certainly not enough time to trust him, so why did she?- and then this other giant comes in with this magic act. Rosie didn't even know if he was even as remotely as friendly as Georgius. So, how could she handle it like she was?? Completely calm, and the only thing she was curious about was what the new visitor looked like. In a few more minutes, and what must've been a hundred feet away- to her- from where they were just at, Rosie was gently placed on something soft. More like laid, actually. She pulled herself upright and looked around at the all white surface completely surrounding both sides of her. A pillow. So... she was in a bedroom and on the said bed. But, why?? She stared up at Georgius in wonder, but couldn't believe how absolutely intimidating he looked from all the way down on the bed. He hadn't bothered to bend down, and therefore looked much, much bigger than when Rosie was being held at mid-chest level. It was- in a word- unnerving and she felt far more scared at that moment than even when she first met the said giant towering over her. "I'll be right back, okay," he whispered hurriedly to her that Rosie was lucky she caught a word of it, "My brother is out there and I don't want him to know that a human girl is here so just wait for him to leave and I'll come get you. Until then, stay here." And, with those words, Georgius left, his thundering footsteps echoing throughout the room. Or, what Rosie thought was a room. When his massive form went out of sight, she realized it was more of a furnished cave. A very ornately furnished cave. The bed she was on was in the middle of it all, and was a canopy with golden poles holding up the gold top and was decorated with a gold blanket. The only thing that wasn't gold was the pillow she was on. Right next to it was an end table made of beautifully furnished wood that was so shiny Rosie was afraid it might blind her. Across from that was a wardrobe of similarly designed wood and two dressers next to that. Rosie could tell that the knobs of each of the drawers had a design to them- they weren't just spheres- but she was to far away to see what they were. The wall opposite of that had a mirror. Leading down from the bed were two steps made from full rock that she remembered being jostled on. On the bottom of them was like a little- well, gigantic to her- sitting room with two couches and a love seat that were totally red except for the gold bordering and gold swirl pattern that she could see on the back of it. And then another archway with a door attached to it that led... somewhere... and was next to the sitting room. About a dozen plants were all scattered around the room in addition to everything already there. Rosie couldn't help but marvel at the splendor of the room. She never knew a cave could look so... so... antique like and beautiful. But, she didn't waste another second. The giant was gone and she could find someway to actually escape this place. Where she would go, she didn't care, but she might make it out. Treading to the edge of the bed that wasn't to far from where she was placed, Rosie gripped onto the edge of the blanket and slid herself down the lining of it until she reached the sides of the bed. She let go of the soft fabric and sat there for a second, wondering how she was going to get from here to the floor. It was a good fifteen or twenty foot drop. Maybe... she could climb down the legs of the bed. Rosie ducked down, just in case anyone came walking in, in the curve of the sides and crawled over to the ends of them, which was where the legs began. She could just climb down and run as fast as she could out of here. But, it was easier said than done. Getting over the sides was one thing- and not a very easy one, seeing as they reached a little over halfway of her body so she really had to stretch to get one leg over- but it was easy compared to climbing down the legs. The were steep, and not nearly as easy to hold onto as the blanket had been. But, somehow, Rosie made it. She wasn't sure how she had, but it she did. Her fingers and arms were completely scratched up from the rough metal, jagged pieces that randomly stuck out. Blood even started squirting from them, though it was light and didn't require immediate attention. Rosie looked around, hoping to find some sort of exit from this place but it didn't seem as if there was one... unless that door lead out of here. But, it was a good couple hours away from her. She would just have to try, though. She couldn't stay with this giant, not when she had a chance to escape. _________________________________________________ Annnd, there chu go XD sorry if the escape scene wasn't amazing or even good... but I've never written one before so I haven't had lots of practice. But, meh, I tried [glow=orange,2,300]Cookie XD[/glow]

I knew Calder would be the one showing up! I looked up the name, and it means "water", according to some random baby-name website i used... And blue is normally associated with water. I'm like a genius or something :I
I like how, even though Calder is the nice one, he isn't showing her off just yet. Good to let her get used to things before meeting even more new giants! Like I said before, it's a great story so far :D
