whisperer- XD I'm glad you figured it out. you are a genius... or something XD names help a lot, don't they.... that's why i love to pick out ones with the same meanings and stuffs and that's also why i picked the color blue for the smoke XD
@ezza- yes, she is she's a sneaky little thing, ain't she?? XD I'm not sure how he will either... and that's not a good thing seeing as I'm the author XD thanks so much
@cheza- I'm glad you think it's good I wasn't sure, but thanks! For the compliment and the idea!!! I'm gonna steal it now XD it just won't be in this part.... ____________________________________________ Georgius wasn't sure what the little girl would do by herself, but he had to trust her. Right now, he had to deal with Calder, his younger brother- but, not to much younger. Only a few centuries or so. It was weird to even have the thought of the two of them being related, let alone siblings, cross anyone's mind, sometimes even to the two of them. The giant males looked nothing alike. Where Georgius had dark, dark brown hair that looked nearly black, Calder had light hair that was almost on the verge of white. Georgius had equally dark eyes; Calder had a sky blue shade. Georgius was tanned, which was shocking because he rarely got out of his underground home, and his younger brother had light enough skin to be considered albino. And, because he was older, the Earth Guardian was also a bit taller than the Water Guardian. Not significantly so- to them, at least- but to someone as small as Rosie, the difference would be prominent. The only thing the two might actually have in common would be the body type they had. It wasn't necessarily muscular, but you couldn't call either of them lanky. Calder grinned once he saw his brother, and cocked a pale eyebrow up in amusement, "Are you done putting that thing away, brother?? Or do I need to wait a bit longer?" His tone might've been sarcastic, but the smirk on his face showed the older one his brother was kidding around. Georgius laughed, "It's fine, Calder. It was just some sacrifices from the humans again that I needed to put in my room. Nothing major." Technically, that wasn't a lie. Rosie had been a buried sacrifice from the outside world. She was just a person rather than an inanimate object. Calder's smirk turned into a grin, "They just don't know when to leave you alone, do they? You would think that those few villages that still believe in us would've moved on like the rest of the world." "You would think so. But, I doubt that will happen anytime soon, little brother. So, if I may ask and get off topic, what brings you here today? You just visited earlier." The pale giant sighed lightly, "Tytus sent me here. Some important business to take care of, apparently and he needs all four of us to take care of it. He went to get Erion and I but was to lazy to get you." "Is it me, or does he do something like this every week?? And you shouldn't be shocked that he got 'lazy'," Georgius made air quotes around the last word, "He and I never got along. I doubt he wants to see me any more than necessary." "True, true. But, anyway, some girl was buried alive for a sacrifice on your behalf, which would be fine if it was a normal one. You see, Erion was visiting the human world secretly, and attended some type of ceremony and lost control of his powers when the humans were giving out sacrifices. He blew the little thing onto the alter with a gust of wind and she was punished for it. Not only has none of us seen a trace of this girl since that took place a day ago, but Tytus fears that something bad will happen to the four of us if she isn't captured immediately." Georgius froze up. That's Rosie that they're talking about. She was just buried this morning and now she's public enemy number one. It's a good thing I hid her when I did. Calder may like humans, but that doesn't mean he won't turn over one he fears will be trouble for all of us, he though worriedly to himself. On the outside, though, he somehow managed to keep his composition, "Fair enough. I'll come when I'm needed. But, does Tytus blame Erion for any of this?" Calder snorted, "Are you joking?? Never. The day Tytus blames our youngest brother for a damned thing is the day I drown." The two both laughed at that. Calder lived in what was literally an underwater palace. He swam with fish on a daily basis and never came up on land for anything. Minus visits like these, of course. The day he drowned would be a sign that the world was ending. "While you're here, would you like something to drink?" Georgius really wished he didn't have to ask that, he wanted to get his brother out of here so he could get to the human waiting in his bedroom. But, it was Calder- his younger brother- and it would be rude and unusual for Georgius to not be hospitable toward him. "Actually, no. I best be on my way now- Erion's expecting me soon. But, before I go, I have one question for you." Georgius looked at his brother curiously. What could he possible have a question about?? He was a Guardian, and therefore knew a lot of things that most creatures on the planet didn't, "Okay, then, ask away." Calder grinned slightly and crossed his arms over his chest, "Where are you keeping that human?" ________________________________ Lesson of this: never underestimate the little brother. He'll prove you wrong XD [glow=pink,2,300] Cookie XD[/glow]

@cheza- thanks for letting me steal it XD and blabbering is awesome when you've got something to talk about Thanks so much I know, it's super important to have different personalities because otherwise it's just... boring... you don't want to read a story where everyone is exactly the same.
natalie- Thanks Glad you like it so far
@ezza- yes she is XD Thanks!! Again, stupid laziness prevented me from putting this up earlier... _____________________________________ Georgius stared at his brother in both bewilderment and amazement. Bewilderment because Calder somehow knew about his hiding Rosie- and he had only met her a few moments ago, so it goes to show how good he was at keeping a secret. Amazement for the exact same reason. "W-What??" he stuttered out, eyes growing slightly wider. The Earth Guardian was trying his hardest to keep a solid composure on the outside, no matter how shaken up he was inside. "You heard me, brother. Where. Are. You. Keeping. Her??" Calder repeated, growing the slightest bit impatient. "And what makes you think I'm keeping anyone??" Georgius challenged, raising an eyebrow. "It was to obvious actually. First; it was to you she was sacrificed for. Where else could she have gotten to besides here?? Second; about the time she was declared missing by Tytus was around the same time she would've landed here. And third; you became skittish the second I brought her up. I'm just surprised I'm the first one to figure it out." Georgius couldn't make a response to that. His younger brother was absolutely right. There was no way he could argue. He didn't need to think of something to say, either. Calder barely paused after he finished speaking. After just enough time to catch his breathe, he started up again, "But, you should be glad I'm the first one. If Tytus found out, he would kill her without a second thought unless he decided to keep her to torture. If Erion found out, he would tell Tytus unless you bribed him with some time of candy. And even that wouldn't hold him off forever. So, I'll ask you again. Where is she?" Georgius stared at his brother, not sure how to respond. Should he tell where exactly Rosie was?? Or just make up an excuse about how she didn't want to meet him?? Well, the latter wouldn't exactly be an excuse... Considering how the human and the Earth guardian met moments ago and she was still wary of him, Georgius seriously doubted she wanted to meet another giant, no matter how much smaller Calder was. It had to be unnerving for her. And that was his decision. Rosie wouldn't be introduced to any other giants until she was comfortable around him. "Calder," he started, unsure how to phrase this, " you see, she just met me... and she's not exactly..... comfortable around me yet. So, I doubt she'd be all to happy around anyone else right about now...." Georgius trailed off, not sure where to go from there. Calder, instead of being disappointed or angry like his brother had expected, laughed, "I figured as much! The poor little tyke met you ten minutes ago before I came along. I'll give her some time to adjust and then I'll stop by again to meet her. Only, then," his voice became a bit angrier, "I won't take no for an answer. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must be going." And, without another word, a puff of blue smoke filled the room. When it cleared away, Calder was no where to be seen. If it wasn't for the fact Georgius had been there when his brother had arrived, or the thin traces of blue coloring in the air, he would've never been able to tell that anyone had been here. And, now to go get that little girl from out of my bedroom, he thought to himself. _____________________________ Rosie wasn't even remotely close to the door, or even down the stairs for that matter, before she felt- and heard- the earth quake footsteps echo in the room. Crap, not now!! I gotta hide!! she thought in despair, and quickly scanned the room as she did so. Jackpot!! she nearly shouted out loud when she saw a slight opening behind the wardrobe she had just stopped in front of. It was a small opening, even for her, and all the way in the back, but she just had to run quickly and she would get there okay. Which Rosie did. The only problem was fitting behind there. It was narrow, and she would have to really squeeze into it. Rosie took a deep breath and pushed herself through the tight fit and had to bit her lip to keep from screaming when she ripped her dress and cut her stomach on one of the lose, wooden edges. Blood started to ooze out slowly, and Rosie tried to stop the flow with her hand. She let our her breath once she was between the wall and the wardrobe, and still kept her arm over her stomach. Ouch! That freaking hurt!! Who knew that one little piece that would be the size of a tooth pick to him could cause so much pain! She also didn't know that her own blood would be the cause of the demise of her escape plan. _________________________________ I could write more to this... but I won't I'm going to leave you peoples in suspense as much as I can XD [glow=orange,2,300]Cookie XD[/glow]

D: Oh ouch poor Rosie, though I must add that getting a cut on the stomach or neck is the hardest to close up along with stopping the flow of blood D: I hope that Georgius knows some amazing first aid! x3 Though I am still curious about his brother ;3 However I have only one complaint, Georgius's brother gives up a tad too easy about seeing her >D Is he hiding something?

Grrr, I had this all typed up, and then the site reseted it or something when I was about to post it... *sighs* so, I'm not to happy about rewriting this.... but, you guys deserve it for waiting for me to end the cliff hanger. It just may take me longer to write it this time because I had the attention span to write it once XD
And thanks to Cheza for giving me the idea about blood. _________________________________
Georgius wasn't sure if he would find that little human girl. She could be anywhere in his room by now. He was sure she didn't leave the space, seeing as he wasn't gone to long and Rosie didn't have a lot of time to run. But, there were plenty of small areas in his bedroom she could have snuck into while waiting to leave.
That, of course, was before the scent of blood hit him.
As a Guardian, Georgius and his brothers had more advanced senses than most creatures. Not all of them were stronger though. Each Guardian had it's own sense that was. Tytus had sight, Calder had touch, Erion had hearing, and Georgius had smell. Which meant, that his nose could pick up things that most other creatures couldn't even dream of.
At first, he thought this was stupid. Who wants a stronger sense of smell?? But, at that point, he didn't have a tiny human with him.
Georgius checked himself over, just to make sure that it wasn't him bleeding, and concluded it had to be Rosie when he didn't have a scratch. So, now, he had to find her. She was bleeding- possibly to death- and lost in his room. Not a good combination. But, he didn't have the time to scour the ground to search, which is why Georgius considered himself blessed to have the abilities of the Earth Guardian.
He was able to lift up the floor of his room in order to search for her. Only, he did it in sections. Georgius focused on one part of the floor, and moved his hand up-wards, which literally pulled that part out of the ground. He checked every section, sniffing it for blood, and put it back into the floor when it came up negative.
Then, he lifted up a part of his floor that contained his wardrobe. The copper scent his nose like a freight train. Georgius quickly moved that piece of furniture off the ground and sure enough, there was Rosie, sitting-well, laying- on the floor of the platform.
Again, happy that he had the ability to do this, Georgius moved the platform of earth through the air and brought it next to him.
Blood was gushing out of the little human's stomach, and she looked faint. So faint, that she couldn't even muster up an angry glare at him.
Crap, Georgius thought to himself, How am I going to fix this?? She's so small that it would take a miracle for me to patch up that wound... _____________________________
Calder couldn't wait to get out of his brother's home. He was lucky Georgius hadn't smelt the fear on him. That damned, sensitive nose. He couldn't have had an advanced sense of taste, no. It had to be a nose so strong it could literally smell what you were feeling.
Calder also pushed boundaries when he asked to see that human. But, he had to see if it was true, that Georgius really did have one with him. Even from underwater, he could sense his older brother move the ground apart on his side of the Earth, and that only meant one thing- a human was trapped in there.
Actually, Calder pushed boundaries by just popping into his brother's home and lying about why. Guilt welled up in his stomach when he thought of it. He knew he scared his older brother when he said Tytus was out searching for the girl he was hiding. But, it wasn't totally a lie, what he said.
It was true that Tytus was searching for a human that could cause trouble to the four brothers. It just wasn't Georgius's human that he was actually after. Oh, no. The Fire Guardian found no threat with the Earth Guardian's human around. In fact, he had no idea that Georgius was even stashing one.
In truth, it was Calder's own human that they were searching for, but didn't know he had. And he wasn't willing to give him up. _________________________________
And, there you have it. This would've been up earlier if I hadn't been so busy, and if I could've submitted it the first time.... but, it's actually a bit longer now... so that's not a bad thing XD

@cheza-yeppers, that's his secret how he stays underwater will eventually be told... just not right now XD XD Aw, thanks XD XD XD COOKIE!!!!!! *glomps*
@ezza- yes he does >D thanks And double thanks!! glad to hear that!!!
manynames- yeppers, it's guy XD________________________________________________ There had to be some way to stop the bleeding. There just had to be. Even if Georigus could just bandage it up, that would certainly be an improvement. But, how would he even do that?? What type of bandage would be small enough for this girl?? Unless... he ripped one.... That was it!! That was what he could do!! He could rip a tissue, or an ace bandage- which, Georgius was wasn't sure he had... but, he was a Guardian. He could find a way to get one. Georigus cast a glance at the small girl on the piece of floating earth, before running over to his bathroom to find something he could rip up and use to cover the profusely bleeding cut. He had to have tissues or something. After all, Erion, being the one to stay in the sky and clouds all day, got sick fairly often. His older brother should have a little something for when that happened. Sure enough, an abnormally large- even for a giant- tissue box sat in his bathroom, right on the sink. He quickly snatched a few up, not sure how many would be needed to help stop the bleeding. Georigus wished he had some ointment or something to help treat the bleeding.... but no one he knew- before this event, of course- actually bled, and therefore didn't need anything to help stop it. Depending on how long this girl would stay, he might need to pick some up. He just wasn't sure how he would actually manage to do that. Georgius quickly stopped his wandering thoughts. He needed to help Rosie, who was currently losing blood at an alarming rate. He went back to his room as fast as possible, but made sure his steps were careful. He didn't want to shake the poor little girl off of the platform she was on.. The second he saw her again, Georgius faltered. He had no idea just how he would even get this onto her... Sure, he would rip the tissues into bits, but he couldn't exactly use his hands to get it onto her body. And, what could he use to keep them on?? He sighed. He'd have to think of that later. Right now, he needed to get the bandage onto her. Georgius tore off a bit of the tissue that he could hold firmly in his pointer finger and thumb and stuck in straight onto Rosie's cut. He gently pushed her over with his finger, but laid his hand out under her to break her fall, and to keep the tissue bit in place. He gripped on of the ends of the tissue, and wrapped it around her body-or, rather, her waist. He then did the same with the other end. Georgius kept doing this over and over until he ran out of the first tissue- which actually took a while. It didn't look as if any blood would go through all that layering, but, just to be sure, he got a few bits of the second tissue and wrapped it around her. And, if it did bleed through from there, he would just get some more tissue bits. The Earth Guardian was actually very proud of himself that he had been able to actually bandage her up. But, now the main problem was how to keep the bandages on. The ends were already starting to peel off. There was no way they could last for however long they needed to. Tape?? That would work. The strips were probably the size of her waist, and would hold everything together. But, was there any here?? Georgius quickly walked into the kitchen area- which couldn't really be considered that much of one, seeing as it was surrounded by rocks- and dug through dozens of drawers, hoping to find some type of tape, or even glue. He had to have been having a lucky day. That was the only way to explain the tape sitting right in the center of the last drawer. And, the fact that he had tissues in his home. Well, that wasn't luck, seeing as he needed them for his youngest brother, but still. Again, using fast, tip-toed steps, he walked back into his bedroom. Georigus ripped off a strip of tape that would fit her nicely, and put it on Rosie the same way he had with the tissue bits. It fit her nicely like the Earth Guardian had expected and went the tiniest bit above her waist. Now, all there was left to do was wait. To wait for the girl to wake up, to wait to see if the cut would stop bleeding, and to wait to see if she was okay. Gingerly, Georigus scooped up the small girl into cupped hands, trying his hardest not to jostle her (which is never easy, when every step was like an earth quake to her) and set her back on his bed- more specifically, on the same pillow she had been on. If only she had stayed there, he thought, then she would've been fine.. The Earth Guardian sighed once again before setting himself down next to her, watching to make sure Rosie was okay. ___________________________________________ I realized now how confusing I made Georigus' home out to be. Basically, it's like a regular house, except walls, floors, and ceilings are rocks. He has normal furniture- well, as normal as fancy stuff can be, I guess- that just lays on rock....... it's like nicely furnished cave XD That, and also, when Rosie got cut, her white dress- that some of you remember her wearing XD- got ripped. A lot. So, it basically looks like a shirt and skirt, except it's still together in the back. [glow=blue,2,300]Cookie XD[/glow]

It's Calder's turn, finally. He's been in the shadows for to long!! He needs some screen-er, post- time XD _____________________________________
Ian couldn't believe how much life had changed since he'd arrived- well, the best way to put it was in Calder's home, since he had absolutely no idea where it was exactly that he was at. It was just somewhere underwater. It's not as if Ian was unhappy, not at all. In fact, he's been happier in the past few months with the friendship he'd developed with the giant then he had on land.
It was just... different. Life here was by far nothing like what Ian had experienced. No TV's, no cell phones- or reception, for that matter. Nothing modern. It was as if this place had been cut out of time progression. But, simplicity was what Ian needed now. It was what he craved. He never was big for all that technology and how every new piece went out of style every week. It was just.. chaotic.
Maybe that was what pushed him over the edge. Ian wasn't really sure anymore. He just knew that he got so fed up over something- whether it was at home, or school, or whatever- and he just decided he wanted it all to end. To disappear. To have his troubles fade away completely. So, Ian walked to his town's nearest river and jumped in with no plans of coming back up.
Which, of course, is what partially happened. He did jump in, and he didn't resurface. Only, instead of dying, he was saved by the Water Guardian- a creature he hadn't known existed. Calder took him back to his magnificent underground palace- that, for some insane reason that Ian could never figure out, actually had oxygen in it, just not around it so he couldn't escape- and nursed him back to health.
Of course, Ian didn't give in to that reason so easily. He had read a bunch of fairy tales as a kid, and knew that the giants always wound up killing the human protagonist. Which, to Ian, who was already suicidal, didn't really make a difference. But, that didn't mean he was going down without a fight. He had his death planned out, and he wasn't having it changed by some giant that gave himself a fancy name.
But, Calder proved him wrong- on both occasions. He actually did try and make Ian better. And, by doing that, he proved his fancy title was actually real. This giant literally made all the access water from the river exit his body, but in the weirdest way. He made it flow out of him, pushed it out of his body through his mouth until Ian was back to his normal, healthy state.
After that was done, which only took a matter of minutes, Calder asked if Ian wanted to go back to the surface and live with other humans. Ian- who, at that time, remembered why he jumped into the river to begin with- quickly declined. Actually, he begged to stay. Which, with a chuckle, the Water Guardian agreed.
And, Ian was ecstatic that he had. Life here was nothing short of great. Things were scaled down to his size that he needed- he never asked how that was managed, but he didn't care. He was just happy that they were there. And Calder acted as if they were brothers- not some human that he randomly picked up. It was nice. So nice, that Ian began to slowly but surely forget all his troubles on the outside world, and only think about the happiness that was here. He began to forget the people that were in his school, and what his parents looked like, and just about everything that didn't exist inside this underwater kingdom. And, truthfully, he couldn't be happier.
A smooth, fleshy surface engulfed him and drifted Ian out of his thoughts. It had become such a part of routine that he didn't freak out like he had at first, and he didn't bother to ask what it was because he knew. Calder. He was raised off the floor he had been sitting on for no reason whatsoever and raised up, past a larger than life couch that would take someone Ian's size hours to climb up, and up onto a chest that could sit a pool and a half- maybe two. A hand that was Ian's height sat behind him, with only half actually touching him by staying under his body.
"What had you so deep in thought that you didn't notice me coming around?" the giant asked with a light laugh- anything louder and it would've shook Ian to his core.
"Just... stuff," the human boy answered simply, shrugging.
"Stuff such as...."
"How much I like it here."
That earned him a smile- and a very large one at that, "Glad to know you do," Calder said softly, using a giant digit to stoke Ian's back.
"'Course I do. I mean, everything's so much better here than I'm sure it could've ever been for me. Why would I not be?"
The albino looking giant didn't answer, just smiled softly and continued to stroke the human's back, which made said human smile right back. That lasted for a half hour- the stroking, not the smiling- before Calder brought the fifteen year old Ian up to where his pillow was at and set him right next to it. The two grinned before closing their eyes and drifting asleep...
Or, at least, Ian thought that's what they were doing. Just as he was about to doze off, Calder sighed in a way that would've been lightly for him, but was enough to wake up Ian.
"I... have something I need to tell you..." the giant started off awkwardly.
