Okay... My New Story! (Shrieks) Comment if you like it and I'll keep writing!
Introduction:
Alina lived alone with her father, But then again, she always had. Her world was small, as she spoke to very few people, and kept quiet to herself most of the time. That is unless you were friends with her, then it was like her personality changed compeletly, it was like you made her come out of her shell.
Alina lived in a small cottage with her father, about half a mile from the village nearby. Her father was rather tall compared to her height, a mere 5ft. However her father was 7ft". But that was because he was, well, a giant. Alina had never seen her father at his true form, because he always remained at his small height when Alina was around. Why? She did not know. But she was glad he always remained at this height because being around something at his true height, even if it was her father, would frighten her.
It was obvious she had not gotten the height factor from her father, but she had gotten his powers. Her father, like all giants, had certain abilities. His happened to be controlling air. Alina had not mastered controlling her powers, for her father had forbid her to use them. Why again, she did not know.
She felt like her father was always hiding something from her, shielding her from the outside world. Keeping her from discovering her past. For, all she had known about her past was her mother was a human, and her father was a giant. But no matter how hard he tried, he could not keep his daughter shielded from the world much longer. For she herself, would soon reveal her past.

Chapter 1
The Beginning
"Alina!" her father called from the other room.
"Whaaaat?" Alina groaned as she walked into the room.
"Go to the market, and buy some bread and fruit" he said handing her a basket and a bag of gold coins.
"Fine," Alina grumbled to herself as she tied the bag of coins around her waist.
"Go straight to the market, and nowhere else," her father called as she made her way towards the door.
"Yea yea, I know,” Alina replied.
"Straight to the market and back!" her father called again as she walked out the door.
Another boring day like any other, Alina thought to herself. Her father refused to let her practice her powers, and she wasn't even allowed to tell anyone that she had powers, let alone that her father was a giant.
“Our life is no one else's business," he father would always say. And because she had always had to keep herself secretive Alina grew up to be a very shy girl. And although her father had forbade her to practice her powers, she had secretly went into the forest numerous times and taught herself. After much practice, she was able to run with much agility over the years, for she could control the air around her.
When Alina was younger, she would often race the other children in the nearby village, beating them all by far. She was in a class of her own when it came to running.
As she walked slowly to the market she heard a rustle in the bushes around her. Alina was not dumb, someone, or something was following her. She quickly turned her head and glanced at her surroundings. Nothing. She sighed, and glanced at the sac of coins around her waist. Although she was petite and thin, she could surely take any robber who crossed her path.
But as she glanced up her face froze. She cursed herself, it was no mere robber, it was a group bandits. And she was surrounded. With nowhere to run, and at least 6 of them, Alina was helpless.
“Well, well, what do we have here?” One of them said mischievously, as they all drew closer to her.
“What’s a young girl doing all alone in the forest,” added another one. Alina was not stupid; she would not fight them, for she did not want to die. She would give them what they wanted.
“Let me help you,” another one said. And within a second a mere shriek escaped her mouth before a rope was tied around her hands and feet, and her mouth was cover by a cloth. Her screamed became mere muffled noises.
“Keep quiet or else,” one of the said as he held a knife up to her neck. Alina kept quiet as the one who held up the knife to her neck began to walk, taking her with him. They walked deep into the forest, until Alina was sure she was lost. When they were far enough from any nearby people, the bandits took her coins, her basket, and her earrings and necklace, which her father had given to her for her last birthday, when she turned 16. The thought of losing her necklace and earrings brought a small tear to her eye. They were her most prized possession.
Then they left swiftly down the hill, leaving poor Alina helpless, with her hands and feet tied. It was then she noticed one of them had dropped a small dagger. She could use it to cut the rope. She inched her way over to the knife and managed to pick it up with her fingers, and cut the rope tying her legs together. She slowly stood up, but lost her balance. Of course there had to be a hill behind her, didn’t there. She screamed although the cloth was still covering her mouth, as she tumbled down the hill.
When she finally came to a stop, her legs and arms were covered with cuts and bruises. However, she was happy to find the cloth around her mouth had somehow become undone. She sighed when she realized her hands were still tied up. But that was the least of her problems. Now she had no idea where she was at all.
It was then she realized she might be able to use her powers to maybe cut the rope. She concentrated as she tried to control the air around her, moving into one sharp swift motion she sliced through the rope.
“HA!” she called in delight,” I did it!” She looked around her, it was getting late, and she would not make it back before dark. Her father would surely be worried about her. But then again, she would only get more lost if she went back into the forest. In front of her was a beautiful field of flower filled hills. There would probably be a village up ahead Alina thought. At worst she could stay there over night, and someone could show her the way back.
Dark scary forest or flower-filled hills? Alina thought one last time. It made much more sense to go to what she felt was the safer way. After about a half an hour of walking it seemed the hills of flowers never ended, and now the sun was setting. She began feeling regret for her choice; maybe she should’ve gone back into the forest. Then a yawn escaped her lips. And although it wasn’t the safest place to stop, Alina felt it was better than getting more lost. She would continue to find her way back in the morning. She yawned again, and then fell asleep.

Chapter 2
Revenge
When Alina woke up she remembered again what had happened. But as she yawned, sat-up and opened her eyes she was not where she thought she would be. She was in her room, in her bed.
“Huh? But- But how?" she said to herself, confused. As she looked up she saw her father leaning against the wall, his arms folded across his chest, and his foot tapping on the ground.
"I- I can explain Dad-" she began.
"I wanna know what happened, right now, and what the hell you were doing so far from our house,” his voice was calm, yet angry with authority.
“W-well you see, I was walking to the market, and then these bandits came, and they took the gold, the basket, and my necklace and earrings,” Alina said, remembering the loss of her most prized possessions. She continued, “They tied me up and left me in the forest. So then one of them left their dagger behind so I used it to cut my legs free. But then I fell down the hill. And it was getting late, and I didn’t wanna get lost in the forest so I walked forward hoping to find a village.” She paused,” And that’s what happened.
“Dam bandits,” her father cursed,” Well at least it wasn’t something worse.” He came closer and stroked her hair,” Alina your all that I have, I don’t know what I’d do if something happened to you. I know this wasn’t your fault, but please try to be more careful.”
“I- I’m sorry Dad,” she said.
“It’s okay,” he laughed, “Of course you of all people would fall down a hill.” Alina rolled her eyes.
“I’m sure those bandits won’t still be in the same town if their smart, so it’s pretty safe if you go to the market today,” he said handing her sac of coins. “This time buy a basket too,” he laughed.
She sat up, tied the coins around her waist, and then continued to the market. As she walked she thought about it, how had her father found her so far away so fast? She could’ve been anywhere. It was then occurred to her that he had probably grown to his true height when he found her. Well at least she wasn’t awake, she sighed.
When she was almost at the market she heard a faint cry for help in the distance. It was surely those bandits. She wanted her necklace back, and she would not let them get away with another crime. If she was not surrounded she could surely take them, or so she thought.
“Revenge,” she said mischievously as the word escaped her lips. She ran as fast as she could following the man’s cries for help, it was farther then she had thought. Then she hid behind a tree. And listened,” Keep quiet or else bub,” one of them spoke. She couldn’t just come in on them she needed a plan. She slowly peaked from behind the tree and spotted a rope in one of the bandits’ hands. If she could get the rope she could tie them up, and then get what she wanted, her jewelry.
But that would be too risky; no she needed a better plan. She then noticed there was a lone dagger on the floor, probably one that they would use later. Man how often did they leave daggers around? Then she ran with all her might, and swiftly grabbed the dagger hiding behind another tree.
“What was that?” one of the bandits asked.
“Calm your wits, it’s nothing,” another one spat at him. It was then her chance, she found the most distant from the group and in a second had the dagger held up to his neck, her arm around his waist. She pulled him two steps away from the other bandits. The other bandits stared in disbelief.
“Don’t move or this guy gets it!” She yelled trying to hide the fear in her voice. One of the bandits took a step forward. “I mean it!” she said bringing the dagger closer to the man’s neck. He yelped. Of course she wasn’t really going to hurt him, but she wanted her jewelry back. As all of the bandits were distracted, the man who they were attempting to rob made his escape down the hill.
“Let him go,” she assumed the man who was the leader called. “So you’re that girl from yesterday, I see your not as helpless today.” He grinned. As they moved closer Alina did not know what to do. The leader, slowly bent down, and then placed her jewelry on the floor in front of her, and smiled.
“There is your stuff,” he said. She was not dumb; they would clearly attack her as soon as she removed the dagger from below the man’s neck. She let him go, pushing him forward, and snatching the jewelry from the floor, as well as the sac that they had tried to rob from that man. But as she thought they all came closer to her, knifes raised, ready to attack. All she could think of was to run. She took off as fast as she could, she was faster than them, but she could not run forever. She had to think of something.
She sent a burst of air backward, slicing through a tree, causing it to fall to the ground blocking their path.
“Run!” One of them yelled realizing that she had abnormal abilities. She was safe, they had retreated.
She laughed to herself,” I actually did it!” She grinned as she stared at her jewlery, and then put it on. Then she looked at the sac from that man, she opened it up curious to what he was carrying, and dumped out the contents. Inside were mysterious items that she had never seen before, strange book, a small carving of some mythical creature, and a glowing orb of some sort. She held it up to the light, and it glowed a weird color. Then the light surrounded her, and the orb disappeared from her hands. The light was too bright, so she shut her eyes tightly. But when she opened them, she was not were she had been. She gasped,” Where am I?”
She screamed as a giant foot slammed in front of her face. She looked around, she was surrounded by them. She was in a market, but, it wasn’t an ordinary market. It was a market for giants.

Chapter 3
Lost
" Ahhh!" she screamed diving out of the way narrowly missing being squashed by another foot.
She needed to get out of here, or well, she was done for. Spotting a stand in the distance, if she could make it there, she could hide until the market had cleared out. ~~~~~~
Being bored, Taren decided to go to the market. Maybe today he'd spot something interesting.
He sighed," Another boring day.” Strolling into the market, it was as crowded as ever. The market was like a madhouse, people scurrying here and there, pushing, shoving, and yelling.
Then he spotted something strange. It appeared to be a little animal caught in the middle of the mob of rushing people. He watched for a second as it narrowly avoided being squashed. Then without thinking, running full speed he sprinted toward the creature.
The ground began to shake furiously around Alina as giant feet stomped everywhere. All she could think was, "I'm gonna die, I'm sooo gonna die!" Then suddenly she was scooped off her feet, and hidden in darkness. She screamed.
Taren had managed to save the creature, as he quickly grabbed it, clutching it in his fist. The creature let out a cry, but it was better that he had saved it. He decided to leave the market, and let it loose in the nearby forest where it would be safe.
Alina felt like she was being squeezed in all directions, and there was no light anywhere. What was going on? First she was in a market for giants, now she was trapped in darkness. Suddenly she began to feel sick, as her world was moving up and down. Taren was running with the "creature" in his fist.
When he had made it to the nearby forest he slowly opened his fist, unsure what creature would be inside. He gasped. It was a girl, but a tiny one at that. A human girl! He rarely had seen human people, what was one doing in the middle of a giant market? Especially one as crowded as this?
Alina felt the air return to her lungs as her dark prison opened up. She began gasping on her hands and knees. Taren on the other was speechless, not knowing what in the world to say to the gasping human in his palm. Then, she dropped her head down, and threw up on his hand.
"Gah," he said moving his hand and rubbing the throw up off. It was a natural reaction- but he sent the poor human screaming towards the ground. Alina screamed as whatever she was on disappeared from below her, and she plummeted to the earth below. But instead she landed on something rather soft.
"I'm so Sorry!" A voice pleaded from above her, “A-Are you okay?"
It was then that her sense returned to her, she looked up to see a giant worried face staring at her. She screamed and curled into a ball. Not sure what to do, Taren just stared blankly. Was he really that scary?
It was then she realized that the soft thing she landed on, well, it was his hand. She needed to get out of here. Even if her father was a giant, she was scared to death of them. Uncurling from her ball, she did not realize how high up she was. "Good I see your better now-" he watched in fright as she jumped off his hand. Taren managed to grab the back of her dress with two fingers.
"Woah! Why would you do that?" he said in a louder tone. Alina was suspended in the air, and completely at the mercy of the giant. She shivered as his voice yelled at her. Great, now she had made him angry. She managed to look up at his face. It was actually quite handsome besides the tense look on his face. He looked between 17 and 20. His hair has dirty-blond and his eyes a raspberry color. But this was no time to admire his looks.
"Buh-B-Ba-ack off I-, I- have powers you-you know?" She managed to squeak. He couldn't keep himself from laughing hysterically. Was she actually threatening him? Just the thought of it made him laugh.
"He-Hey W-what’s so f-funny!” he just continued to laugh,” THATS NOT FUNNY!" she managed to yell, and make herself sound more convincing.
"No, its just that your, threatening me," he laughed again putting an emphasis on you and me.
"And why is that so funny?" Alina said pissed managing not to studder.
"Well cause I'm a giant, and well-, well you’re not," he said. He waited for her to answer, but she did no reply. "Well?" he questioned.
"Well what?" she replied nastily still hanging by her dress.
"Well aren't you gonna answer?" he asked confused.
"No, cause your right. Now if you will I'll be on my way. So put me down so I can get the heck outta this place,” Alina replied.
"So I rescue you from being squashed, and all I get is a nasty little human," he said rolling his eyes.
She didn't realize it until now, but he had saved her. “Oh- w-well thanks," Alina felt guilty now.
"And anyway I can't just leave you here. This is giant territory, it’s dangerous," Taren replied.
"Well thanks for your concern bub, but I'd like you to know, that I can take good care of myself!" Alina spat back.
"Doubt it," Taren replied quickly.
“Excuse me?" Alina said pissed.
" Well I'm not just gonna leave you here to die, so I'm taking you with me till I can think of a better place to put you-" he was interrupted," SO I DONT EVEN GET A SAY IN THIS!" Alina yelled.
"Wellllll- no," Taren said dropping the girl into his pocket.
"HEY!" Alina shrieked as he dropped her into his chest pocket. "HEY IM NOT DONE WITH YOU! YOU CANT JUST PUT ME IN YOU POCKET! THAT’S AGAINST FREE WILL! THIS IS A KIDNAPPING. OHH YOUR GONNA MAKE MY FATHER REALLY MAD! Let me out please, pretty please with sugar on top? STOP IGNORING ME! HEY I KNOW YOUR LISTENING!"
Taren sighed as the girl continued to yell from his pocket, but he just ignored her. He laughed occasionally when her mood suddenly changed from angry, to acting cute to win him over. But after about a half an hour of walking her yells began to die down. When she was quiet for a good 30 minutes he figured that she had fell asleep. She must've been exhausted. He sighed what was he going to do with a human?
