I adore the chibis. Sullyman is especially cute, with his overlong sleeves. And Catra looks like he's having fun. X3

I looked up into Keelan's cold blue eyes. I started to shake as one of his huge hands came towards me. A tear slipped free from my eyes as one of his fingers brushed against me. His hand, quivering with anger, flinched back.
"Answer me Amy," he growled, his hand making a fist.
"I don't know! Please don't hurt me!" I wailed falling to my knees. I heard him gasp and his hand unclenched.
"Amy,"he sighed, a tender tone drifting in his deep voice, "I won't. I promise. Please... Just tell me why you are here and alone." His hand returned, pressing gently against my back. I was still frightened, and my voice caught in my throat. I shook my head and curled into ball. I was pushed suddenly to a hard, warm surface. I heard the loud beating of Keelan's heart and I grabbed his shirt still crying softly. The anger in his eyes mixed with the sheer size of him had almost brought my life flashing before my eyes.
"Well, I came in here to find a book on humans," the brute grunted, standing. He made sure that I was comfortable and safe before striding between the filled shelves of new and ancient tomes, fingering each in turn with his free hand. Suddenly, he tugged out a red leather-bond volume in a language I could not read.
"History of Human Occupants," Keelan muttered to himself under his breath. With a frustrated huff and a glare at the cover, he tucked the musty book under his arm and turned on his heel.
"This will have to do. And you will stay with me,"he stated looking at my form securely under his huge hand, "I can sleep soundly that way." Stay with Kool-aid!?
"What? Why?" I croaked. He looked down at me and sighed.
"What is Seraphina found you? She would kill you!" hissed Keelan, "And what would that do to us?" His hand briefly quivered against me.
"What do you mean by us?" I retorted sourly, "You hold no love for me." I missed his cheeks turning a light pink in shame.
"You have brought Catra closer to us in this short amount of time. He use to take his bath alone and lock himself in his room. He ate alone and he rarely smiled. When he did, it was a bitter empty expression. And...me. I haven't sat down to eat in so long. I... am relaxed around you. Like I don't have to take charge and.... not care." The quiver transformed into shaking and his heartbeat sped up. He began walking again, every other step dragging on the marble tile.
"I will take you to Catra. It is clear my company displeases you," he coldly grunted. I pulled on his shirt, but he did not look down. I called out his name, but he did not answer. So finally, I did the last thing I could do at my size. I sunk my teeth into the side of his hand. The old book crashed to the floor, a breeze hitting me in its wake.
"Ack! What was that for!" Keelan roared lifting me up by the back of the make-shift robe. Though his frown seemed to be carved in stone, his blue eyes betrayed his hurt.
"Kool-aid, you were not listening to me!" I growled.
"Why should I listen to a human?" he snarled back, bringing me closer to his mouth. A silent threat shared by the two of us hung in the air, to be eaten and to be once again bitten.
"Because you just suddenly poured your heart out to this human," I snapped. The frown wavered.
"I had a little much to drink," he admitted, his breath stinking of wine this close, "I am not thinking right. A human and a giant. Someone I just met. Forget all of it!" I had cracked his shell, and now the intoxicated giant was taking his emotional state a bit too far. He swung me backwards and the makeshift robe tore. I fell, flailing, towards his feet. He dropped suddenly to knees and held out his hand to catch me. With a thump, I landed breathlessly into his waiting palms. I stayed as I had landed, spread-eagled and gasping for air.
I use to think I was so strong before, but I take all my thoughts back. I was crying again.
"Don't cry Amy. I got you. Please don't. Oh how to stop this!" Keelan cooed, near tears himself, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I got you now!"
"I'm afraid o-of heights K-Kool-aid!" I sobbed covering my face with my hands. Looking at him wasn't helping me forget the feeling of dropping through the air without something safe strapped to your back and no comfort of landing on the hard ground that you were going to be plastered to faster than any prayer you could utter and live. Something pressed against me and the muttered apology washed over me like a warm summer day. I opened my eyes and my heart skipped a beat. His lips were pressed against my side, kissing me where he thought my heart was. The air he was breathing tussled my hair and a tear wet my bare skin. Keelan had been broken.
I reached up and gently pushed him back, though all my limbs were as weak as putty. He backed off slightly to see me better, cheeks red with trying to hold back sobs of his own.
"You are not thinking right," I reminded him trying to calm the both of us, "I think the faster you returned me to Catra, the faster we can...." His fingertip silenced me.
"You are right, but Catra will be sleeping. It is very improper for Catra to sleep with a woman other than the one he is to marry." He stood and reclaimed his book. Steps shaky at first, he began to walk to his quarters.
"Catra is to marry?" I asked him. Keelan nodded. "And what about you?"
"I will not take a wife. I have no want nor need of a family," he sighed, "Besides, I am cursed to live a short life compared to the others." He said nothing beyond that. I held tightly to his pointer, which curved in response to my touch.
"Are you going to marry?" the giant asked with a questioning look. I blinked up at him.
"One day," I stated, "But it won't be tomorrow. Or the next day! So don't even think about it!" He nodded in understanding.
"You will find a good human to take as your husband when you return home," Keelan sighed with a smile that seemed more fake then anything I had seen yet. Was there really feeling between this strange giant and myself. I felt nothing like love, but I felt some kind of newborn bond between us. I also felt confusion.
A door creaked open and he stepped into the dark room. I head the loud snap of a match striking and a large white candle blazed to life. His bed was large and draped in wine red and chocolate brown satin sheets that glimmered warmly in the candlelight. A plain white writing desk seemed to be the highlight of the plain room. A neat stack of books sat in the corner untouched by dust. His room in fact was more clean than anything I had ever seen. He sanitized every crack in the wooden floor until germs were the true myth.
"I'm soooo beat," he sighed, a slur forming in his usually clear voice. He flopped down on the perfectly made bed in a heaping mess. He placed me gently beside him with a light chuckle.
"Amy," he purred holding up the open book, "Can you read this?"
".....no Keelan. I can't." He patted me on the head and began to read.
"Humans are timid fragile creatures that are frightened easily. They are usually bad tempered creatures with no sense of right nor wrong. They kill each other in wars that need not happen.... This sounds nothing like you Amy. Is this right?" His down-crested blue eyes regarded me with sadness.
"No! This is nothing like me! I mean... I..." I was shocked. The words sounded horrible! "Why did you get this Keelan?"
"You needed cloths so I wanted to figure out what humans wore. Red is a royal color, so the red you had on might attract unwanted attention. My intentions were good! I mean it! Believe me..." he explained closing the book sharply. I turned my back on him, thinking about what to say next. But the slowly worsening intoxicated giant ruined the moment.
"I am so drunk!" Keelan sang, completely out of character, "I haven't felt like this in forever! And Arrow still beat me!" He clutched me close to his cheek. He was so warm.
"Stupid intoxicated Kool-aid!" I growled feebly fighting him off. He laughed at my efforts.
"You are not like the book. You are something else," he breathed, "I can feel it." His breathing melded into soft snores. He scooted up until his head brushed against the pillows. I was curled against him like a children's stuffed animal. He sighed my name once and said nothing afterwords. I was crushed against his chest, his heart pounding through me. He flipped onto his back with a groan and kept me firmly in place. Fluffing up his soft, cobalt blue night cloths I made a pillow. The remains of the robe wrapped tight around my body, I feel asleep with Keelan.
I didn't even notice Gill stroll in and blow out the meager light with a soft smile.

What a sweet update. Something tells me that Keelan is going to be absolutely mortified with embarassment, though.
Also, Lol at "I am so drunk!" XD
