( Okay so this was one of my old stories from shrinkingman... but I really enjoyed writing it so i decieded to continue it on here. I might alter or change the story a bit... but here goes. Hope you like it. ;D)

Chapter 1

Deep in a far away land, the stars in the sky sparkled brightly. The golden light shinning from the moon was no surprise due to the fact that today was the day the fairy queen was giving birth to her new daughter.

As queen Iriena srolled down the hallway to her quarters she knew it was time. Within a second there she was in her bed. The doors of the room sealed shut, to only the fairy king, and the royal family. Everyone was waiting for the moment that the new fairy princess would be born. Would she be a gifted fairy? Many members of the royal family wondered, and hoped that she would be. Gifted fairies each had extrodinary unique powers.

Alas, nobody knew the fairy queen was pregnant. It was always kept a secret from everyone outside the castle. When the baby was born it was announced throughout the whole fairy kingdom, and a great celebration was always held. This baby would be no exception.

Suddenly, the baby arose with a bright luminosity. But as Iriena looked at her new daughter, she realized that there was something terribly wrong. All of the faces in the room turned to horror.

The baby had no wings.

Chapter 2 (part 1)


Suddenly, the room arose with loud arguing. Why would a fairy be born without wings? Especially one of royal blood? As the arguing continued the baby began to cry.

Finally the Fairy king decieded to end the nonsense," SILENCE. It is obvious there is something wrong with this....this fairy. Infact it is no fairy at all! It is a monstrosity! And we must despose of it before any one finds out that a creature like this has been born into the royal family. Before it disgraces us all."

All of the faces in the room nodded in agreement, including the baby's own mother.

" But what shall we do to dispose of it?" a voice cut in from the crowd.

"We should kill it!" another voice yelled added.

" No-" the king cut in," If the body is found everyone will soon know of what has taken place here."

" We must despose of it somewhere else."

"Yes," The king agreed," That is what we should do. The baby will die tonight."

All of the fairies nodded in agreement.

Chapter 2 (part 2)

"Everyone leave! And do not speak of what has taken place here, I will take care of the child," The King said darkly.

As everyone left the room except for them Ireina, in her bed, the king shut the door of their chamber. The King sighed, sitting in a maroon colored chair, and glaring at the baby Ireina held. There was something about this baby, besides the fact that it would disgrace his whole family, that burned a deep hatred in the his heart. This baby had to die, and die soon.

Just then, as expected, a low, but clear knock came from the door.

" Come in," the king said in a low voice. In walked a dark figure, wearing a hooded cloak, whose presense alone seemed to bring darkness to the room. Out of the back of his cloak dark, poison colored red and black wings prevailed.

The figure walked over to Ireina, who handed him the child without hesitation.

" If my vision is right my lord, you would like me to dispose if this child where no one will know of the deed?" the cloaked figured breathed.

" Yes Perisis, you gift of seeing ones desires still shocks me," the King answered coldly.

" Well then i must be on my way," Perisis responded, opening the window of the royal chamber. A gust of cold wind blew forcefully into the room, shaking the curtains, and causing the baby to cry. " Lets have some fun little child," the figure laughed darkly.

He then leaped out the window, fast, but somehow gracefully. The baby's cries prevailed, as the figure shot towards the ground below the palace. And just before they both hit the ground, with perfect timing, they shot upward, as the dark figure flew into the night, carrying the wingless fairy.

Chapter 3


Flying over the dark night sky, he knew he had to kill the child where on one would hear its cries. Spotting a small stream with no sign of faires being anywhere nearby, he placed the child on the hard cold ground. The child began to scream, as Perisis pulled a knife out of his back pocket. He lifted his arm back, holding the knife, prepared to strike.

" Whos there?" A voice called in the distance.

Perisis knew he needed to do the deed fast, for someone was coming. Stabbing the child would leave a bloody mess, that he would not be able to clean up in time. Instead he took the screaming child, and dropped it in the stream where it would soon drown. Then quickly, but gracefully at the same time yet again, he took off into the night.

The baby's cries stopped as the child was shrouded under rushing water.

"Whos there?" A fairy called again. As the baby's head rose out of the water for a quick second, the fairy heard its screams.

Rushing over to the river-bank, the fairy quickly looked throughout the water. She was a fairy with copper colored hair, and eyes a cheastnut color. Her wings were a yellow-auburn shade as well. Suddenly, seeing the child drowning in the water, she reached in and pulled it out of the rushing water.

She began to pat its back, as the baby coughed out water, and began to open its eyes. As she patted the child's back, she noticed something quite peculiar. The baby had no wings, how strange. The baby's cries stopped as it stared into the eyes of its savor. And at that the baby smiled, winning the fairy's love, her heart melted completely at the sight of the smiling baby.

"Don't worry little one," she coed," Ill protect you," she said clutching the baby and flying off into the night.

At this moment Perisis had arrived back at the king's chamber. The king opened his window, and Perisis gracefully landed in the room.

"Have you disposed of the child?" the king whispered coldly.

"Yes my lord, the deed is done," Perisis said as his lips curled back into a evil smile.

"Good," the king said coldly," Very good."
