I like it!! I like the way they are communicating, it makes it intriguing, i think it is sweet that the storm giant is helping the drown.

The drow watched and understood the hand motions the giant offered to him. He hopped on his one good leg to fall sprawled out on the giant's palm. He was a bit out of breath, but a happy expression remained on the small drow's features.
"Want?" he asked again offering the giant the meger meat he clutched in his hands, "It... It good!" He smiled and chewed on the end of one of the three strips he took. The giant's skin was warm as he gently handled Elladan. Elladan chuckled to himself.
"Aradil, I hope you can find me," he sighed in undercommon. He looked up at the giant and smiled brightly, a sign of good intentions and trust.
Aradil had told the drow when they first escaped into the forest to open his mind to those he may call friend, for he would find them in unusual places. Aradil had been right. Finding a potentional friend in a giant had to be unusual.
Aultair smiled when the drow offered him some of the dried meat, but he refused with a polite shake of his head. The elf’s kindness and quick trust surprised him and again he felt guilty for his brash actions earlier.
Cupping his calloused hand ever so slightly, he carefully stood up and moved to cut the harnesses of the horses still tangled in the reigns with his utility dagger before surveying the scene one last time and leaving to find a clearing large enough to accommodate his large form for the night.
As he walked he watched the drow in his hand…he looked rather young…perhaps even younger than himself and he was.
“Do you have a name, little drow?” He spoke softly, both out of consideration for the elf and out of exhaustion from such a long day. He placed a hand on his chest and carefully spoke his name, “Aultair.” He smiled before pointing to the drow and giving him a questioning look.
He tilted his head to one side, the long strip of horse flesh almost dropping from his lips. A glimmer of confusion shone in his yellow eyes for a moment before the sharp loook of understanding took over.
"All-tear?" he said, tasting the giant's name. "Aulter? Aultair? Aultair!" He swallowed the last of his snack.
Pointing to himself in the same fashion, he stated, ""Elladan Micar!" He puffed his chest out as if he were proud of himself. "Aultair no hungry?"
“Elladan, eh?” The giant’s deeper voice rumbled like quiet thunder when he spoke the name. Again he gave a polite shake of his head when the drow asked if he was hungry, “I will eat after I set up camp.”
It was nearly completely dark by the time Aultair managed to find a large enough clearing…he gently set the drow down on the ground and set about chopping down several trees from the surrounding area with his axe…making sure to pick dead or fallen trees. He tried to never cut a living if at all possible…As he worked he occasionally glanced in the elf’s direction. He wasn’t really sure if it was out of curiosity or if he wanted to make sure he wouldn’t try to escape. Not that he was holding him prisoner…he just didn’t much care for the idea of a drow running free on the surface. Who knew what sort of trouble he would case. He sat down in the clearing, splitting the trees into smaller pieces to make a better fire…
He carefully stacked them in a cone shape fashion before speaking the spell for fire, “Aroo nar.” And letting the spell roll from his fingers and burst into being within the wood. After the fire got going fairly well, Aultair scooted closer to the drow and pointed to his ankle…
“Bandage?” He asked…it would at least help with the swelling and give him more support. “UH…do you want to bandage your ankle?” He pointed to the bandages on his arms before motioning to Elladan’s ankle.
Elladan didn'tknow what a bandage was. He looked at the blood stained cloth coiled around the giant's thick arms and cringed. He also noticed the bolt still trapped in the giant's fleshy hand.
"Hurt!" the drow cried out. He waved his arms about to gain the giant's compleate attention. He loward one ebony hand onto the other, motioning for Aultair to do the same. The giant understood what was being ask, for he brought his hand down close to the ground. Once the hand was in reach, the drow slipped under it and pulled the bolt free.
"No dead," he stated proudly holding up the un-posioned crossbow arrow before slipping it back into his hip-quiver. He looked up at the giant before taking notice of something stirring in one of the trees, almost transfixed by the small dark shape. Suddenly, a joyful smile broke his features.
"Aradil!" he shouted ending with a greeting in undercommon. His happy face twisted into horror as a large, furry, pink-toed trantula dropped onto the giant's arm.
"Let him free or I bite," the black spider hissed in perfect common tapping his target with one of his bright legs.

This is Aradil? Didn't honestly expect that. Looks like Aultair will have to talk himself out of trouble now.

Aultair frowned, looking around…having not seen the tiny, furry creature perched on his arm in the dim firelight… but he heard the voice…
“What in the nine hells?…” He started to reached for his axe with the arm the spider was perched on…”Show yourself!”
"Aultair! Aultair!" Elladan yelped pointing to his own arm. Aradil looked down at his master with all eight of his eyes, though only the two pink ones worked, in confusion. "Elladan, what are you doing, aiding this stupid giant!" the spider hissed in Elladan's language. Giant had no word in drow, they just did not exhist in the Underdark. Aradil had been to the surface many times when he was a drow, so he knew exactly what Ault was and what damage his kind could do.
"He is a friend. He spared me!" Elladan retorted in the tongue only the spider and he shared. The spider rubbed his face with two furry legs and was knocked off the giant. The black furred form plummeted to the ground, landing in a cat-like fashion unharmed. Just as Aradil noticed that Ault now saw him, two thin ebony arms wrapped themselves around the human-head-sized trantula. Aradil bared his wicked black fangs in warning, one move from Ault he did not like, he would bite him.
Aultair did a double take, blinking at the black furry mass in Elladan’s arms…
“What the bloody hell? Is that a spider? A…..talking spider?” His face crumpled into a scowl when he realized that he had been threatened by a mere spider.
“Oi! Hear now…I mean no harm to your friend. I’m helpin him in fact…spared him even though he killed a troupe of humans.” He growled moodily. He’d had a long day and he still hadn't eaten anything yet so his temper was very short and he did not want to have to deal with a strange creature on top of the drow.
Aradil retracted his fangs and glanced up at Elladan clearly annoyed.
"You try to make your first friend and it turns out to be a giant," he said in drow. He repeated the sentence in common so Elladan could grasp the strange tongue better like he had been doing for a while now.
"Giant? Friend? Aultair?" he repeated pointing to the grumpy storm giant. The spider nodded sage-like.
"Giant?" Elladan questioned scratching the back of his neck in confusion. His upright hair was still crusted in blood and caused his sheepish grin to appear out of place on the drow's features.
"You, explain to him what you are," the spider commanded pointing one pink-tipped toe at Aultair, "By the way, I am called Aradil." He looked at the drow's hurt ankle with concern and took it between two legs. Spinning a thick web, he made a support for the ingured limb. The act of turning his back to the giant was a sign from the equally grumpy spider that he trusted Aultair's word.
Aultair sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, closing his eyes...first he meets a drow...and now the drow has a talking spider companion...He shook his head and watched the two smaller beings for a while before rummaging through his pack and pulling out a flask of ale and large chunk of dried meat...satisfying his hunger before his temper got any worse. He went ahead and honored Aradil's command to explain to Elladan what he was...he again placed a hand on his chest "Giant...storm giant." he explained.

Elladan stared at the giant in horror as Ault tore through his dinner. He began to shake with the realization that the dead meat was going to be him moments ago. Aradil noticed the drow's discomfort. "I know it hurts, but please hold still," the spider sighed in undercommon.
"No....No... I want to go home. Where the only thing bigger than me is the roth and you!" Elladan sobbed in his tongue. Tears poured down his face. He shuffled back to the edge of the make-shift camp shaking his head. Aradil sighed and scuttled to Aultair. But before he got too far, Elladan cried out the words Aradil feared hearing.
"Ssussun! Olot Dos!" he shouted at the top of his frail lungs in drow. The circlet upon Elladan's brow flashed once. The pink crystal-bound spider embedded in the golden circlet bared its unproportioned fangs.
Aradil blanched, twitching violently. He felt his body getting bigger and bigger. His forarms lost their fur and devolped fingers of ebony skin. His newly formed chest shone with scars and he opened his pink eyes. Ivory locks fell to his shoulders. He opened his mouth with a lung-filling gasp. His spider body stayed the same, it just encreased in size. A fully formed drider, a monster that was not drow nor spider, found his legs quicky as he stared up at the storm giant with pink eyes.
"You released me!" he hissed, twisting about to face the sobbing drow. "And you! Show some manners! He has never seen a giant before in his life. And you threatened to eat him, didn't you? Stupid!" Dumbfounded and frightened at the giant's reaction to a mere drow, much less the drider he was, Aradil rushed to the darkness of the forest.
"Wait! Take me!" Elladan cried. With a sigh and a shallow shake of his head, the drider bore his short fangs into Elladan's shoulder. His master's hot, sweet blood rushed to fill his jaws.
"I will reutrn when this wears off. Trust me," the drider spat before vanishing in the trees to escape whatever the giant might have done to the most feared creature of the underdark. Elladan tried to stand but found he could not move. He was growing cold, fast. This wasn't the posion drider used to kill, but to paralyze their prey for transportation. But it was a weak dose. Elladan's fingers twitched.
"Help...." he moaned like before, taking strength from that one word.
The single word the drow moaned shook Ault from his disbelief at seeing a drider for the first time. He growled a the retreating form before turning to Elladan, expression full of worry.
“Elladan?” He turned his eyes from where he had been watching Aradil disappear into the forest and looked to the little drow on the ground… He wasn’t sure what sort of venom that cursed creature had injected into the elf, but Elladan’s body didn’t seem to be taking it well.
He set aside his dinner, cringing as Aradil’s words repeated themselves in his mind and he cursed his insensitivity towards the naïve dark elf. Elladan knew near to nothing of the surface…he should be more gentle in his ways around him.
“Elladan, what’s the matter?” He leaned forward reaching towards the pale drow… He frowned to himself, thinking. Some comrade the drider must be if he bites his own friend before abandoning him.
Elladan moaned in pain. His skin was ice cold and his lips a purple hue. He looked at the strips of meat abandoned next to him. As Ault leaned closer and reached for him, Elladan screamed, a broken and pathetic sound. He cringed, bringin gthe only moving part of him, his hands, to his face halting the giant's movement.
When he saw that the huge, imposing hands stopped, he took the meat in his shaking hands and pointed to the giant before ripping one apart with his mouth and pointing back to Ault. Spitting the meat out, he turned his shaking finger back to himself and fresh fearful tears dripped from his eyes. He was shaking badly now, and it wasn't just because of the posion. He thought about how foolish it was to trust the giant so fast and saw what Aradil had meant. He hadn't realized what damage those powerful jaws could do, until seeing him eat. Doubling over into a limp ball, Elladan groaned and allowed the dirt to mix with his tears.
Aradil panted as he found a large enough branch to use as a perch. His pink-laced ivory hair hung in his face. He could faintly see Aultair leaning close to where Elladan should have still been grounded. The drider sighed, glad the giant didn't give chase.
"I'm sorry Elladan," he whispered, "I shouldn't be using you like this. But you're so dumb at times. Now giant, what are you going to do?" He stayed there and watched closley, praying to whatever god or goddess who would listen to a drider to allow everything to remain all right.
-----------------------------------------
Well now, updates may be slowing down slightly. We are getting to the part where it cuts off and the data was lost from Fang's comp. We are working on it, bare with us!
And anyone want a glimpse of a doodle of Elladan and Aradil, if I finish Aradil. Dx Spiders are HARD. But hey, Elladan's sketch is done. <__<
HA LIV! Now you HAVE to draw Ault! Fear my evil scheme. >D Or at least.... I hope you will.

Ault’s face crumpled into a look of deep sadness at the drow’s gestures….did he really think that he was going to eat him?
“E-Elladan…” He stopped, pulling his hands back away from the drow, shaking his head…”Oi, now….easy, mate…I’m not going to eat you.” He frowned and shook his head more fervently, waving his hands in front of himself as he leaned away from the dark elf.
“No. NO EAT.” He spoke, pointing to Elladan. The giant gave him a small smile…hoping that his words were clear enough for the elf to understand.
"You... say eat," Elladan sniffled trying to warm himself. He eyes were squeezed shut, refusing to look at Ault. Making the rash action of rash actions, he dropped the darkness on himself again.
"I am so weak without my magic," he muttered to himself. He curled into a ball, dragging his limp legs close with his numb hands.
"Aradil why? What are you plotting?" he shouted in drow hoping the drider would hear, which he didn't.
Ault felt terrible. Normally it didn’t affect him too bad when non-humans acted skittish around him…he would usually just brush it aside and ignore them. But after helping the drow and speaking with him (as much as he was able to) he felt a bit more hesitant about simply blowing him off and leaving him alone.
“Elladan…” He called out to the drow when he heard him shouting something in his own tongue. He didn’t want to frighten the elf anymore…but he also wanted it to be clear that he had no intentions what so ever of harming him.
Feeling a bit hesitant, he slowly reached out and cupped his hand on the other side of the shadow orb before slowly bringing it towards himself until he could feel Elladan’s back against his palm…gently scooting him forward until he was no longer covered by shadow. Ault looked down at him with an apologetic expression…his usually stormy eyes shifting to a dull, gentle blue/gray.
"Ault not eat Elladan." He said simply.
The drow heard his name being said by the giant, but made no move to leave his darkness. He bit his lip as silence fell upon them. Suddenly, Elladan felt something warm press against his back and pull him forward. His hands scraped the ground friutlessly. The flickering shadow of the giant fell across the small drow. He looked up in fear. Ault's eyes were very breathtaking in the hue they had adopted, a soft soothing color. Elladan stared up at him as he spoke.
"N-Not eat Elladan," the drow repeated, fresh tears washing the dirt from his features. He watched the giant nod slowly with a sincere smile. Elladan shook with cold and grabbed onto the side of the giant's hand.
"Cold,"he muttered, bringing himself close, "I fear you, but not. I... I..." Loosing the word, he rubbed his tempals as if to say 'confused'. He held onto the hand as if nothing else mattered, not the fact that he had blood oozing from various wounds, nor his swollen ankle, or the fire, or the rumbling in his belly, nothing mattered but the warm limb he clung to. Moaning in exhaustion and stress, Elladan slumped against Ault's fingers.
Aradil gasped lightly as he saw the orb of darkness suddenly form. He groaned in defeat as the giant seemed to back away from his master's "hiding place". Every hair on the drider's body seemed to raise up and prickle in nerves.
"Elladan, what are you doing? I'm tr...." the drider began to hiss. The giant was moving! His easily slid Elladan from the darkness. Chewing the inside of his cheek, the drider watched closely. Elladan was not being hurt by the giant! They seemed to be talking. The giant's posture was gentle yet sad, almost burdened. Aradil laughed at turned his eyes to the bright half-moon.
"Thank you my goddess," he almost sang, "I was wrong and this has made me very glad. May you watch over their budding friendship."
Ault sighed…feeling a pang of guilt rip through his huge heart when he saw the drow’s tiny hands desperately clutching at his fingers as he huddled against his palm.
“Easy now, little drow…hang in there.” He could feel the elf’s body temperature plummeting further. Damn drider. What the hell was he thinking? The giant snarled at where Aradil had escaped to.
Ever so gently, he gathered the small body into his hands and shifted closer to the fire, holding Elladan close to his chest. “Relax, Elladan…” He said in a calm tone…
Elladan clung to the side of the giant's hand and looked up at him with tears in his eyes. "Aradil like Elladan," he said patting his heart and pointing to himself as if to say, 'Aradil loves me' moreso than the word he had used. Shivering, he lay spread-eagled in the giant's hands. Tapping his heart again, he pointed to Ault and then back to himself asking if Ault cared about him. Ears drouping and eyes downcast he sighed what everyone seemed to say when they saw him, "Damned drow."
