"Let me go," I yelled to captor "let me go!!!!" He ambushed me when I entered my room. No one was home to hear my screams for help and the only neighbors we had were on vacation. I started kicking harder and successfully kicked the man on the head. Surprisingly, he still held on. Of course this just made him mad.
"No can do the boss wants to talk to you..." the man said in a gruff voice. This was the third time he said that.
"WHO IS THE BOSS. WHY WON'T YOU TELL ME!!!!" I roared and started struggling even harder than I have ever done before. I guess my captor was getting tired of trying to keep me still because holding with one hand, he reached in his coat and injected me with something. Seconds later I was unconscious.
I woke up in a white room in a hammock that had no door or windows. The room was kind of earie. The room had four white speakers hidden in the corners.
"Where am I?" I asked myself.
"You're at your new home." said a male's voice coming from the speakers making it sound as if he was all around me. I looked around to see if there was a way out...not even a crack was found.
"Who are you and why are you doing this to me." I said, "Did Sam put you up for this. If it is, then tell him to grow up and stop it with the pranks."
A spine-crawling laugh came from the speakers. It sounded...amused?
"You really don't remember me, do you Kat?" noted the strange person. This spooked me because this person knew my nickname. Usually I would immediately recognized someone by the sound of their voice even on the telephone, but him something in the back of my mind was buzzing and I couldn't figure out why.
Cautiously I asked "How do you know my nickname?"
We use to be very good friends," Please tell me this isn't happening? "in fact,” the creepy voice continued, “we use to be lovers.”
“You’re crazy; I never dated anyone in my life.” Except Jack but that was just playground dating, I thought nearly missing his reply.
“Oh Katherine, you honestly don’t remember do you? Well then that must have been a very powerful spell you put on yourself for you to not remember all of those memories you had. Those adventures-“I interrupted him before he could have said another word. “Would you stop already? Just tell me your name MAYBE; just maybe I might remember you. Deal?”
All was quiet. Maybe I finally shut him up. Sadly, my prayer wasn’t answered. “Samuel Jenkins.”, was all the guy could say? Samuel Jenkins? I never heard of it before. How does this man…no this insane maniac knows me. I couldn’t ...no shouldn’t think of this now. Right now I had to find a way to get out of here alive.
I took a deep breath and said, “You’ve got me completely confused with someone else. I don’t know you…. Besides if you wanted to talk to the person you are looking for, locking them up in a windowless room will make them want to avoid you. No offence.” Hopefully the chick he was looking for wasn’t this good at trying to talk to a guy that behaves like this. She probably would have started screaming and running around and cussing her mouth off telling this guy to release her. That was when I realized that everything was quiet (except for a buzzing sound telling me that the guy was still there)…not a good size. Right when I was about to say something Samuel Jenkins’s voice came back, “Nope…..you’re her all right. I’d recognized you anywhere.” I somehow had a feeling that he was smiling when he said that last remark which made me feel uneasy.
“Now,” he started, “I’m coming to see that you will HAVE to ask for my help all the time.” The buzzing sound suddenly went off. I turned to the door and started backing away from it knowing that the strange man was going to come from that door and do God knows what to me. The Jenkins guy sounded very happy when he said that last statement.
After, what felt like hours, the door opened revealing a tall 5”4 teenager that looked like he was eighteen or nineteen years old with raven black hair. His eyes were so dark; it seemed that they were pitch black that gleamed with excitement. This was Samuel Jenkins. His attire was giving me chills; everything he wore was black, from his black long-sleeve shirt to his black converse. Don’t get me wrong, I hang out with some friends of mine that were Goths but this……..this was plain terrifying. Not only did he just wear black, but he had a brown leather-worn pouch hanging from his waist. I hate to admit it but he looked hot, but he seemed strangely familiar.
Before I could say a word, he reached into his pouch and brought out silver dust. The dust sparkled so much that I thought that it was simply just glitter. I simply stared at it with wonder at its beauty. The next thing I knew, I was being covered with the stuff.
“Hey,” I yelled “What the heck!”
Suddenly my surroundings started to change; everything, including Samuel Jenkins, was getting bigger. I started backing away from him when he looked like he was sixty feet tall, what did he do to me, I thought but I already knew the answer; Samuel Jenkins had shrunken be to the size of five inches tall. He reached toward me causing me to scream and turn around. I ran as fast as I could but apparently I wasn’t fast enough because he simply just plucked me from the ground. I looked into his black eyes and for the first time in my life I fainted.
When I regained consciousness everything was blurry. I sighed and closed my eyes listening to my surroundings. There were loud voices, two of them to be exact.
“I’m telling you Alex, taking her was a bad thing to do what if those people try to come and find her.” Stated a gruff male voice.
“So Zack? Did you see the place she was in?” Replied another voice thick with anger “Let’s just go to bed kay? Don’t worry; I’ll take care of her. Night”
“Yeah, night Alex.” After that there was silence. I sighed and dreamt into comforting dreams that night.
The bright sunlight woke me up from my sleep. Grumbling, I sat up, my eyes half-opened, and stretched my muscles waking me up even more. I shook out the last of the sleep out of my system and opened my eyes. What I saw was unbelievable. Right next to me was a dirty-blonde haired guy sleeping, but that wasn’t the shocking part; the guy was fifty or sixty feet tall. He was a giant. How, I thought, when, wh….. I stopped remembering what had happened to me with that Samuel guy. Hopefully this guy was the good guy. All I had to do was to wait for him to wake up or to hide and find out if I should trust him.
I observed my surroundings and saw a bedside table extremely close to the pillow I was lying on that I would be able to jump onto it with ease do to my amazing athletic ability. I jumped onto the table and quickly hid behind a small (to him) table lamp and waited. After what seemed like forever, the giant started to wake up. At first he started to stir but then he finally sat up. I held back a gasp, he was gorgeous; he wore no shirt showing a six pack and a pair of cargo shorts. Despite his good looks I had no idea if he meant any harm to me. Still my gaze lingered onto his eyes. They were a deep forest green color. I wanted to look at those eyes all morning.
I quickly shook off the thought as he turned toward his pillow. His eyes widened when he saw that it was empty, immediately he started looking around the bed. I ducked down before he could even look this way. I mentally kicked myself for not leaving my black wool jacket on the pillow, because the lamp I was hiding behind was white as snow making me look like a black smudge on a white piece of paper. I then realized that the giant was making no more noise. Resisting the urge to look from behind the lamp I just stayed quiet.
Then I heard a voice in a loud yet soft voice, “Miss please come out,” the voice pleaded, yeah right I thought rolling my eyes, “I promise that I won’t hurt you. Please. My brother and I got you out of that place.” Swallowing hard I slowly started to come out from behind my hiding spot. I looked up at him and saw him looking around. I noticed him wearing a golden hoop earring on his right ear. He turned and saw me on his bed stand. Slowly as he could, he slid off his bed and started to lean toward me. When he gets closer though, I started to back away at his looming figure. He stopped after seeing this. Slower now he sat down on the floor his dark green eyes looking in my dark brown eyes.
“Hi” he said softly.
“…..Hey” I replied. My heart started to beat faster when I saw his hand coming closer toward me.
"No can do the boss wants to talk to you..." the man said in a gruff voice. This was the third time he said that.
