This RP is between myself and DJ Yellow ;).
The setting is in the future, after a third World War that devastated the planet and the human population. Several different factions fought viciously, until a radioactive fallout caused many varieties of mutations to occur within animals and even some plants. Some people changed size permanently, while others took on animal-like traits.
The RP will take place a few years after that fallout. In the rubble of the old civilization, the human population has been reduced quite a bit, and in fact few unchanged humans remain alive. The new groups have to figure out how they will adapt.

I shall post my character I don't like writing long Bios because 1. I'm lazy, and 2. I like revealing more about my character Name: Ken (Sometimes likes to be referred to as Kenny) Age: 17 when the war's climax had first happened. Everything else: He lost most of his family besides for his sister which he has pretty much lost contact with over the years. What's strange about Ken however, is that he is the only person he knows who hasn't had any major effects from the radiating fallout. Some consider this a blessing, others do not for their own reasons. He personally doesn't care how strange other people look now, he kind of just deals with it, besides, he thinks some of the changes to people had made them more alive personality wise. Ken never did care about the big war going on, he didn't even know any of the countries that were involved in said war, he never bothered to look up about it on the Internet. He didn't care because he had lived through quite a few wars in his lifetime, and none of them had effected him in the slightest way. It wasn't because he was stupid, or just another kid who doesn't care about the world around him, it's just that he didn't see any reason to care about such a war, until that is, the war got so big, countries, including the one he lived in, were being bombed after the first launch. In a matter of minutes, he saw how the war would effect him. Ken's clothing usually doesn't change much, he likes to wear mostly punk like clothing,(Dark colors on shirt and pants, ) usually wears a heavy dark jacket, just because he likes it. His hair color is a dark black with some red mixed into his hair.

My Character(s):
Name: Merrigan "Merri" Ottmer Age: 17
Appearance: In the fallout, Merri was changed in several ways. Most notably, she was reduced to a height of about 5.5 inches. She has straight, shoulder length hair, which was tinted a sage green in the fallout. Her eyes are a vibrant hazel, ironically not changed at all. She has a thin, well-built frame, evidence of her athletic talent and stamina. She makes her own clothes, so they are generally pretty colorful and often mismatched since she can't always find enough of one kind of fabric. She covers herself with a hooded cloak of a more neutral color, in case she needs to keep hidden (which is often, actually).
Background: Merri joined a radical rebel group at an impressionable age. She fought alongside them, generally relegated to tasks of delivering messages or spying because of her speed and ability to evade enemies. When the fallout came along and ended the war, her group lost morale when its cause disappeared. Worse, she started to notice changes in her own physiology. The group disbanded as everyone had to focus on their own changes. When Merri woke up one morning and everything around her was of gigantic proportions, she fled the city and abandoned everything she knew.
~~~~~~~~~
Name: Lucas Davin Age: 15
Appearance: He has shaggy brown hair and dull yellow eyes. He stands at about 5'6", short for his age. He has a very thin frame, but he still stands out for the bushy wolf tail and ears he sports. He acquired the ability to shift to a more wolf-like form as a sort of secondary mutation from the fallout; he doesn't really know why he got the mutation late, but it's become one of his pastimes trying to control it.
Background: His parents were killed in the fighting, and he ended up fleeing his home shortly after the fallout. A lot of people in his hometown had reacted badly to the fallout, and a rather nasty slaughter of the changed people had begun ... in the end most of the people either fled or died. He ended up in Ken's group of survivors by pure accident, but decided to stay for the acceptance and safety they offered.
(time to finally begin then, haha )
Ken whistled a tune as he started to walk outside of the ruined city he calls "Home". He was a well respected member of the community as the years passed by, and he was usually the one who found fresh fruits and water for the rest of the surviving citizens. He didn't mind doing this, after all, he needed to do something for a community of citizens that have changed in insane and sometimes quirky ways. He doesn't have any quirks, which makes him feel just a little left out, some people became more animal like, some gained powers, and some became completely different. He was the samecas he was before this happened.
He walked into a ruined wasteland, with a decent amount of trees with some small fruits growing on top of the trees. "*Sigh*, time to get picking, and then I send them to the city..." He sighed to himself, walking up to one of the trees. He was glad the trees hadn't died during the fallout, or else they would all be incredibly screwed.
Merrigan stumbled over a fallen branch. In reality, it was only a twig, but she made herself feel better by still thinking of it as a branch. She'd been walking all night and into that morning. The evening before, she'd had to avoid a pack of smallish foxes that had, at some point during the fallout, managed to grow an extra pair of legs each. And it didn't make them clumsier, either; it had made them very annoying to evade and she'd missed a night of sleep over it.
Her feet aching, Merri shuffled to slump against the root of a fruit tree. She thought that, after a rest, she'd try to go about getting some of the fruit from the boughs that hung so high above her. But for now, she wanted to rest. Even so, as she brought her gaze down from the fruit, her eyes fell upon someone approaching. It was someone who had remained normal sized and, well, normal looking in general. But Merri couldn't be certain, and caution was her best friend, with such a size difference. She put her hood up and darted around the tree and drew herself close to it, knowing it was a cruddy hiding place but having no other options. She cursed herself for assuming the ruined city had no inhabitants.
Ken casually walked to the tree and looked up at the orange's that were growing on top of it. "Oranges... I guess I can bring those, some can be used as food, and maybe I can also make the oranges into juice for myself.." He smirked and laughed under his breath as he said this, he always needed to be in a good mood, after all, the world was in such a crappy position right now, he needed to always be in a uplifting mood just so he can get through with the days.
Ken carefully jumped onto the tall tree, and slowly started to climb on top of it just so he can get some of the fruit, he continued to climb up and up the tree, until he made it to one of the branches where the fruit were hanging on. "Alright, now to just get some of these and I'll be done..." He tried to reach with one of his arms some of the oranges. He plucked off a few of them and held them in his arms, "Okay, I got a few of them, let's just ge- Ah!" Suddenly, Ken lost his balance because of his stupidity and suddenly fell off of the tree, with the oranges he was carrying went tumbling down towards the grass and rolled away.
He fell onto his bottom, and sighed as he rubbed his head after he gained a headache. "Darn it..." He sighed to himself. "That always happens..."
Merrigan watched with a begrudging envy at how easily the normal-looking boy climbed the tree. He couldn't have been much older than she, but still he managed the climb in minutes. She had to crane her neck back to see way up into the branches as he started to gather fruit. She was so focused on watching him that her hood fell back onto her shoulders as she stepped away from the tree trunk ever so slightly, to see better. By her estimate, he'd take a while to return, so she'd have time to hide.
Of course, she'd thought too soon. Before she knew it, oranges were raining towards the ground as the teen lost his balance. And he was falling with them. Merrigan yelped involuntarily as she turned and ran, her arms over her head to protect herself from any oranges falling on her; to her, they were the size of boulders and would surely knock her out.
And then the boy hit the ground only a few feet behind her. The tremor it caused wouldn't be much to him, but Merrigan tripped and fell forward, face first in the short grass. She pushed herself up to her hands and knees, coughing slightly and shaking her head, dazed. She examined her palms, noting a few small scrapes from catching herself. He spoke and she turned her head to look at him, freezing now that she saw how close they really were. She hoped he'd overlook her because of her decently-camouflaged cloak, but she'd forgotten about the hood.
Ken rubbed his head slowly while grunting, he never liked gathering the dropped fruit whenever he would fall from the fruit trees, and that was a very troublesome problem that kept on occurring, very rarely would he make it back down without falling down, and watch the fruit fall down in annoyance. "Well, looks like I have to pick all of this up... As usual." He whined, picking himself up and then wiping away some dirt and grass from his clothes.
After cleaning his clothes up a tiny bit, he turned his body and looked down at the oranges that were scattered everywhere, he gave himself another whiny sigh and looked down below him, he started to gather the oranges that were the closest to him, after picking up about five of the oranges, a small slight he did not notice before became apparent, he suddenly shifted his focus completely on the tiny girl, the tiny girl with the hood. He stood quiet, and stared at her, surprised and confused to see such a small person. He never knew people could be shrunken because of the fallout years ago.
Merrigan remained where she was as he stood, though she had to crane her neck back more to keep an eye on the boy's face. He seemed a bit lax ... which was a good thing if she was to slip by unnoticed. Then, he looked right at her. Merri blinked in surprise, though she really couldn't have expected to be hidden out in the open like that.
She stood in a hurry and turned to face him, gazing upward warily. She couldn't afford to blindly trust this guy, but she hoped he at least wasn't the type to just try to squish her without a second thought. He may have looked normal, but perhaps the fallout had affected his mind. She took a few hesitant steps back, and bumped into one of the fallen oranges. She glanced at it before turning her focus back on the boy, to see what he might do next.
Ken watched the girl stare back up at him, she looked equally confused and surprised as he was, so they continued to stare at each othe. Ken saw the girl back up slightly and accidentally bump into a orange, he stopped staring at her blankly soon afterwards, and grew a slightly concerned looks face. "I guess you seem... Frightened." His voice didn't usually come out as It usually would, rather it sounded more soft, and slightly nervous. "Who are you anyway? And how long have you been hiding here?" He prosecuted, wanting to know more about the tiny girl. "Wait no.. Scratch that, you don't have to answer that, sorry."
Ken tilted his head slowly, and kneeled himself down towards the tiny sized girl. "Well, if I did do anything that troubled you or anything... I'm sorry about that, okay? It's probably hard living like this so I'm a sorry if I caused any trouble.." He rubbed his back as he said this. "Well, how does this sound? You can have some of these oranges? That sound fair?"
Merrigan was only slightly surprised at his suspicious questions. After all, it made perfect sense for him to get a little weirded out to find someone new on his turf. It made her wonder whether he was alone or if there were lots of others living in the wreckage of a town behind him. She also wondered whether this guy or anyone he knew had any strong political convictions ... if so, it could prove very bad for her, if they were against the work of her old rebel group. She decided to avoid that subject.
She shuffled her feet nervously, when he knelt closer to her, but didn't flinch or try to back away. The scale of things still somewhat unnerved her, but not enough to leave her overly jumpy. When he mentioned his offer, she glanced at one of the fallen oranges. It had been a long time since she'd had one. But she shook her head. Her answer was soft, but not too much that he would have to strain too much to hear. "I can't carry it or cut it ..." she explained with a shrug. "And I haven't been here very long, really. So I didn't mean to intrude on your territory or anything."
Ken carefully heard the soft words that were coming from the shrunken girl, he put hid hands in his pants pocket and nodded down at her, he picked himself up, and then sighed at her. "Ah, okay. I can completely understand that I suppose so." He started to tap his feet slowly to a imaginary beat he had made up. "So, um, I guess I'll be getting these oranges and then going to back to the city with the other survivors..." He shrugged, beginning to again pick up a few oranges.
"Though, I'm not sure you'd like this offer, or even want to be in a ruined city full of others, but you'd like to stay in the city with me? I don't live with anyone, ever since my sister slithered away from me forever and started to hunt down food in the forest like some kind of animal.." Ken sighed slightly, his sister was a snake hybrid, part snake, and part human. She looked pretty crazy to him, and even a little scary. "Though, I'm okay if you refuse, I can understand cause your small and wouldn't like being around people bigger then you, right?"
Merrigan's eyebrows raised slightly when he mentioned the other survivors. So there are more around, she mused to herself. She kept her eyes on the boy as he again bent over to pick up the oranges he'd dropped. She even stepped aside to be out of the way of the one nearest to her.
At his offer, she tilted her head. He seemed like a really nice guy. And it would be nice to have some stability after years of running. Merri made a thoughtful face, her hands on her hips, as she considered. Even if it was some sort of trap, it wouldn't be the first she'd have to get out of. And if it wasn't, well, she could give it a try and see how the ruined-city life treated her. She looked back up at him, shaking a lock of her green hair from her face. "I could use a place to rest for a while, I guess," she admitted, though she wasn't sure her voice would carry all the way up to him. She hoped it would.
Ken barely heard the tiny girl's response, but what he heard made him grow a slight happy smirk. "Ah, that's great, guess you should follow me back then." He looked down at her, and then turned away suddenly, but then a thought came to him, he remembered back before the fallout, whenever he watched a movie that had anything to do with people of completely different sizes, the nicer giants would pick up the smaller people in a friendly way, by asking them if they would like to be picked up. He was a very polite teen, so doing this seemed right to him. "Uh, you okay if I hold you or something?" He turned back towards her, and asked. " The city is kind of far away, and even though m holding these oranges, I can make room for you, though, you can say no if you want.."
Merrigan couldn't help but smile slightly in response to his happy expression. When he turned, she prepared herself to keep a quick pace to follow, by pushing her cloak back over her shoulders, revealing her somewhat ragged clothes consisting of a blue-and-white striped shirt and dark green pants ... she felt a little embarrassed at her appearance and blushed slightly, but shook her head. She hadn't even taken a step when he turned back to her and spoke.
His question gave her pause. Her very cautious side told her to just walk, but her tired side told her to take this opportunity while it was still there. Finally, she replied "So long as you don't drop everything again," smirking slightly at her own words.
Ken smiled down at the shrunken girl again, he could only barely hear the tiny girl, but what he heard was enough to make him happy. "Thank you, little girl." He smirked at her. "I assure you I won't drop you or any of the fruit again, cause that only happens when I'm high up on trees, and I kind of... Err, have a slight fear of high places, you understand that?" He kind of made up a excuse, but he really didn't like going to high places, it always exhausted him.
Ken then noticed something, he was carrying far too many oranges to even gently grab the tiny girl, he needed to think of some sort of solution. "Hmm... I'm carrying way too many oranges to even be able to carry you... Hmm, do you have the ability to climb up my body, and rest on my shoulder or something? If you don't, you can just walk."
"Oh, by the way, I never got your name. Mine is Ken, but some call me Kenny."
Merrigan thought for a moment about the situation. She really didn't want to do much more walking, and it would be more like running to keep up with him anyway. She stretched her arms momentarily to prepare herself. "My name is Merrigan .... people used to call me Merri." She took some tentative steps toward him. "And, Ken, if you're sure you're okay with this, I can probably make the climb." It was an understatement, she knew she'd be able to. But she was skeptical about whether he'd be okay with it. "Hold still," she warned, too, before approaching again.
"Ah, Merri? That sounds like kind of a nice name in my opinion.." He nodded to her, smirking because he can know refer to Merri by her real name, and not "Little Girl". "Sure, I can handle it, just stay completely still, right?" He was a little worried, would Merri's climbing tickle him and cause him to fall down on his bottom again, dropping the load of oranges possibly onto Merri? "Just be warned, I can sometimes be ticklish even by the slightest things moving on my body, though don't worry, I'll be sure to contain myself and not be distracted, okay?"
Merrigan rubbed her palms together and then cracked her knuckles. His warning didn't faze her too much, but still it inspired her to be extra careful in this endeavor. She'd have to let his compliment go unanswered for now. She was too focused on not getting herself hurt. "Got it. I'll not tickle you. You'll hardly know I'm even here," she assured him. And with that, she stepped up onto his shoe to start the climb.
For the most part, it was a really easy climb; Merri was an expert and this was an easy surface anyway. She only had trouble at about his waist, slipping slightly. She took a deep breath to calm herself from the fright of a few seconds of freefall. "This is new," she murmured as she continued. She finally managed to hoist herself onto his right shoulder, perching in a very careful position in case she might fall.
Ken waited and waited as Merri started to climb up his body, and well, he didn't feel her very much, which was pretty surprising. He was somewhat of a jumpy person as even the smallest of things,(Rodents, bugs, birds) that came in contact with him would make him ticklish. Yet, Merri was pretty soft and gentle to him, not once did he feel ticklish besides for one slight moment when she was climbing up his waistline.
When Merri sat herself onto his shoulder, he smirked happily at her, before beginning to walk back towards his city. "Ah, so, mind if we talk while we walk?" He asked to her, in a cheery mood. "So, how does the world look in your perspective? I've always seen in movies people being shrunken or grown, and I always wondered how something like that would feel.."
